2025 Cadillac CT5 Sedan Trims Comparison

Trim level differences

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 is a midsize luxury sedan available in Premium Luxury, Sport, V and Blackwing trim levels.

A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is standard (237 horsepower, 258 lb-ft) in the Premium Luxury and Sport. With the Premium Luxury trim, you can upgrade to a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 (335 horsepower, 405 lb-ft), which is standard in the CT5-V where it supplies a little more power (360 hp, 405 lb-ft). Both engines employ a 10-speed automatic transmission to turn the rear wheels, and all-wheel drive is available.

A supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine (668 hp, 659 lb-ft) lives under the CT5-V Blackwing's hood. That version of the car comes with a six-speed manual gearbox or a 10-speed automatic transmission, each driving the Blackwing's rear wheels.

Premium Luxury
The most affordable version of the CT5 is nicely equipped with:

  • Automatic high-beam headlights
  • Rain-sensing windshield wipers
  • Dual-pane sunroof
  • Leather upholstery
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Heated, power-adjustable steering wheel
  • 33-inch driver display and Google built-in touchscreen infotainment system
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • OnStar connected services with 5G Wi-Fi access
  • 15-speaker premium sound system

The CT5 Premium Luxury also includes these safety features:

  • Intersection collision mitigation (warns you of an impending collision with front-crossing traffic and applies the brakes in certain scenarios)
  • Blind-spot intervention (automatically steers the car back into its lane if you try to change lanes while a car is in the vehicle's blind spot)
  • Rear cross-traffic warning (alerts you if a vehicle behind you is about to cross your path while you're in reverse)
  • Rear automatic braking (applies the brakes automatically to avoid an imminent collision with an object behind the vehicle)
  • Surround-view camera system (gives you a top-down view of the CT5 and its surroundings in tight parking situations)
  • Super Cruise (uses the vehicle's advanced driver aids to further provide hands-free driving capability on select highways)

Sport
Choose the CT5 Sport for:

  • Larger standard wheels with run-flat tires
  • Blacked-out exterior trim
  • Sportier styling details
  • Additional front seat adjustments
  • Synthetic leather upholstery without ventilation

CT5-V
Besides a standard twin-turbo V6, this version of the CT5 otherwise builds on the Sport trim (though it removes the dual-pane sunroof) with:

  • Unique styling details
  • Revised traction and stability control systems
  • Launch control
  • Limited-slip differential (helps maximize available traction during hard acceleration)
  • Adaptive performance suspension
  • Brembo performance brakes
  • Performance seats
  • Surround-view camera system (gives you a top-down view of the CT5 and its surroundings in tight parking situations)
  • Automated parking system (steers into a parking spot with little or no driver intervention)

Most of the options for the CT5 and CT5-V alter the car's appearance. Two primary option packages are also available:

  • Technology package
    • Adaptive headlights (can automatically adjust to improve visibility in curves and corners)
    • Heated, auto-dimming and power-folding exterior mirrors
    • Hands-free power trunk lid
    • Illuminated front doorsill plates
    • Interior air filter
    • Head-up display (displays important information in your sight line on the windshield)
    • Digital rearview mirror function (allows you to see out of the back even with a fully loaded cargo area)
  • Platinum package
    • Contents of the Technology package
    • Upgraded interior trim
    • Premium leather upholstery (with ventilation for Sport trim)
    • Synthetic suede headliner (CT5-V)
    • Dual-pane sunroof (CT5-V)

CT5-V Blackwing
The high-performance version of this Cadillac sedan offers more than just a supercharged V8 engine. But unless you get the automatic transmission, it does without most of the driver assist features that are standard on other CT5 models.

The Blackwing includes most of the contents of the Technology and Platinum packages, plus:

  • Summer-only performance tires
  • High-performance brakes and suspension
  • Rear differential cooler
  • Thicker steering wheel rim
  • Ventilated front seats
  • 16-speaker AKG premium sound system
  • Additional anti-theft systems
  • Parking sensors (alert you to obstacles that may not be visible in front of or behind the vehicle when parking)
  • Complimentary high-performance driving school

Add the automatic, and the Blackwing also includes:

  • Remote engine start
  • Adaptive cruise control (maintains a driver-set distance between the Cadillac and the car in front)
  • Automatic emergency braking (warns if a front impact is imminent and applies the brakes if you don't respond in time)
  • Intersection collision mitigation (warns you of an impending collision with front-crossing traffic and applies the brakes in certain scenarios)
  • Rear automatic braking (applies the brakes automatically to avoid an imminent collision with an object behind the vehicle)
  • Blind-spot intervention (automatically steers the car back into its lane if you try to change lanes while a car is in the vehicle's blind spot)
  • Automated parking system (steers into a parking spot with little or no driver intervention)

Option packages for the Blackwing include:

  • Super Cruise 1 package
    • Super Cruise (uses the vehicle's advanced driver aids to further provide hands-free driving capability on select highways)
    • Driver attention warning (issues an alert if sensors determine you are becoming fatigued)
    • Different steering wheel with Super Cruise illumination and features
  • Parking package
    • Digital rearview mirror function (allows you to see out of the back even with a fully loaded cargo area)
    • Hands-free power trunk lid
    • Interior air filter
  • Precision package
    • Revised steering
    • Reworked suspension
    • Recalibrated limited-slip differential
    • Carbon-ceramic brakes (provide better resistance to brake fade during high-performance driving)

In addition, Cadillac offers numerous enhancements that alter the car's appearance, including two different Carbon Fiber packages.

Which CT5 trim does Edmunds recommend?

Since the Cadillac CT5 Sport comes only with an underpowered engine, we recommend the Premium Luxury, which offers an optional twin-turbocharged V6 with more satisfying acceleration. Most options relate to cosmetic enhancements, but you might want to consider the Technology and Platinum packages for their appealing upgrades.
