2024 INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster

Every Quartermaster comes with a lockable center differential, with locking front and rear diffs standard on the Trialmaster Edition trim and optional on other trims. That's a statement about the Quartermaster's intent. This isn't a soft roader or a faux roader. It means business. And though it may not come with massive tires, it does use two coil-sprung axles, each located by four longitudinal links and a panhard bar. It's a combination used by the most robust four-wheel-drive vehicles, an elite club the Quartermaster is hoping to join.

There aren't many vehicles in the Quartermaster's realm: extreme off-road-focused pickup trucks. The closest is Jeep's Gladiator, which uses a similar ladder frame and two coil-sprung axles and has an almost identical bed length. The Jeep costs less and also offers only a single six-cylinder powertrain. Otherwise, you're looking at midsize trucks like the Toyota Tacoma, Chevy Colorado and Ford Ranger.
