Love my '21 Q5 PHEV
So far, there's nothing not to like. Came from a 2013 Q5 Premium to a 2021 Q5 PPlus + Nav, Warm Weather Package, and B&O Sound system which gets it about half way to a Prestige trim. Loved the 2013 for its looks which were ahead of it's time and copied by the GLC to some extent- in that sense, the 2021 looks are not that cutting edge and only evolutionary. Getting exactly the 20 mile EPA rated EV range which is great for my 12 mile round trip commute. I think it makes sense to get the PHEV if you can do the weekday commute in EV only mode, charge free at home with Solar/Powerwall, and use gas only for weekend drives. Range is 350 miles in mixed driving. Driver assistance tech is spot on- unlike other car makers- is neither overly aggressive nor alarmingly permissive. Adaptive cruise being the best example. As expected, driving in EV mode is completely silent and with a decent road and no potholes there is minimal road noise too.
fun but unreliable
THis is a fast fun car that can be economical or fun to drive but in the 15 months I have owned it, it has been in the shop for five weeks and counting. Waiting of for a part now --a sensor needs to be replace, no A/C. Last winter spent three weeks in service partly to fix something in the dash and partly due to poor acceleration in the winter while in electric mode. The audi app doesnt work either. When everything works its a wonderful car. Also, there was another visit for a check engine light and a recall.

AC isn't working on my new 2021 Q5 plug in...
I bought my 2021 Audi Q5 plug in hybrid in January 2021. In early September 2021 the AC suddenly stopped working. Even when I click up or down on the AC nob, it just remains off. So I took it in to the Audi dealer where I bought my car and I was told that an AC component had to be repaired but the parts were not in stock. What's worse is that the Audi dealer told me that they don't know when they will receive the shipment of the parts. It's been about 20 days now since I brought my car in and my Q5 still hasn't been fixed. They returned my car to me saying that its not a safety issue so I can still drive it... Having a car with no AC in the summer is extremely unpleasant. I'm still waiting for the dealer to notify me on when the parts will be available. Having no AC in a luxury car that's less than a year old with no end in sight of when it'll be fixed has definitely soured my ownership experience. I honestly can't recommend this car to anyone with this type of reliability.

Stopped running with 5 second warning
My 2021 Audi Q5 with 20,000 miles malfunctioned while driving approx 70 mph. The car dash said “transmission malfunction” pull over immediately. Luckily I was able to get to the shoulder before it completely stopped driving. It took road-side assistance 12 hours to tow my car - I waited the first 3. Had to fight the dealership for a loaner. No idea what’s wrong with the car, but a quick google search shows that transmission problems aren’t uncommon in this model.

Audi Q5e - AC keep failing
My Hybrid Q5 having trouble to keep AC running. It was running no problem first couple of month, but sometime it went off position by itself, and just warm air comes out. Stop ending and restarting always make AC running again. But I should not have to do that such on long touring on freeway. Dealer attempt fixing 2 times already. All repair seems same method, replace sensor and charge ac system. But eventually same problem happens again. Now its 2nd summer with this car, and symptom got worse, as AC stop almost after few minutes after car started. Dealer is attempting 3rd repair. If this does not resolve, I may have to discuss with Audi of America.
