  • Go somewhere else

1 out of 5 starsby John Doe on 12/06/2024

I would not go back to this dealer. I was looking at leasing at Tacoma. Had one in mind and reached out through email. Dealership called me. Over the phone I was told they had a deal running at $299/month. We discussed that after taxes and fees would be $360 a month. I asked for details in writing, and he told me that they were old school and did not do that (First sign I should not have done business with them). They called me when I was on my way to the dealership to tell me the truck had been sold. I said do you have any more with that color/rim combo. I was told they could make it happen. I got to the dealer, and they do not have the color/rim combo in stock. I tell them I am leaving, and they pass to another salesman. They then tried to upsell me, and I said I was looking at $360 payment. This Salesman said I do not know who told you that but that is not possible. I was at this dealership for 3 hours and finally exhausted into buying the upgraded model with higher payments. They kept saying you got a great deal. I had some buyer’s remorse and spoke to the customer service manager about what happened. I said please break down for me this great deal I got. He said he would investigate it and give me details. He gave me zero details and said you got a fair deal. Seemed like every time I asked for details, I got the run around. Not to mention this customer service manager then passed me back to the original salesperson to try to try and help me. This is the same salesman that lied through their teeth. Long story short, do not buy from this dealer. They fit the stereotype of dealers that will lie, cheat and steal to get the sale. Go somewhere else and do not ignore the red flags like I did.
    • Wsox20, we are sorry you are unhappy with the lease on your 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 4X4. The customer service manager explained to you in detail the figures of your lease. Those figures included the Cap Cost of your Lease (Price) and the amount you received for your trade in. You leased the vehicle at invoice including all dealer adds, and you received a generous value for your trade. Right Toyota has not lied, cheated, or stolen from you in any way. We are open to having additional dialogue with you regarding your lease. Please contact us if you would like to sit down and discuss the situation with us in more detail. ***UPDATE*** We reached out to you and offered the option of returning the vehicle . Your message states that you will decline our offer and that we should not contact you again. We will oblige your request. • Toyota Right or Toyota Wrong?

1 out of 5 starsby Bree Eavenson on 12/03/2024

We bought a used car (a 2023) that was listed as a Toyota certified used vehicle. Before buying we specifically asked if it had been serviced and had an oil change and was told yes and confirmed it was a certified used by the salesman, Jacob. We asked at the time we bought for the service records and was told those would be emailed to us. We called and emailed after we bought it requesting service records and received no reply. Found out after taking it to another Toyota dealership that the car that is 13 months old never had an oil change or any service according to Toyota records. We also have no records of it being a certified used vehicle. The information provided to us before buying and what we found out after buying weren’t the same. I emailed our salesman and called the customer service manager, Jason and got no return email or call. I guess once they have the sale they don’t care anymore. I’ll update my review if Right Toyota returns my call and provides the certified used and admits they didn’t service the car. See texts below showing proof that they said it had an oil change and also a photo of the description of the car listed on their website as certified used.
    • Bree, the vehicle is certified and in the Toyota system as such. We would be happy to service your Corolla, including an oil change, at your convenience. Please contact Mr. Murdoch and he can make the appointment for you.

  • pretty rude and unprofessional finance guy

1 out of 5 starsby finance guy on 10/15/2024

y I bought a car from this dealer almost 2 weeks ago The finance guy was pretty rude, unprofessional and condescending to me, when I complained to supposedly the head of the sales department he surprisingly backed the finance guy, I couldn't believe it. On top of all this they put a wrong tag and I had to drive 3 hours to go back for it to be fixed and no remorse !!!
    • We apologize you had an unpleasant experience with our staff. We try to provide great service and courteous interactions with all customers. Please reach out to us if you need additional assistance.

  • 3 Hours to replace a battery and its still not done.

    updated 10/02/2024

3 Hours to replace a battery and its still not done. Took me 4 phone calls to check on the status before I got the answer that they haven't even touched the truck yet. Waited on the lot for over an hour before finally leaving. This place is an absolute joke. The worst. -5 stars if that were possible.

5 out of 5 starsby Steve on 09/23/2024

Car buying usually sucks, but mash and the gang at Right Toyota did a great job in making it the best experience possible for us. We never felt pressured and were comfortable throughout the process. In the end we felt we got a good deal too. Go see Mash!
    • Mash is awesome! Thank you very much for the kind review, we appreciate your business!!

  • Rename your dealer to WRONG TOYOTA.

1 out of 5 starsby Mike on 09/24/2024

Buyer Beware: Run. As far as you can and as fast as you can. We've spent $150,000 at this dealership. The result, a lemon car we had to return. And the worst service on earth. Recently, we had my wife's Toyota in for a 50k checkup. 3 hours later, we call to check on it, they never even checked the car in. 1. They didn't do the 50k inspection. 2. They messed up our aftermarket skid plate. 3. THEY NEVER PUT THE PLUG BACK IN THE OIL PAN. 4. They told us our control arms were broken and needed to be replaced. Car was taken a to real shop, where they diagnosed: no inspection was created, half the oil had already spilled out of the engine, the skid plate was fine, both control arms were fine and NOTHING from the 50k service had been done. As two prominent members of a band that is about to embark on a National Tour, we'll ensure that the world is screaming Wrong Toyota's name from the high heavens.
    • We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience related to this issue. 1. You are correct that we did not complete the 50k inspection due on your vehicle, definitely our error. 2. Your skid plate was bent and damaged and we reinstalled it the best manner possible. 3. We did reinstall the drain plug in your oil pan, but the washer on the plug failed causing the oil to leak. Again, our error and we apologize. 4. We recommended the control arms need attention and took pictures. As a measure of "Good Will" we agreed to refund you $1000 to compensate for any expenses incurred. You accepted our offer and then left this review soon after.

  • Jackson and Logan were so helpful in selling us a newer used vehicle

5 out of 5 starsby Kate on 08/17/2024

We called about a particular vehicle. Jackson had it out front for us when we arrived. Logan also helped us test drive it and answer all our questions. Both very friendly, responsive, and no pressure. Even Farhan, the finance manager, was friendly and helpful. Best and easiest car buying experience in a long time.
    • Thank you for the positive feedback, we appreciate your business.

1 out of 5 starsby Yazmin on 06/18/2024

I would never go back there!! The “finance Manager” Zack added warranties to our contract that we weren’t aware of, wasting our down payment in full. We didn’t notice until we got home and we were reviewing the paperwork from an usb he gave us. As of now we were able to get a couple of the canceled (supposedly) but we haven’t seen them reflected in our account yet. Very disappointed no one can do anything about it. Yes it takes 30 days to be reflected on my account, but it also takes 30 days after the purchase date to cancel the warranties!! How convenient! If you to the BBB website https://www.bbb.org/us/az/scottsdale/profile/new-car-dealers/right-toyota-1126-31002123/complaints you can see how these people work.
    • We cancelled your product and you will be receiving the refund shortly

  • Slippery Maintenance

1 out of 5 starsby Taco One on 06/11/2024

I purchased my truck from Right Toyota and my dad purchased all his vehicles there. I take the truck there for routine maintenance and it is always an adventure. Quality is marginal and they forget to do things like, install the oil filter properly which results in the oil leaking all over the driveway and almost destroying the engine. Today I got the oil changed again and mentioned my issues with past maintenance. The service advisor's response, we haven't had any issues "today". That is apparently the metric they use, nobody died today so we must be doing ok. I then watched the tech use a 3' breaker bar to remove the plastic oil filter! Don't recall that ever being needed for anything related to an oil change. There are lots of good service providers in the area. I'd recommend using one of them. Today was my last visit to Right Toyota.
    • SM, we are sorry you are unhappy with the service you received from our dealership. We wish you the best and we apologize for our shortcomings.

  • Poor experience

2 out of 5 starsby Don Beechey on 02/16/2024

The salesman A.J. was courteous and respectful whereas in my opinion the GM on duty was insulting and disrespectful. I nearly walked out on buying this vehicle because of him. The financing process was contentious over the value of my trade and all the extra fees they were adding to the price of the car.
    • Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're truly sorry to hear about the mixed feelings you encountered during your visit. Providing exceptional service is paramount to us, and it's disheartening to learn that your interaction with our team fell short of your expectations.

  • Cash buyers beware

1 out of 5 starsby VL on 01/06/2024

Paid cash and they required personal info. They said they wouldn't run a credit check but just got my credit report and sure enough, they did a hard inquiry. They totally lied. Don't give them info and don't trust them. I regret giving them my business.
    • VL, we request personal information on all files. We have experienced many instances of identity theft when customer's use a financial instrument such as a a check of draft in lieu of actual cash. There is a difference between an actual cash transaction where a customer brings in currency and when a customer uses a check. Also, in order for us to run a credit inquiry customers must sign a credit application giving us permission to access the credit file. Matt W. - CR Mgr. - Right Toyota

  • I am in danger of defaulting on my lender contract and do not have my tags

    3 out of 5 starsby Jeremydketterer1979 on 12/29/2023

This dealer is the dumps. I have had nothing but issues with them. To start, the day I bought the car, the salesperson raised his voice at me when I started to talk price. It was loud, so raising the volume of the voice was ok, but the aggressive tone that came out what not called for. Then I get put in a room with the person doing the finance paperwork, and he constantly cuts me off assuming he knew what I was going to ask, but he did not. The information he was spitting at me, when I was not even halfway through my question, was needless and inaccurate information. I had to point out what he was doing after about 20 minutes of not being able to communicate my question and the fact that USAA was giving me better loan terms than what he was presenting to me. He told me I was wrong even after I had shown him the proof. IU had to do that twice because he did not read what I was showing him, and he is telling me I was wrong. He finally looked and absorbed the information that I was telling and showing him. To his credit, he then went to another lender the dealer works with and was able to match the finance deal and add a little to it so that what he offered was better than what I was showing him. He was still cutting me off every sentence when I was trying to talk to him. Fast forward, the paperwork was done, and they lost the only key to the car. It took 30 minutes to find it. They also lost a head rest to the car. They did replace it for free for me with a factory head rest, but that took a few days to get in and I must get it. This was all at the very beginning of September 2023. I still don’t have a license plate. I paid for tags, not sure why it is still not in. I did call 3 weeks after I bought the car after the temp tags expired. I called in and they transferred me to the finance guy. Last name is Jenny. The same guy that wouldn’t let me finish my sentences. To his credit, he called back very quickly, left me a message telling me who to call and their number since they never actually ordered my tags, or whatever it is that they were to do the day after my paperwork was done. He emailed her for me since she was off the weekend. He told me her name, Maria, and gave me her number. I called and left a message. Aft/er a few days, I called and spoke with her, and she sent me in email a new temp tag. As of today, 12/28, 202, I still have not received my tags. To make matters worse, I received a letter on 11/23/2023 from the lender of my car loan saying they still had not received the title or lien certificate and that I needed to engage the dealer to get it. So, I called in and spoke with the finance guy, last name Jenny, and he let me finish what I was calling about without cutting me off. He said that Right Toyota has a good relationship with the lender and not to worry about it, but this is also what Maria, the same person about the tags, deals with. So I called and left her a message about that part not being done 2 months after I bought the car. I have not yet received a call back or an email. This was all done at the end of November. It is 12/28 and I received another letter from the lender stating the same thing. This letter says if I don’t get Right Toyota to send in the title or lien certificate I am in default of my contract. I am 44 years old and bought many cars. Never once have I experienced any level of incompetence to this extreme level. I strongly encourage everyone to be very wary of this dealership and consider all of this before going to them for anything. They are making me in danger of being in default of my contract with the lender, and, I still do not have my tags and I have called to get all this done. I still have no resolution almost 4 full months after date of purchase.
    • eremy, we apologize for the inconvenience and frustration regarding this matter. We do our best to process title and registration paperwork for our customers in a timely manner, so we are sorry we were unable to complete the title work for your vehicle quickly. We received the title from the previous owner on 12/20 and have sent your title and registration paperwork to AZMVD on the same day. We had difficulty obtaining the title from the previous owner's lender and the title was from a different state (Florida). You can expect your registration to be complete the first week of January. The title will be sent to your lender within the same timeframe. Please contact me if you have any additional questions or concern. Matt Winter (CR Manager) mwinter@righttoyota.com

  • Good service, opportunistic and predatory sales

    2 out of 5 starsby Fiasco2021 on 12/21/2023

Likes - Service has been very good, prompt and professional. Comfortable waiting area. Have had lease and warranty service since leasing then buying the leased 2021 Toyota Venza. I purchased the vehicle through corporate Toyota rather than going to Right Toyota. I love the Venza and have had excellent experience with many Toyota products. Working with Toyota corporate to buy the car was very easy. Dislikes - My wife and I had gone to one of Right Toyota's sales gimmicks where we turned in a card to see what we won. Of course, we won a nominal gift, but this gave the sales staff opportunity to see if they could persuade us to purchase/lease a new car. We had a 2016 Rav4, purchased from Right Toyota in 2016, that was an excellent vehicle, but my wife did not really like the sporty ride. So after explaining what we were interested in, (i.e. hybrid, softer ride, options, including rear cross traffic alert (rcta),...etc.) they showed me a new Venza. It seemed a good deal so we leased the car drove off the lot. However, we immediately noticed on that very day that cars and people would go behind the Venza but it did not alert the driver. I told them that this is simply unacceptable. We even demonstrated this failure to one salesman who would not even acknowledge what he had just witnessed. He kept claiming that the rcta was working as intended. I was then brought to another salesman who called me a liar when I related the story to him. When I maintained that the operation of the rcta was unacceptable, they said that to achieve what I wanted I need parking assist which did not exist on the car I just leased. Well, too bad for us. We asked if we could have our Rav4 back. Our Rav4 was placed on the lot for sale for $18K (they gave me $14K in trade-in). At this point I have not even put in 100 miles in the car, but of course, they were not interested in really giving me a reasonable deal. I even contacted other Toyota dealerships to see if there was some way to trade the newly leased car for one that we really wanted. I was in a very adversarial relationship with sales. Finally I contacted the Right Toyota General Manager who, I think, instructed the sales team to "work this out". Well after continuing to skin me alive they did come up with a car with parking assist that when paired with Toyota rcta really does warn the driver if people are walking in back and front of the car, and really does alert of all immediate traffic behind the vehicle. They found another 2021 Venza that met all our initial requirements, meaning that the parking assist was on the car. I payed through the nose for this vehicle and endured insults and complete indifference to my stated needs. Nevertheless, I got a great car! Bottom Line: We bought the 2016 Rav4 and had no issues. The 2021 Venza was painful and horribly expensive (as far as I can tell we basically gave Right Toyota our 2016 Rav4). I felt as I had be skinned alive. Most likely a person that goes to Right Toyota knowing exactly what they need and what options are required to fill those needs will have no problem. I, however, simply do not trust the sales team at Right Toyota.

  • After Service was really bad

3 out of 5 starsby Wayne Lundquist on 12/15/2023

The purchasing experience was fine, but the after service wasn't very favorable. We purchased the used vehicle, but it needed to stay at the dealership to complete some service repairs. We were told that the vehicle would be completed the following day. Contacted the Dealership the next day, first big issue they never contacted me to give me a status and was told the vehicle needed to stay at the Dealership for a few days since the part wasn't available. After requesting an update, the next day, I found that car would available the next Day so now three days since the car was purchased. I was told on the day of pickup that the car would be ready at 1. Now when I heard ready that means, I take a quick look and drive off the lot. Well, that didn't happen. When I got there the vehicle hadn't been cleaned, and the front window had a crack which we had identified on the day we purchased it and there was very little gas in the tank. So now I have to wait for the vehicle to get cleaned and I'm thinking that the window won't get repaired today and I would need to drive 40 miles to come back and get it fixed. The vehicle comes back cleaned but not as clean as I would expect, they told me that they had sealed the crack and the crack got larger they would replace the glass. At that time, I again told them that I had two issues, one the glass was already spider webbing and second who's going to remember if the glass gets worse 6 month from now. He's takes it back to the service department and then tells me about twenty minutes later that they will schedule a service call to replace the glass at my house. So, I take one last look and again ask him if they top off cars that had been purchase which he again said yes, so for the third time the vehicle goes back to the service department. Total time spend at the dealership over three hours when I was told the vehicle was ready to pick. Getting the front window replaced has been an ordeal also. No contact with the service department until today the 15th. Multiple requests for an update to the sales rep.
    • Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your recent experience with our dealership. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you encountered during the post-purchase service of your used vehicle. Your feedback is crucial in helping us improve our processes, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. We regret any miscommunication regarding the completion time of the service repairs and the lack of updates on the availability of the part. We understand the importance of clear communication and ensuring that our customers are well-informed throughout the service process. Rest assured, we will address this with our team to prevent such lapses in the future.

    • So, I've found additional issue with this vehicle. I've had a lot of problems with the tires which were replaced by Right Toyota, when we purchased the vehicle, the tires were bald, I find that even when going around turn or just moving forward that these tires have little to no traction. The tires spin and squeal. I took the vehicle to Avondale Toyota to look at the tires because I thought that the tires weren't new. The tech just told me that these tires were new but bad. I would have thought that Right would have used Toyota recommended tires not just the cheapest tires they could find. The tires they place on my vehicle are Adventa P235/55/102H and Toyota Recommend tires are the ALENZA Sport A/S. If I have bad traction when It's not raining, I would be very concerned going somewere that rains and snows.

  • Nice price, but watch for hidden fees

4 out of 5 starsby John B Doe on 11/29/2023

Great selection of trucks. Saw one we liked and price was very good, until they tallied the “out the door” cost. Finance guy told us we should have known that extra fees were involved. Hmm, maybe, but it seemed they were being a little bit quiet or sneaky about all of the fees and were trying to hide the actual price until we sat down to sign. In the end, the final sales price was no better than a couple other dealers we visited.
    • Mr. Doe, we apologize you had issues working out the final price for your vehicle. Thank you for your review and comments, we appreciate your business.
