2024 Cadillac XT4

The XT4 is Cadillac's smallest and least expensive SUV offering. It's been a big seller for Cadillac since its release in 2019, and for 2024 the little XT4 is getting a mild makeover. The revisions are either cosmetic or relate to the interior, and though they might not remedy many of our issues with the XT4, the changes might help make it a more compelling offering against rivals like the BMW X1, Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLB.

The 2024 XT4 is most visually different at the front, where there are two new grille designs, plus thin slots for the daytime running lights and turn signals, with small rectangular pods holding the main headlight clusters. The rear also gets a bit more flaring around the outside edges of the bumper. The overall effect is a more assertive look that's in line with the automaker's newer offerings like the Lyriq and Escalade.

While powertrain revisions are disappointingly nonexistent, the cabin is a slightly different story. The digital instrument display and infotainment screen are now all housed together in one massive 33-inch panel that dominates the dashboard. There are also new design elements integrated into the dashboard area underneath that giant display, and Cadillac has adopted a blue hue to signify sportiness instead of the more traditional red, so Sport trims will come with blue contrast stitching. These changes, along with an increased use of premium materials like leather, help elevate the feeling of luxury.

The interior is largely unchanged, which means you still have the ample space that has been a hallmark of the XT4 since its inception. Unfortunately, our dissatisfaction with the level of interior noise at highway speeds will probably remain.
