Under the 430i's hood is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine (255 horsepower, 294 lb-ft of torque) that powers the rear wheels. The M440i xDrive features all-wheel drive and a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder (382 hp, 369 lb-ft). An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard across the board.
