Pathetic
by scott_v1 on 12/08/2015December 3, 2015. I had an awful experience at ARROWHEAD HONDA IN PEORIA, AZ!!!! They created a false document with much higher prices than were authorized based on a "prearranged no hassle buying experience"through an auto buying… program they participate in. I can't say the name or get to specific because these [fill in the blank] had my post removed on a technicality even though they were caught red handed and an investigation is still underway according to my conversations with one of the directors of the auto buying program. I even have proof because I took photos of the "special price" they gave me and emailed them to the auto buying program who said they were shocked and terribly embarrassed about how their member was treated. Just so everyone knows in ARIZONA "YOU CAN GET WAY, WAY, BETTER DEALS FROM THE OTHER CAR PLACE ABOUT 10 MILES DOWN THE ROAD BACK TOWARDS PHOENIX". Well over a thousand dollars cheaper and I didn't even have to negotiate. They have these prices on their website. No gimmicks either. Plus they have their dealer destination fees and regional fees already included into their MSRP. That's about another $1000 that ARROWHEAD HONDA TRIED TO RIP ME OFF since they also have that factored into their MSRP and then charge the customer for it again. Understand that these people will deny this, they will try and explain it all away, they will pretend it was a misunderstanding, or an oversight, or any number of lies. There is nothing dishonest about what I am writing. I have nothing to gain. I'm taking tons of time out of my busy schedule to remind these people that what they did was unethical, dishonest, and distressing. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!! I will post this every day for a year if you keep trying to have it removed. Now I am going to go and post this review on a dozen other sites just for good measure.Manager: pls teach how to behave with a customer
by truebuyer1 on 07/26/2015When i asked to do a price match, instead of convincing me and without any effort, [non-permissible content removed] walked away on me saying iam wasting his time!!! When i said iam going to write a bad review he said "i will wait for it".… Is this what you teach your sales guys?? He dint even put 1% effort to convince me. He spoiled my weekend with his behaviour. 0 stars. The worst car dealer and sales agent
by azjj2231 on 05/30/2015Went there in July 2013 to purchase a car. I was in the process of bankruptcy and wanted to start fresh. Worked with Kevin E. explained to Kevin that my husband was currently not working and that when he was back to work we would come in… and purchase another car from him. Kevin then proceeded to sell me two cars. He stated that neither bank would know about each other since I am currently in bankruptcy. I knew that making 2 car payments would be difficult on just my salary. However I had a few bonuses coming in that I knew would help. Kevin explained to us that once I made 6 months of on time car payments I would have no problem at all refinancing both cars. The cars that I was looking at would be $435 per month (times 2), he stated once I was able to refi, this would be the amount that I would pay for both. So I thought cool, instead of 870 a month I would pay $435, I was still very concerned about the high payments and decided to think about it. My husband and I went home and discussed it. We knew that it would be difficult but for 6 months we could handle it. My husband had back surgery and was soon going to be able to get back to work. We decided to go and buy 2 cars based on the information provided by Kevin. While working out the paperwork with Kevin, I re-iterated that I would not be able to handle this high amounts of car payments for more than 6 months. He re-assured me again that I would have no issue getting the cars refi. He even suggested some credit unions that would have no problem working with us. I moved all of my banking to Navy Federal based on his recommendations. I even asked him what would happen when I went to refi, the banks will find out about each other. He said it would be no issue because at that point I would have made 6 on time car payments and would have no problem. The finance manager even said just make sure to refi the cars in 6 months so I would not pay so much fin charges and keep these high payments. After 6 months of struggling to pay the cars, I happily applied with Navy federal for at least one of the cars to refi. I was turned down, I applied at many other places and took the hit on my credit report for the inquiries. Turned down everywhere, I took the car back to Arrowhead Honda and Kevin, I figured they helped put me in the car they can help get me out. They turned me down as well. One of the cars that they put me in, is over 8k upside down in so no one will help me. I went to another dealer to see about trading in one of the cars and they could not help me either. They were shocked at the un-ethical practice of Kevin and Arrowhead. They agreed that I was set up for failure in both cars. They suggested that I speak with the GM, my husband had already attempted to speak with the sales manager and that got us nowhere. I called and spoke to the controller Barbara, who stated they are a reputable dealer and Kevin should not have done this. She stated she would have someone call me back. A man called me the week of Thanksgiving and it sounded promising that he might be able to help us, however it is now May and I have still not heard from them.Run don't walk!!
by McBeth on 03/29/2015I bought a used Mazda at this dealership over a year ago. Big mistake! Also purchased the maintenance agreement which requires me to return to this dealership for all maintenance issues. Even bigger mistake! One of the conditions of me… buying the car was to have the coils plugs wires and motor mounts changed. The salesman put this in writing to me. While he was getting that service done he gave me a loaner car. Forgot to shut off the theft timer on the loaner car in about 10 miles from the dealership I was stranded. This was at the end of the day and there was no one available to help. I had to take a cab home. They had my car for four days to make these repairs. He told me that I would receive an email every three months when it was time to change my oil. After four months I had not received any email so I started emailing him and asking for my oil change to be scheduled. No Response. I emailed the manager of the dealership three times asking to have my oil change scheduled. I never received a response at all from anyone. So I drove to the dealership and asked to have my oil changed. He told me they don't work on Mazdas there that I would have to go to the Mazda dealership next door and pay for an oil change. I advised that I had the maintenance agreement through them at arrowhead Honda and needed to have the oil changed there. He said he would look into it and get back to me. 30 minutes later he never reappeared. I left and paid for a oil change at the Mazda dealership. The next time I needed in oil change I went in and also needed a plastic piece that goes on my ignition. He told me they don't carry Mazda parts and that that I would have to go to the Mazda dealership. He told me he called the Mazda dealership they have the part in stock and it's eight dollars. So I drove next-door to the Mazda dealership. They did not have the part in stock and it costs over $100. Four months after buying the car I had to have the motor replaced. At the following oil change I advise the technician that the car was shaking and rumbling. He told me this was normal. Same thing at the subsequent oil change. Now yesterday car completely breaks down and I have to call a tow truck. Turns out it was bad coils that were never changed from the time that I bought the car - one of the conditions of buying the car. Service department tells me that this is my problem not theirs and they will not stand behind the written promises of their sales team. Every time I have walked in the door of this dealership I have been met with dishonesty and incompetence and every time I have left I have left miserable.Great experience!
by TPain on 07/31/2014Easy in, easy out, good care and attention to detail.'13 Used Odyssey EXL - Tony C., Sales - Great!
by AZWestinK on 07/28/2014We purchased a lightly used 2013 Honda Odyssey EXL this past weekend from Arrowhead Honda here in Arizona. Everything about our experience was smooth, professional, and efficient. We spoke with Brianne on the phone to set up an appointment… with our salesperson Tony C. Tony was fantastic! He is extremely knowledgeable about all types of vehicles what to look for, what to watch out for, even added some pointers on test driving. At NO point did we feel pressured to stay at their dealership to purchase right then and there which we found refreshing. One of the managers, Chris, came to speak with us about numbers, our trade-in, how they could help us make a decision again he was forthright, honest, made some very valid points about Honda over other brands. That was it! We all know what its like buying a car it can be frustrating, and at time bullying. We felt none of this during our visit. To do our due diligence, we went to another small dealership to evaluate the same vehicle with a few more amenities and a few more miles. Again, we had terrific service and no pressure! Arrowhead Honda got the upper hand due to the fewer miles, Honda Certified, and they were willing to add the roof rack that was a requirement for us as part of the deal. Once we signed off on the deal we dreaded the lengthy paperwork process and the hard sell for additional products typically found in the Finance department. We waited less than 45 minutes to meet with "Hex" in Finance, bought the extended warranty which is always a good idea, chatted about football and travel, and we were out of there in 20 minutes. For real. Whatever has happened in the past few years with regards to sales tactics and behaviors to give the consumer a voice and be treated with respect has been great. Overall I visited 4 dealerships over 2 weekends, evaluated 9 vehicles, and did 8 test drives. Arrowhead Honda won our business because after all it's a Honda, but more than that, our experience was nothing short of professional, efficient, and courteous from start to finish. If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle, please call Tony C. in Sales at Arrowhead Honda, we highly recommend him and this dealership!Do Not Buy from Arrowhead Honda
by becareful1 on 04/06/2010I went to buy a used Honda from this dealership and ended up buying a car from them. After 4 hours of haggling I thought I was getting what I wanted. What I got was the run around, fast talking, double talking and a very rude sales… manager. When I asked for them to explain why the number didn't match our deal and why they charged for products I didn't want there was a lot of finger pointing. The finance manager blamed the salesman and the sales manager blamed me. All in all they were rude, demeaning, and typical. Becareful when they start going back and forth with managers and the fast talkers. They are very unethical.Best buying experience in 40 years
by cruiser13 on 06/20/2009The staff was very friendly, with no game playing. They gave a reasonable offer up front, and I left to think it over. no pressure to stay. I called back, and after a few minutes discussing the deal, they made one i could not refuse.… Offered me $3000 more for my trade-in than anyone else, and came down several hundreds on the price of my new Fit. No pressure anywhere along the way. Just straight dealing.Well... I tried to buy an Odyssey from them
by lday1021 on 11/26/2007I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted, how much, the trade in value on my car, and great credit. Starting talking dollars and didn't get anywhere with them. They did not come off the price of that vehicle very much. The salesguy said… that they look at 5 different trade in values for vehicles and average them together. I took the 5 places he mentioned and ran my own average with the correct condition of the car and it came out to 5400.00. They were only willing to give us 2000.00. We tried to talk them into taking more and they wouldn't hear of it. So, off we went to Earnhardt who came off the price of the same vehicle by a lot more and took 6000.00 for a trade in on my car. WOW! I would not recommend Arrowhead Honda. I know Honda's are great vehicles, but we got reminded of that EVERYTIME we tried to talk them down. Very snooty in my opinion. I would not recommendGreat experience
by billy80 on 03/29/2013updated 04/26/2025I recently bought an Accord using Edmunds to get an internet sales offer. I hate buying new cars. But using Edmunds got us down to a reasonable price quote without haggling. Our salesman Dennis P was straightforward and honest. There was a… glitch at the final sales paperwork stage but the dealership corrected it at their expense without argument. I will go there for my next car.Hidden Sales agenda
by Sparky_97 on 06/19/2013updated 04/26/2025Dealer forced me to buy a $1,600 security system (Hidden Cost) per each of the two vehicles I bought. These vehicles did not have the rockledge security system in them when we test drove and the cars and agreed on a price, but they still… charged me for them before they installed them and told me they already had them installed. Also, they stated that I would get a discount on my insurance for having these security systems installed. NOT TRUE! state farm has no idea what these security systems are. I'm sure they made a lot of money for installing these. Salesman also agreed on a selling price for both cars, but since I was trading in one car for two, they had to "Manipulate the paperwork" So I could get financed, that may be somewhat true, but in the process they also manipulated me by charging me whatever they wanted and I would never know because I had paperwork for two cars! they also gave me $2,000 less for my trade in by telling me that I would be getting the same amount of money since I'm not paying taxes on my trade in....Well if I got the proper value for my trade in then wouldn't I be paying even less?! Dealership also told me my license plates and registration would be forwarded to my new address in Utah. This is also NOT TRUE! Arizona does not forward those documents! I had to pay for my Utah Registration AGAIN. I can't get the dealership to call me back with my Lien holders information so I can make a payment. So now my payments are late, and I am driving on an expired temporary registration. Tired, exhausted and desperate for two cars for me and my wife before we moved back to Utah, I caved and signed the paperwork so that we could get our cars which both have 4WD for the Utah snow. If I had more time and wasn't so eager to get my cars and move, I would have left the dealership immediately.Awful!
by abettes on 05/31/2011updated 04/26/2025I tried to get pricing on a Civic. The salesperson met me in the parking lot and asked what he could do for me. I said I heard the 2012 was in and I wanted to test drive it, I wanted to talk pricing, and I had heard that they had a Graduate… program. He asked me if I ever bought a car and I had said no. He said then unless I have a cosigner, he can't sell me a car. He determined all of this without even running my credit report. Now I have gone to the service department at Arrowhead before and they have always been very nice, but after this experience I will never go back to this dealer if they were the last dealer on the planet. I even called the manager to complain and she never returned my phone call. I have never been so disgusted with customer service. I then when to Earnhardt Honda and they were able to help me. I would never recommend this dealer to anyone!Love our Honda
by waynec4 on 06/14/2012updated 04/26/2025Our salesman, Doug, was wonderful. He was very knowledgable about all things Honda. We had previously (about 2 years ago) had a very poor experience with this dealership and had no intentions to purchase anything from you--in fact, we only… came in to look at the 2 two Honda's we were considering because you were near our home. We had intended to purchase the vehicle at a different Honda dealership. However, dealing with Doug changed our minds. He is a real asset to your organization! We recently had our new Element in to install some optional accessories and found your Service Department to be efficient and friendly, as well as prompt. We love the Element. Honda should keep making this nimble little SUV!Dog hair, muffins, and Tom foolery
by Aaron66 on 05/11/2013updated 04/26/2025I recently financed a Ford from this dealership and our experience was very disappointing. They claimed to have "significant" discounts for people purchasing through the Costco Auto program, a program we found out about while shopping… there. The Car was already marked up, so the $500 "discount" really only brought it into fair market value. Our salesman Carey knew nothing about the car and said " I only know Honda's". I did my own research about the car prior to seeing the car so I felt fine having none of my questions answered. It was also a "certified pre-owned vehicle. During the test drive my wife and I noticed dog hair all over the car. He claimed it had just been detailed. Which made me think they hadn't even inspected the vehicle. later, while discussing my trade in they offered me 2500 dollars for my Tahoe with a 4700 dollar trade in value according to KBB, autotrader, and our credit union. They seemed to be more concerned about getting me to agree on an outrageous monthly payment amount instead of doing actual math and having a transparent answer to the payment amount they were quoting us. According to their math, the payment was 70 dollars higher a month than my credit unions quote for the same amount. The staff told us their numbers were from the credit union and they would try to beat the rates. After an exhausting afternoon, 2 muffins, and a cup of coffee, we agreed on the purchase. Only because the amount of the car was still reasonable and options fit my family's needs. Carey said they would "pull it around back and get her cleaned up and pull the stickers" while the last beating took place in the finance office. We just wanted to get out there by that time so we signed, signed, signed and walked outside only to find our "new, cleaned up, certified pre-owned car" STILL covered in dog hair. At first glance the numbers in our contract were still in the ball park but on the way home we noticed that our trade in was just factored back in to the loan by changing the percentage and terms and not adjusting our payment to the amount we were financing. In other words the amount was lower but I agreed to a higher amount because they claimed it was according to the interest rate we were approved for- not true. As we loaded up into our new car I asked him what part of the car did they clean because it was still dirty. We got in and left. I work for a very large organization and I told my immediate coworkers about my experience and have formally spread the word about how Arrowhead Honda treats our members. I hope that someone can learn from our mistake and have an honest, straight forward experience when purchasing a vehicle for their family. You won't get it here.Best Car Buying Experience Ever!
by dlane3545 on 09/21/2012updated 04/26/2025We bought a car from Arrowhead Honda about a year and a half ago and the experience was outstanding, so when we decided to buy another car this is the first place we went. Everything from start to finish was again better than we ever… expected. We are customers for life. Dealing with them is not your typical car dealership experience, they work to please the customer, they're not pushy or try to force you into anything your not looking for. Thanks Scott and Tracey for putting me in our new CRV, I love it! Todd & DawnBEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!
by kasn on 02/01/2011updated 04/26/2025This was the best and easiest experience ever buying a car! Tony Toaca was great! He was very responsive and direct with my email communication to him and stood true to everything he told me regarding the numbers of the new car and trade… in. This was a no nonsense deal and I really appreciate that when buying a car! We were in and out quickly and treated very well by everyone. I will be sending everyone I know to buy at Arrowhead Honda. We live in the far east valley and the drive was definitely worth it!Bad Customer Service
by newcarbuyer19 on 12/23/2010updated 04/26/2025This dealership has very bad in customer service. They are not willing to bargain and they get upset if you even try it! I got a quote online and they did not honor it. When I went in they added other stuff to the price and they were not… willing to work something out. They acted as if they were doing me a favor by selling this car to me. Even when the manager came out he was not friendly and pretty much said either you take it or not.. so needless to say I walked out! I visited Earnhardt Honda and they were awesome! they were friendly and honored the quote given to me.exceptional experience
by rericks on 05/17/2012updated 04/26/2025As always, our buying experience was exceptional. Arrowhead Honda is an outstanding car dealership. Mike McDanel and Robert Sajdak were exceedingly professional, friendly, and helpful. At no time did we feel pressured. Rather, we felt they… were working with us to make certain we were comfortable and on our side. Once again, Arrowhead Honda proved to be a dealership that far surpasses other dealerships in excellence. Thank you.Arrowhead Honda
