All trims are powered by a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that offers three output levels. The base version is called Turbo (237 horsepower, 259 lb-ft of torque) and is standard on the WT and LT. Next is the Turbo Plus (310 hp, 391 lb-ft) that powers the Trail Boss and Z71 (available on the WT and LT). The top Turbo High-Output (310 hp, 430 lb-ft) is under the hood of the ZR2. An eight-speed automatic is the only available transmission. The Trail Boss, Z71 and ZR2 are only offered with four-wheel drive, but the WT and LT can also be configured with two-wheel drive.
