To our distinct lack of surprise, the Honda Odyssey took top honors. The Odyssey's enjoyable driving dynamics, superb functionality and solid build quality helped it snare more than a third (34 percent) of the votes. At a distant 2nd with 21 percent of the votes was the refined, plush-riding Toyota Sienna. With the redesigned-for-2011 Sienna soon to debut, things could change come the next minivan survey. Taking 3rd with 18 percent was the only truly "mini" minivan in the survey, the urban-friendly and more fuel frugal Mazda 5.

What Edmunds.com says:
Reports of the Odyssey's redesign have been greatly exaggerated. The 2010 Honda Odyssey remains unchanged, despite rumors of an expected new generation.
What Edmunds.com says:
Roomy, comfortable and well-built, the 2010 Toyota Sienna minivan is an excellent choice for larger families.

3. Mazda MAZDA5
What Edmunds.com says:
The 2010 Mazda 5 is a smart alternative for families interested in trading a full-size minivan's substantial utility for a lower price tag, greater maneuverability and lower fuel costs.
What Edmunds.com says:
Despite loads of innovative, family-friendly features, the 2010 Chrysler Town & Country doesn't come recommended due to its shoddy build quality and interior.

5. Kia Sedona
What Edmunds.com says:
The 2010 Kia Sedona is all about bang-for-the-buck, delivering virtually all the comfort, convenience and safety features of its high-profile competitors for a lot less dough.
What Edmunds.com says:
The family-friendly 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan is competitive on paper, but it's too shoddily constructed to merit serious consideration in this segment.
What Edmunds.com says:
The 2010 Volkswagen Routan is an improvement over the Chrysler minivans it's based on. But with rivals like the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna to choose from, we can't recommend this tarted-up Dodge Grand Caravan clone.
