Gives me this silly grin...

...whenever I drive this car. I’ve been a long time Bimmer owner and this model gives me the same “Ultimate Drive” joy similar to when I had the 2003 E46 325i car. It drives crisply, handles well through the curves and actually rides smoother and quieter than the E46. The driver's and passenger's seats are comfortable and supportive with multiple adjustments available including adjustable lumbar support. The rear seats, on the other hand, are basically for shorter drives or individuals shorter than 5½ feet, but since this is my daily drive car, that has not been an issue. The rear seats do fold down providing ample space for carrying more luggage or larger items, provided there’s only two in the car. But, really, the best thing about this car is it brings back that Ultimate Drive euphoria, something BMW has drifted from recently.

This is an awesome car. I wasn’t considering a BMW or a coupe or a two door or a rear wheel drive. But I researched it, test drove it, compared it, test drove it again with a 6-speed and fell in love with BMW all over again!

ELEGANT ROAD BEAST

2020 BMW 2 Series M240i 2dr Convertible (3.0L 6cyl Turbo 8A)

Okay, our 4th back to back BMW designed on-line (highly recommend it!). We’ve experienced the 128i, the X5 (still own), the i3 and now the 2020 M240i convertible. I’m 100% a tech geek and the math/engineering behind BMW’s (or any car) matters. My beautiful wife appreciates the style and the power. After studying countless video’s and data across a range of luxury coupes we have NO REGRET in picking (and stuffing it with options) the M240i convertible. I must admit, I really wanted Heads Up Display (HUD) and Blind Spot Indicating System (BLIS) which are not offered as options but the truth is the fun we have in the cockpit easily compensates (e.g. too busy driving and having fun for HUD or BLIS to be missed) and rarely can any vehicle not be detected with the large side view mirrors along with the small, nimble and JET PROPELLED platform. It’s not hard to say the M240i convertible is an ELEGANT ROAD BEAST (0-60 in 4.4) and is one of the best handling small coupes you can buy, certainly at our budget we set of 60K (which we maxed with taxes, fees, and some optional ding/dent coverages). Are the options worth it? HELL TO THE YES! Every last one! Why buy a baseline BMW??? If you get one - GET A GOOD ONE and enjoy life. I’m a military vet, disabled/beat-up and with all the time spent behind the wheel, I want to feel special and be in an environment where I can separate from the chaos, listen to fuel based engine noise perfected by science/math and get the right response when I press on the gas. No, the interior is not a Bentley but the M240i is 100% fun and when others are breaking into a turn I’m accelerating through it in complete confidence. And, though I never want to be on Live PD I must admit keeping this perfectly balanced smile-maker under 100 mph is NOT easy, especially with the top down and an “M badge” on my ass. LOVE THE M240i!

I bought my 2018 230i after having a 2012 Turbo Beetle; they’re both small and have 4 cylinder engines. I live this car so much!! It’s peppy, tech forward and has a decent sized back seat (large enough for people to actually sit back there, unlike the beetle). The led headlights are absolutely beautiful and are very bright! The car is responsive and the different driving modes are fun. Sport Plus will knock you back in your seat a little bit and with eco pro you can get almost 40mpg on the freeway.

Perfect blend of luxury practicality and sportines

If you are looking for a powerful rear wheel drive sports coupe with a manual transmission and room for a weeks worth of luggage for two, look no further. If you want more, just add the optional limited slip differential and you have a track worthy racer. Same engine as the new Toyota Supra, but with more refined looks, a back seat, more headroom, and a MANUAL TRANSMISSION. Porsche Cayman? Absolutely no trunk space and you need the more costly S version for adequate power. The BMW M240I is without a doubt the best car i have ever owned (64 GTO, Mazda RX7, 2 Preludes, and a 2004 Infiniti G35 6MT). Buy it now!
