DEARBORN, Michigan — It's a coming-out party for the 2014 Ford Mustang Need for Speed edition, as the car stars in a new YouTube video and gets set for a track debut this weekend.

The Need for Speed Mustang will pace the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The pace car, which is spun off the 2014 Ford Mustang GT500, will be driven by Ramon Rodriguez, one of the stars of the upcoming Need for Speed movie.

The one-off Mustang was created for the movie and features a custom-designed wide body with unique 22-inch alloy wheels and larger intakes. While Ford has not released technical specifications on the car, it suggests that it is capable of churning out 900 horsepower.

The movie, which is based on the Electronic Arts video game series, debuts on March 14. The movie's release coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Mustang and the expected debut of the redesigned 2015 Ford Mustang.

Edmunds says: Another milestone for the Mustang and a major highlight of this weekend's racing activities.
