Overview
Acura's ZDX is the brand's first all-electric offering. Based on GM's Ultium battery platform, the ZDX shares its fundamental architecture with GM products like the Cadillac Lyriq. It's a midsize luxury crossover that offers an anticipated range of up to 325 miles, though that's not yet confirmed by the EPA. Long and low, the ZDX rides on a 121-inch wheelbase, which gives it good passenger and cargo space and serves to smooth its ride.
Edmunds spotlight: Will the ZDX change for 2025?
Expect a 2025 ZDX that's virtually identical to the 2024 model. In its debut for the 2024 model year, the ZDX offered the base A-Spec trim in both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive versions and the 500-horsepower Type S, which is all-wheel-drive and comes with a height-adjustable air suspension, adaptive dampers and Brembo brakes.
Competitors to consider
The number of all-electric luxury SUVs is increasing rapidly so your choices continue to grow. We like BMW's iX M60 for its fantastic drivability, speed and practicality. But have a look at the Genesis GV60 Performance, Kia EV6 GT and Ford Mustang Mach-E GT as well.
