Consumers' Favorites: Best Pickup Trucks

The perennial favorite known as the Ford F-150 looks like it will continue to own this segment, as it took 27 percent of the vote -- garnering nearly twice the number of votes as the next candidate. That 2nd-place finisher was the age-old rival set of twins known as the Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra, which took 14 percent. The Toyota Tundra was tailgating the twins as it came in 3rd with 12 percent of your votes.

What Edmunds.com says:
The 2010 Ford F-150 is an excellent all-around truck, though competitors offer a bit more grunt.

What Edmunds.com says:
Capable, comfortable and offered in a wide array of body styles and configurations, the 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is a fully competitive full-size pickup.

What Edmunds.com says:
Despite being one of the oldest full-size pickups now available, the 2010 Toyota Tundra's strong performance and excellent utility make it a top choice for a workhorse pickup.

What Edmunds.com says:
The 2010 Toyota Tacoma is a top choice in the midsize pickup segment thanks to a highly capable nature and wide array of configurations.

What Edmunds.com says:
The 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 sits atop our list of pickup trucks for its strong V8, classy interior and revolutionary rear suspension that makes it the smoothest-riding rig in the market.

What Edmunds.com says:
While the 2010 Honda Ridgeline might not have the muscle that serious truck buyers demand, its unique combination of a carlike ride and pickup utility makes it all the pickup many buyers will ever need.

What Edmunds.com says:
Unless the dealer makes an offer you can't refuse, we advise you to avoid the outdated 2009 Mazda B-Series. More modern compact pickups are available for around the same list price.

What Edmunds.com says:
The 2010 Nissan Frontier is a top pick in the compact-pickup segment thanks to its brawny nature, relatively nimble handling and innovative features.

What Edmunds.com says:
The 2010 Nissan Titan is a good truck, but it's getting long in the tooth. Other full-size trucks outdo the Titan in just about every area.

What Edmunds.com says:
The 2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac is a decent all-around utility vehicle that's worth a close look in this specialized segment.

What Edmunds.com says:
The 2010 Chevy Colorado is a handsome light-duty pickup that looks good on paper. But on the road or trail, where passenger comfort and refinement really count, it doesn't quite measure up.

What Edmunds.com says:
When it comes to towing, the 2010 Dodge Dakota is still top dog among midsize pickups. Unfortunately, the competition trounces the Dakota when it comes to affordability and refinement.
