    Added 870 dollars to a lease buyout illegally and without knowledge to the customer. This is an illegal practice which management pulls and is aware of. Dealers must charge consumers the fixed purchase price that is listed in the consumer’s lease agreement. The purchase price may not be increased by the dealer. Charging additional fees can be deemed a violation of the Federal Leasing Law, the NY Motor Vehicle Retail Leasing Act and/or be considered a deceptive trade practice.

    I recently purchased a vehicle from Platinum Volkswagen. A friend of mine who works at a nearby dealership recommended I go there. The GM greeted us the first day we went and then I was introduced to one of his sales team. The sales person took the time to go over what I needed to do to trade my car in and follow protocol. I compared the price this dealership gave me against Kellys blue book, it wasn't too far off. The trade in was easy. It was also easy to pick out one of their certified vehicles because I had done my homework and new exactly which vehicle I wanted. I love to drive Volkswagens and they had advertised a vehicle with 15,000 miles for the right price. The vehicle was in excellent condition exterior and interior and I drove it home yesterday. No issues. I had an overall good experience here. The GM followed up this morning by sending me an email and thanking me for my purchase stating he would be available anytime I needed assistance or had any concerns. This was my first experience here at Platinum. I have not had any service yet but when I do, I hope that they will treat me fairly and keep my car on the road in the best way they know how and keep costs low. I will write a second review once I have had my first service experience. M. France Southampton, NY

    My wife and I had a great experience at Platinum VW. The Internet Manager and our sales rep, David Quintero, was very forthcoming, responsive, honest, and fun to work with. He offered a fair and competitive quote right off the bat. We went into the car buying process a bit weary of what to expect, but thanks to Platinum VW found the process pretty painless. I should also mention Robert in the finance department, who was very easygoing and reasonable, unlike the demeanor of many finance reps at other dealers from what I've heard. Everyone we worked with Platinum also respected our time; no waiting around for extended periods. I'd recommend anyone I know in the hunt for a car to reach out to Platinum VW first.

    I purchased a 2010 Volkswagen Golf TDI from Platinum Volkswagen in Jan 2010. I go to school in illinois. I was in NY for vacation. During the time I was looking for 2010 Golf TDI. I had done some research about this car, and I'd contacted to dealers both nearest my staying location in Illinois and NY. I made an offer to dealer to get discounted, but due to high demand of this car(I am not sure but it is true in Europe and Asia), none of dealer shop accepted my offer but only Platinum Volkswagen in Hicksville did. Still I am not sure I got a huge discount on this car, but at least thing I can tell you that they were the only one who offer discount at that time. I had almost got into the deal with another dealer shop for exactly same car w/o discount before I went to Platinum volkswagen in Hicksville. I believe that the way they make a profit is from incentive, I saw the volkswagen sales ranking list of the North America in their office wall. Even though they are not huge car dealer shop, They were in top 10 among all volkswagen dealer-shop in this nation.I bought it and drove back all the way to chicago but it worth.   • A Platinum Experience

    I wanted to take the VW plunge, and heard and read great things about the new Jetta TDI diesel series. Since I like to have room to carry people and things, I seriously considered the TDI SportWagen. But it's a hot car, hard to find, and some dealers are charging a premium above MSRP. After going to about a half-dozen different VW dealers in the greater New York City area and getting pitched here, there, and everywhere, I couldn't find the right blend of price, color and options, including the superb panoramic sunroof. And of course I wanted the car in 2009 so I could get the new car sales and alternate fuel tax breaks from the IRS. Couldn't find it until I got to Platinum Volkswagen. Their sales staff found it for me without fuss or hassle. Financing was easy. The whole experience was that of a professional automobile dealer, which can be rare these days. The dealership is spotless, and the white-glove clean service shop [located down the road from sales] is a block away from a major commuter rail station - plus they offer a shuttle service if you live or work within a decent distance. Platinum VW rose from the ashes of Sovereign VW. They're well-represented on the internet and in various VW message boards so it's easy to compare them with other stores in the area. Good marks from VW enthusiasts. Platinum has the right sales attitude to match the well-engineered and styled cars they're selling.

    I recently bought a '09 Routan from the dealership (the first one I went to when looking to buy). Everyone was very upfront and professional (no "bait-n-switch" routine). I've dealt with other VW dealers on LI in the past, and this one definitely is the one to go to when looking for the best pricing / financing available. No "hard sell" from the salesman. I went in there with pricing info. from edmunds.com (which I always do) and we went onto the website from his desk and saw the pricing for another style, which I bought for below dealer's cost. Thanks Al! The manager also arranged for the best financing possible from VW Credit. All around nice, professional bunch of guys, eager to build a great reputation for their dealership.

    My daughter and I just picked up a brand new jetta from Krista at Platinum Volkswagen. She made the process seamless and easy. Dave in the finance office was extremely friendly and the delivery with Jim was just perfect. I will definitely be back to lease another car from Krista, and will recommend all my friends to her at Platinum.

    The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the differences between the two vehicles I was considering (jetta and passat, and TDI vs. gasoline). They were patient with my many questions and many visits to the showroom. They continued to follow up even after the sale was made, should any additional questions or concerns arise. When I picked up the vehicle, it was clean and I was given a thorough review of the car's features. I forgot the name of the woman who went over the car with me, and I didn't think I saw it on the list given above, but she should be credited too. I would 100% recommend Platinum Volkswagen to everyone!

    Dealing with AJ was a very positive experience. He was patient and willing to work with me on the price. The only thing that keeps me from giving the dealership an overall 5 score is that we could not get the color of the vehicle we really wanted.

    Bought my Tiguan from Platinum from Joe R. and it was such a pleasure for a VW enthusiast like myself to come across such a knowledgeable salesperson like Joe. The whole sales and delivery process went incredibly smooth and I can't wait to go back soon for a new R! Might have to trade in the wifes' Jetta when the New Beetle convertible comes out! Again as an enthusiast, it's such a relief to see a dealer that doesn't mind my car's little modifications and even does some themselves in the service department!     Went to purchase a jetta I saw online and was surprised when the sales person told me that the car was not a certified pre owned until I pay for the car so I ask why the add, said pre owned. Was told it was a small family business so it is done differently

    I have been either buying or leasing cars for over 40 years and never looked forward to going thru the process because of bad experiences with previous dealers. That all changed last week with Platinum vw in Hicksville. Last year my wife purchased a 2010 convertible bug and I was so impressed with this dealership that I went back to them last week and purchased a 2010 jetta. When i picked up the car the salesman noticed a scratch on the door. He asked me to come back in a few days later and they gave me a loaner car while they fixed the scratch. Most dealers would not have even offered to repair the car. The owner Josh is a very friendly hands on person who makes you feel like you are the most important person who ever walked into the showroom, and the salesman Ed was helpful from the purchase right thru the financing. i highly recommend them to everyone.

    We were in the market for a VW convertible and looked through the ads for both the best price and a dealer close to our home. We narrowed the search down to three dealers and made stops during our usual Saturday errands. The first two dealers (seen in no particular order) we went to were pretty much the same. Big dealers. Sales staff was somewhere between no idea and disinterested. We just had the feeling that the people we were talking to either didnt know about the car they were selling or they didnt care about listening to us. We hadnt decided for sure on the car, we wanted to know about it first. Was this the right car? What were the safety features? The options? Etc.. We left the first two dealerships wondering if we should try another brand. Then we happened upon Platinum VW. Our sales person greeted us with a smile and started off by telling us about Volkswagen as if it were more of a mission than a car. We sat in a VW Beetle Convertible and asked as many questions as we could. We got every answer we needed to make us feel really good about this car. Then we sat with the same sales person in his office to talk about what it would cost. Now, I have been to this show before. You talk about a deal. The sales person vanishes and says I have to talk to my manager, etc etc.. Well imagine our surprise when the owner of the dealership came into the room and introduced himself well before the sales person could vanish to find his manager. The owner looked at the papers now sitting on the desk and offered the sales person some suggestions to help. He then gave me his card and said if we needed anything to give him a call. This is the owner. Wow. The sales person then went line by line and explained what every one of the costs were. Nothing mysterious, nothing hidden. We were shocked and thrilled. Then when we took delivery- same result. The bottom line was the same bottom line in the cost. No added last minute mystery fees. As we sat in the car and were taught the features the conversation stared with "I am here for as long as you need me. I want to make sure you are totally comfortable before you leave here". While we were learning every button and gauge in the car, the owner came out again to thank us for our business and showed us a couple of his favorite features. We were given contact information for service. We left there with no questions unanswered (and we ask a lot of questions). We never have less than 3 cars in our home and average a new one about every other year. This dealership earned our business and our loyalty, or said another way they earned Volkswagen a loyal customer. The car is great, we could not be happier. Thank you!

    I just purchased a New 2014 Jetta TDI with 247 miles at Platinum Volkswagen and I must say I've never experience such an awesome service from any car dealer I've ever dealt with in my 25 years of buying vehicles. My sales representative (Adam) was very informative and honest (yes! I said "honest"). When I tell you I'm one to believe that every other word a car salesperson speaks is a lie, that is exactly how I felt about Adam. However, to my shame and God's glory there still exist car dealers with the fear of God in them who hold to the old, old, old ways of doing thing with honor and respect. The director of finance (Bill) provided use with every possible service when dealing with our poor credit (to put it mildly) that I really could not believe we received the low interest rates we received. Bill explained everything from how they valued my trade-in to how he reached out to several banks in order to find me the best deal possible. To top it all off the owner and His son (Joshua) took the time to speak to my wife, myself, and kids while my children played with Rosie the cutest 19 month 4 lbs poodle. Jessica the administrative assistant basically answered many of our questions while juggling with my daughter, she went as far as to treating them with Italian food and a special screening of "The Little Mermaid". There were other representatives helping us but for the life of me I can't remember their names right now. All this to say that Platinum Volkswagen is a "Class Act" if I must quote myself when I personally expressed my gratitude to them, I told them "You are the .1% of car dealers, because 99.9% of car dealers just want to scam their customers". I look forward to continuously interacting with them for the duration of my ownership and beyond. Thank you guys for such a memorable experience!

    the reception that I received when my girlfriend and I came back to the dealership was outstanding,We walked in with our golden retriever (Jason) and it was like visiting family and friends,Doreen was exceptional her personality and warmth was so evident all she wanted to do was help me find the car that was a perfect fit for our needs, Well I purchased a 2012 jetta sportwagon fully loaded and the only reason I test drove it was because Doreen said what do you have to loose,your here... the rest is history David and I finally put a deal together that worked for both of us and Doreen was so accomomodating it was a wonderful experience,I"m so glad I chose Platinum VW.I felt special and have even recommended my brother who leased a Passat.thank you Doreen, Sincerely Gary
