We got a GREAT deal on a '11 Civic Ex Sedan. We are THRILLED with it and our experience. On cloud… nine! We didn't feel pressured in any way while looking at cars and during the buying process. I never thought I would ever write a glowing review about a car dealership or a salesman, but they totally deserve it and I will be telling everyone who will listen! Thanks San Tan Honda! I added 5 year Honda Care 795. Total out the door 22100. At 0.9 pct a… good deal, but just dont go in thinking youre going to get a Fit Sport for 15,540 + tax and license.Used car smells like smoke after they told me they could remove it!
by Johndo on 04/18/2014updated 04/28/2025I was looking at used 2011 crv's and they had good reviews and good price so I went to look at it after talking to a guy on the phone about it. Didn't say anything about previous smoker owned. I get there to test drive and can smell the car… before I opened the door. Told the guy it was a deal breaker and wasn't interested. He assured me they could remove it. I test drove it and told the salesmen it was giving me a headache and was only interested if they could remove the smell entirely!! They said they would run it with some machine that would remove the smell. Long story short I bought the car believing them and took the car in later to have the smell removed and it didn't totally remove the smell, at best it's a little more mild!! Not very happy showing the car to family and friends and they say, gross what that smell!!! Embarrassing... FYI Smokers stink!Thank you for your valuable input. We understand your frustrations with the smell of your car and are deeply disappointed we didn't remove it entirely as promised. It's all about profit!

The sales and service staff were always top notch. Times have changed and they are all about profit. I tried to get… them to match the price from another dealer's price quote, they said they would match it as long as I paid an additional 497 for the dollar Desert protection package. My trade was a 2007 Toyota Rav 4 with 82000 miles in excellent condition. My wife was rear ended in the vehicle 5 years earlier and 1000 damage created at the time that was fixed with a lifetime warranty. They treated the car like it had a salvaged title and wanted to give me 2K less than other dealers were . Needless to say I paid 2369.18 less for our CRV at another dealer. Don't waste your time, all they care about is making a lot of money and not taking care of their customers.Great experience with no pressure!

Our terms were not met at first, but after Chris stepped in, he understood our needs and concerns and… made our terms concrete! After seeking out the terms, we looked around at other dealerships (Nissan, etc.) to see if this was the best for our son and found the customer service was no where's near the quality that we received at Honda!!! With making us feel comfortable and content during our 6 hours visit, our son drove out in style and complacency knowing he can afford the luxury that he is driving and the care that he will receive in maintaining his car for the next 3 years for the term of his lease. We will definitely refer to Bruce and Chris and are proud parents that we made the right decision to go see them...2013 Civic

Gregg was extremely helpful, gave me good information, no haggling, and let me come test drive cars 3 times with no pressure to buy. In process of doing… the paperwork to purchase our odyssey, the general manager came out and ask us how everything was going, and made sure we were being treated well. That doesn't happen very often, I'm sure. Oh, and did I mention we did all of this with a 5 month old baby? Everyone was so patient when I needed to take a break to stop him from crying or change a diaper. This was a great car buying experience!Terrible experience!
by linsueue on 07/23/2013updated 04/28/2025Worst car buying experience ever! We called Gary on a Saturday to talk to him about a used vehicle on the website. He said it was getting a scratch fixed in the shop and would be back early in the week. He said to come in on Sunday to find… out more about the vehicle. Gary was busy on Sunday so we were told to talk with Geoff about the truck. Prices still the same on their website for this vehicle-Geoff says other people want the vehicle too, but no one had placed any deposit on it yet. Geoff said, "To be fair there was an other potential buyer that Gary has, and they should let them have the first opportunity to see it and buy it." Vehicle wasn't expected to be back for 2 days(Tuesday). Monday afternoon, my husband gets a call that the vehicle is in-hurry down. What happened to the other couple that was promised first chance at this truck?? Husband leaves work immediately to finally see this used truck. Guess what?--the prices have now gone up on the vehicle-both the retail price and the internet price. Now there is no dealing on the price as there is too much interest in the vehicle. The truck has a slight power steering leak and needs new cv boots, but the good news is the scratch was fixed??? Husband test drove the truck, agreed to the raised price, and was willing to repair the leak and boots. Our credit was checked and approved and loan paperwork was started. Gary comes in and asks Geoff for the keys, because he promised somebody to let them see this vehicle. Geoff seemed uncomfortable about it, but gave Gary the keys anyway. Paperwork is still being filled out, Gary comes back and told my husband, "This is the worst part about my job." He proceeded to tell my husband the truck was just sold to another buyer for cash. Was this because Gary didn't want to split a commission with Geoff-standard operating procedure for lack of customer service-or rogue salesmen at their best? It was shocking to find any dealer who treats customers in this fashion! My husband spoke with the manager on duty, Shane, who was astounded that this could occur. He would investigate this further and would have someone call tomorrow. Charlie, an internet manager, called my husband the next day to say he was sorry this happened but that is not how they normally operate. When my husband asked to set up a meeting with the dealership owner to discuss this, Charlie said it wouldn't be necessary because he was handling the apology. We are still waiting for the owner of the dealership to call to explain how this could happen. Since it has been almost a month ago, we can't help but presume this is AutoNation's standard method of salesmanship. If you want to experience what we did-raised prices from what was posted on the internet, no negotiation on price, or no accountability for customer service, then run-don't walk-to get to AutoNation's SanTan Honda Superstore. You won't be disappointed!Great Customer Service and No-hassle experience

Geoff B handled everything and was very courteous and professional. I was a little… wary of car dealerships from past experience and was totally surprised with how painless the experience was at Auto Nation Chandler. Geoff was very patient and treated us with respect and honesty! We got an awesome deal and everyone I know was surprised at the price! I will add that we had two excited teenagers with us and he was able to also relate to them on their level which I appreciated! He took the time to go over all the details of the contract and then to help the teenagers become accustomed to the technology in the car. We have had the car for over two weeks and our kids love it, a great car for young drivers, safe and with all the features you would want in a new car! I will definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a car. Go ask for Geoff and you will not be disappointed!Good experience

Everything they have done has been done right - and the first time. They have gone out of their… way to accommodate my schedule and have always had the car done for the quoted amount and at the promised time. I wouldn't consider going anyplace else or driving anything but a Honda!Great Experience

by puddabear on 03/26/2012updated 04/28/2025Bill Morris and Tom Mitton were fabulous; They certainly went above and beyond to secure our business but more importantly, made my husband and I feel relevant and confident that we purchased our car through the right Dealership. Bill… was AWESOME .. he was so non-pressuring and laid back that we thought wed made a wrong turn somewhere and ended up at Dreamland Honda!! I initially told him that I wasnt ready to make a purchase until we received our tax return money back, which at the time, was 4-6 weeks out. He never blinked an eye nor tried the many covert tactics that one would expect a salesman to pull when hearing such an evasive statement like that. He simply listened to my wants and needs and never showed me anything short of what I specifically wanted (a sunroof- how simple is that??). I dropped into 4-6 dealerships since that initial time and not only was I shown cars that werent to my specific request, they didnt even have the one non-negotiable that I required, which was the sunroof! By the time we were prepared to purchase, my initial dealings with Bill made him a top-contender in the first round of negotiations- By the time it came down to making the final decision, Bills professionalism as well as the fact that we have several things in common (real estate and a mutual friend) made it a no-brainer. The cherry on top was Toms involvement and the fact that he had agreed to take money off when he really didnt need to (we would have still bought the car, as it was a great price and well under any other dealers offer). When you have a customer who says No you really dont have to, Ill buy it anyway .. and then comes back with a lower figure anyway, well, that makes it better than Christmas! I will definitely recommend your Dealership, not to mention Bill, Tom and Paul in Finance, to any and all of our friends . If we were stress-free plunking down money after a decade of being free of car payments, I can imagine anyone else can be too.Customer Service

The CR-V didn't have the towing capacity, so the sales team talked me through what could work for me. Chris Moore… was amazing and helped me find the exact vehicle I was looking for. Victor in the financing office made the entire process easy and explained everything completely. The guys at Santan made me feel comfortable and never pressured me stay or buy something I didn't want. One of my friends was with me and has said she will be back to Santan Honda when she's ready to purchase a vehicle. He said "we need to make a buck too" implying that he was not making enough on the deal when it was already revealed prior… to him what the dealership actually paid for the vehicle and how long it was on the dealer lot. I went to a Honda dealer in Scottsdale and purchased the same Honda and had a pleasant, efficient experience. Unfortunately, because I live so close to San Tan Honda, it was the easiest place to get the vehicle serviced. Most services were a hassle. The worst part of my experience though has to be in teh last year after I have already sold my Honda. I have received no less than 10 calls from the dealership asking if I would come by and trade my Honda or have service done on my Honda. Each time, I have told the 5+ salespersons, the 1 sales manager, and the 4+ service personnel that I have sold my Honda and to please put it in their system to not call me anymore. On 12/8/11 at approximately 3:35 p.m., I received another call from someone in service. They said I was due for a service. I asked them if they had a compuer system that was connected to all department. She said yes. I asked if there were any notes. She said yes, but she said that even though the dealership policy is for calls to get noted, not everyone followed the policy. She then looked at the case notes and indicated that none of the prior 10+ people had noted that I had called and to take me out of their system. My recommendation: avoid every department. The dealership needs a management consultant to review policies, procedures and personnel and perform a major overhaul. [violative content deleted]
