Rear-wheel drive is standard and four-wheel drive is available. The base Luxury model comes with a single-speed transfer case, while most others get a two-speed case.

The Escalade-V ESV is the high-performance variant that adds a supercharger to the V8 for an impressive 682 hp and 653 lb-ft of torque. V models are all-wheel-drive with a single-speed transfer case.
