2025 Chevrolet Trax Consumer Reviews
Pricing
Whoa...wait is this really a good car?
Okay...if I could rate it 4 1/2 stars that is probably more accurate. It's an inexpensive car after all not a luxury or performance car. The haters always point out two things - No all wheel drive and low horsepower. 1. AWD = Yeah it is nice to have & I actually also own a CX-50 Turbo AWD. When do you really need it if you think about it? Huge snow storm and you need to get your pregnant wife to the hospital, yeah that would be great but so would a lifted 4-wheel drive truck or an ambulance. Do you really need to lay out cash for for an option you really only need a hand full of times? How deep are your pockets I guess is the answer? Horsepower - Again, how often do you need more than enough power than simple merging on the highway going to work? I would say go take one for a test drive and look at the sticker when you get back. Run over to the Toyota or Honda dealer after and do the same. Hmmm, unless you are brand blind or just don't care about the price my bet is you will go back to the Chevy dealer and pick whatever trim and options you want and buy a Trax. I am not at all a Chevy person, 2024 Trax is the first Chevy I have ever bought. I am a Japanese car buyer....well except for Performance Mustangs, everyone has their drug of choice no matter what flaws... Solid built car, way more bells and whistles than you would ever expect, comfortable for daily driving, the interior is nicer than whatever entry level Toyota/Honda you can find, plus it is actually not a bad looking car. Only you can decide. Just give it a test drive before you buy something else......a little time could save you thousands of dollars. The best part is your friends and family will be impressed and think you paid a ton more than you actually did.

You get what you pay for and a lot more
Due to life changes, I could no longer justify a $7xx car payment but I still like the convince of an SUV. Test drove the Trax and was hooked. I'm averaging 33mpg with my type of commute (mostly back roads 50-60mph). It's comfortable, entertainment center is better than it had to be. AND there is room in the back seat! The only short coming of the vehicle is when you push things above 75mpg. It's a fairly light vehicle and anything freeway speeds, it has a tendency to wander a little bit. Nothing bad, but something you need to be conscious about. The motor is more than enough and driven right, the MPG=Miles per smiles. Yes the vehicle carries a ton of plastic bits (like the whole interior), but for a SUV, that fits 4 comfortably at a price point of 22-23k? You can't go wrong. Chevy will probably sell everyone they make. Let's see how it holds up after a few years.

Great car, awesome price
What to expect: solid car, nice amenities at this price, thoughtful layout, lots of room for storage, and comfortable for a tall (6’7”) person in the front seat. Again, overall, it’s a great car at an exceptional low price.

Looks great inside and out. Lots of room, quite ride very good mileage. However a/c broke at 1400 miles no repair parts available still not repaired 4 months later.Today it's in the shop so maybe the 2nd a/c fix will work.....Chevrolet / GM service less than desireable!

Great SUV for the price
I haven't found anything I don't like about this SUV. Very comfortable interior. Quiet ride. Good handling characteristics. Peppy little 1.2 liter. Seems very well built and the designers put in features you'd normally pay much more for. The adaptive cruise control is awesome. Finally, it is a great looking SUV!

Possible safety issue-no inside trunk release.
I really love my 2025 that I just picked up last week, but I have one major concern. There is no interior trunk release button on my LT model nor is there a release button on the key fob. What if there was an accident involving water or an embankment, I can't hop out and pop the trunk from the outside?!!! If I'm missing it, please advise. I contacted the dealership, they said I would need to have upgraded to the 2RS or ACTIV to have the inside trunk release. At first I didn't mind, but now the more I think about it....it definitely is a concern.

Trixy
Love my Trax! Perfect size for a senior aged couple.. Very sporty looking ❤️
Love it
This car works for me. Has enough power to get me where I need comfortably and many of the features I desire. Best value in my opinion.
Right on Trax!!
What I miss is a switch up front to open the hatchback rather than opening manually. The stereo is okay nothing fancy. I didn't have a place to store my sunglasses overhead, but there is plenty of room in the console. However, what I do love about my 2025 Chevrolet Trax is the nitro yellow metallic color and the black decor on the outside and inside. I have the black alloy wheels and the inside has the matching nitro yellow pinstripe stitching on the seats and along the dashboard the color yellow also pops out. I need to get used to the headlights at night for it feels like a shade is being pulled down to drive under it. I like the automatic bright beams that come on instantly. Overall, I'm going to enjoy this vehicle for quite some time. I've never owned a band new car!!

A real value Chevy Trax is a winner
Chevrolet Trax I bought a 2022 for my wife and I loved it so much that I bought a 2025 for myself. The 3 cylinder engine has plenty of pep and I am averaged 32.4 miles per gallon on my first tank of gas. Where can you purchase a new vehicle that not only has looks and drives like a much more expensive vehicle for $325 per month.
Nice Ride
This compact SUV rides well. Great response in steering on curves in road. Comfortable seats and placement of features easy to learn. Nice wide computer display with an array of options.

Happy Driver
Have only had for about 2 weeks, but like the roominess and style of the Trax. Was a little concerned about the 1.2L 3 cyl turbo but it has excellent power. Better than the1.8L 4 cyl in our old Chevy car. Good gas mileage handles well and comfortable ride. Time will tell about its reliability. If it is anything like our old Chevy Sonic, it will be a solid reliable car.

Great Value
Bought a 25 LT with all options (sunroof, lane assist, Blind Spot detection) for $25,250! All other competitors doesn't even come close ! 3 Cyl Engine is more than adequate for daily driving, hoping with regular maintenance, it will be reliable for years to come. so far put in 1500 miles to date, and no complaints. Sure there are areas of improvements, such as no rear AC vents, or extendable sun visors or rear seat cupholders & seat back pockets, but at this price point, I'm not complaining.

what if.Camaro.......... little SUV?
LOL not a Camaro, almost could be, I love this little car, seems not to so little, stands out among other cars in parking lot, mine is white, basic entry level, has all the tech and safety features, no sunroof, so what, no heated seats, rarely needed where I live, decent enough audio, nothing special, in short, it is a classy car, and it does get smiled at, I was a dyed in the wool Saab lover, then Subaru - now, first brand new Chevy, will stay with Chevy, this Trax has just what I need, I am in my 70;s.

Lots Of Repairs Only Owed It 2 months
Only own the Car for 2 months!!! The screen has change colors and the backup camera you can see my plate. When you plug up your phone the speakers make a terrible screaming sound. When you put it in gear the transmission makes the back of the car go down. Took it in to the shop and showed them pictures and because it didn’t happen to them while it was there they said there’s nothing they can do!

Fine when it starts
Like almost everything about the car except I never know if it's going to start. Bought it in September and battery has been dead 3X since December. They take it in and charge the battery every time and tell me I don't drive it enough and I need to start it up and let it run for a half hour every day.

Much more than I expected!
I sprang for the 2RS model with “leather “seat, seat heaters, heated steering wheel! This thing is great on snowy roads( wears 1200$ Continental tires!)Fit and finish are excellent. 25k is a lot of money for a new car but with the average price for a new one at almost 50k, it is a real bargain. Highly recommend.

Actively enjoying the new Trax Activ
This car is just what we were looking for. Modern in every way. Stylish inside and out. The dashboard and infotainment system are great, and easy to navigate. The only thing I could wish for would be better gas mileage results from the tiny engine. It is a sacrifice I'm willing to live with so I don't have a car with a CVT transmission. Comfortable seats, plenty of room front and back, a cool sporty look, and all at a price I could justify.

So far so good
I've only had the Trax since Christmas Eve day. So far, it's been a great little SUV. I gave it 4 out of 5 because I'm still learning the ins and outs. The exterior is very classy. The interior is quite roomy, and the quality is fantastic. Still learning all the tech of the vehicle.

Great little SUV for the money
I was hesitant about the small engine displacement but after driving it several months, I am impressed. All the features of a more expensive vehicle and great handling. A bit of road noise compared to my z71 but great radio sound covers that up. Great fuel economy even while driving a bit aggressive.

M235i Xdrive to Trax
Our new '25 RS Trax is a fun to drive SUV with good manners. Half the HP of the former 6 cyl turbo bimmer but tranny is geared well to the torque curve. Wife & I both love digital dash layout & orientation. Certainly more spacious than Bimmer.

Didnt see this coming!
Three people I know purchase a 2025 Trax and love it so I figured I'd give it a shot. Last two SUV purchased were Escapes, 2018 and 2020 the latter which I traded on the Trax. The dealer I had purchased seven new vehicles from since 2004 gave me a poor offer on my trade so I thought it may be time to move on. Thank you Ford, I love my Trax. Ours is a Crimson 2RS, beautiful vehicle and a joy to drive.

Trax 2.0 is Awesome
This Trax 2.0 version is a Must See & Drive!!! The exterior styling is sharp and less of a bubble shape than the 1.0 version...The Interior in my RS 2 is an eye catcher. The dark interior with the red stitching in the heated leather seats sets this interior apart! The ride is quiet and smoother than the previous version. Love the stereo and sound from the factory system. The handling and performance makes this car a blast to drive. This car gives a lot of bang for the buck!

The More I Drive it, The More I Like It
Started out with a list of small SUV's and the Chevy Trax wasn't on the list. Visited a Chevy dealer and saw the Trax, checked out the interior and price and added it to our list. As weeded the list down, it was one of two (the other a Honda HR-V) that we test drove. The Trax was more comfortable, had better acceleration, handled better, better ride, more features and less expensive. It took a bit of research to find the trim level and color we wanted. The more I drive it the more we like it. This is a secondary car, and it fits our requirements nicely and is cheaper than some 3-year old used SUV's.

New Trax, Better than Old Trax!
I never would consider buying a 2023 or older Chevy Trax! Not even for my wife to putt around town. But the redesign in 2024 is a totally different vehicle! It’s super stylish, great on gas and has an unbelievable list of hi-tech, desirable features. Leather interior, sunroof, heated steering wheel, heated seats, wireless charging and wireless Apple CarPlay. Auto hi-beams, lane keep assist, dynamic cruise control, 11” infotainment screen and a 3 cylinder turbo that is plenty zippy! I love my wife’s 2025 Trax RS so much, I bought my son one too!
