Work With Neil Perlmutter
by jkimnyc on 01/25/2015I was very fortunate to have worked with Neil Perlmutter of Bob Smith BMW. Its clear that the entire culture of Bob Smith BMW does not operate the way that Neil does, for the store manager kept yelling at him when he was parlaying my… offers to him. It created a very tense environment in what should have been a celebratory event. If it werent for Neil I believe that I would have walked out of the store and left Bob Smith without a car and been quite happy to never look back. But Neil was adamant and worked as my advocate to place me in a beautiful sapphire blue 3 series and it feels like butter on the road. I really want to stress that car dealerships are mostly operated by vapid individuals and there certainly are a few at Bob Smith Mini along with BMW, however I got very lucky with Ryan Amico at Bob Smith and Neil Perlmutter of BMW. Find those good eggs, still to those numbers, theyve got a lot full of cars, and even if the manager is screaming from down the hall say a little prayer for him. Hopefully he wont have his job for long because Im personally unsure how hes retained clients for so long.Honest Quality

by eric_pot on 01/02/2015Got a good online quote, inline with other local dealers but, Bob Smith was closest and the reviews here spoke well of the place. I had never even considered a BMW but Jason Rucker and the team over there made it impossible to say no.… They did it by never saying "No". Everything was based on how could they make it work for me and what could they do to make me happy. Every stage was yes, and on New Years eve no less. Simple, direct, no pressure. Getting a new car should be fun, and this reminded my why. In an out, from whim to deal in a day. Easy. Thanks guys.Great place, awesome people!

Having bought and sold many cars over the years I can appreciate a straightforward salesmen who avoids the back and forth bulls*** that you normally get buying a car. Jason Rucker,… provided me with excellent service, start to finish, down to walking me out to my car and teaching me all my fancy new buttons for my BMW. As for Bob Smith BMW, this is not [non-permissible content removed] where they are trying to gouge you at every turn. by rsk48 on 08/14/2014After visiting several dealerships, I found interesting pre-owned BMW listings from the Edmunds site and decided to visit Bob Smith BMW in Calabassas last Saturday en route to Malibu from Santa Ynez. While I had no intention to buy the same… day as the visit, they made it impossible to resist their outstanding selection of new look and feel "Factory Executive" cars, all with less than 10,000 miles on them. With salesman Ryan A.'s excellent, thorough and helpful presentation and a perfect 2014 535i at a compelling price, I went to the event in Malibu and called Ryan at 4:30 to make the deal. He prepped all, stayed past official dealership closing time and I drove back to Santa Ynez a happy new Bob Smith customer. Car buying doesn't get much easier or better.Great sales department

by edwardsf on 09/28/2010The salesman seemed to have to ask the manager questions every 2 minutes. He seemed surprised that I thought the fabric should be in good condition on a CPO BMW. When I finally arranged the deal, the salesman's previous offer to drive… the car to my location out of town was forgotten. When he did finally drive it up (on the manager's demand), it had mismatched, non BMW carpets. It then took them 2 months to send the carpets to me. The fabric was not repaired correctly. The finance guy was good and efficient. The sales manager seemed willing to deal, although it really took much too long.Bob Smith BMW
by seth6 on 12/11/2008I bought a 2005 BMW 545i from Bob Smith's CPO department. Sale process was smooth. I was in and out of the dealership in less than 45 minutes. I was lucky that BMW Financial Services has such strong incentives in place that I was able to… secure low financing. My only small complaints were that one key did not work and air-conditioning rattled on my way home. Both issues were under warranty and were immediately rectified, but in a perfect world, I would have liked to have driven away with no issues.The best dealership I've ever dealt with

I was having a very hard time deciding on a car and I came back and forth to their dealership multiple… times. Each time, Ryan was friendly, accommodating, and informative. I never felt pressured and I truly felt that he was interested in getting me into the right car, as opposed to just closing a sale. Ryan even helped me out with a sticky situation with another dealership. I would wholeheartedly recommend Bob Smith and Ryan for any of your BMW needs. A+++Amazing customer service

I reached out to them via the Internet and Brian M. was quick to get back to me. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. This was my first luxury car buying experience… and it was painless. Brian educated me on the models, showed me price points and made me feel at home. Paul asked me what it would take to earn my business and I told him I wasn't ready yet, however, Paul made it happen. He wanted my business on my terms. He spoke to BMW financial and got me approved. The girl in finance was super nice and explained everything in detail and was more than happy to answer questions, even though they were closed. I loved the customer service and the sales team. I would HIGHLY recommend Bob Smith for your next or first BMW purchase/lease.A good freindly experience -- go there

I went to the website and the web chat was very helpful and they were super responsive, so they impressed me early. Other places I visited didn't handle that… interface so well. Ryan B. who does internet sales and was assigned to me is a true gentlemen and very responsive, he and his colleagues were able to put a deal together very quickly. All the way through the financing manager and final paperwork it was very efficient and friendly. Its a very nice dealership with great facilities and my comfort and coffee needs always considered. They did a great job with my credit which is not that great with financing through Mercedes, which is better than dealing with e.g. Captial One. I felt they really pushed their financing people to make it work. At no point did I feel there were any sharp practices or anything really unreasonable or pressure, it was a comfortable friendly experience. Buying a car is a negotiation, its their job to get the best price and biggest downpayment as it is mine to avoid it, its not a restaurant where there job is just pleasing you. I think we got to a good compromise, I got a car under the super certified pre owned warranty and low miles I needed, they got a decent price and interest from me which is OK. (On trade ins lets face it you never get what you feel a car is worth, but selling it yourself can take a long time.) At the same time, we all need repeat business and referrals. So I feel there is a genuine concern for a long term customer there -- even though we all live under short term sales goals -- and I would definitely go back and recommend friends. I will update this after I see how my first service appointment is which I am sure will also be great. And I love the 328i I got, drives amazingly.EASY SALE

So I had little time to go back and forth on my next driving machine. I knew I wanted the M3 and they knew to respect my time. Tack (straight… shooter) took me for a test drive, showed me what the M3 could do--if you haven't driven one lately, it's an amazing car.What an AWESOME experience...!!!

The service was impecable and the desire of wanting to work with you was… phenomenal. Neil P. is such a diligent person, he led me through the process and made my purchase smooth. This is the second BMW I buy from him. Additionaly, Tiger, Eddie and Salman (which I got my first BMW from and is now the Sales Manager), were there for me and worked hard on getting me a deal. What a pleasant experience. Now I am happy with my X5 and will get to enjoy it with the family. I highly recommend working with them. Great group of people.Amazing salespeople

I have purchased at least 5 BMWs from various dealers over the last 10 years and at least 5 from other manufactures. This was simply the best sales expireience I have ever had. Tack not only knew… the cars and the features (in and out) but but he also knew the numbers.
