Brakes are still squeaking
by nothappyguy on 04/03/2016Turned the car in for maintenance and break squeaking. The breaks are still squeaking. Whatever they did is not working.Very Satisfied Customer
by Ciccoianni on 09/28/2015Purchased my new Honda Civic from Carson Honda on 9/27/15!!! Dealing with Carson Honda, especially with the Manager, Dean, and my salesman, Caesar, was such a pleasant experience. Both men worked extremely hard to get the deal I wanted and… I was very happy with the deal. Dean and Caesar went over and above all expectations to help me. I traded in my 2002 Accord for a 2015 Civic and am very thrilled with my new car. I highly recommend Carson Honda. Car buying can be an agonizing experience, but Dean and Caesar made it painless!!!Financial Discrimination
by benjamin13 on 08/30/2015I had a hard time typing carsonhonda.com but I knew I had to write this review for an unacceptable customer service. As a previous and current Honda owner of a 2013 accord EX-L, I seen semi-unacceptable service but this takes the cherry.… Sales manager (Tim Soeung) started this unsatisfying customer service with a denial on the lot of not being approve for a lease, finance purchase before any credit check or offer. The pre-judgement discriminated my family and I financially. It continued while waiting for a sales representative to run my sisters credit application but no credit application/personal information form was run after my sister filled one out. The disgusted expression of Gold sales representative (Luis Razo) expressed pre-judgement of what my sister can afford. We were on the bargaining table and the difference between our table was that other customers had a credit report check done, while sales representative Luis told my sister, just take your credit application because I rather not hurt your credit score. Then I question, why give us false affordable payment options on personal opinion by both Luis Razo and Tim Soeung.? We were told to leave after seen we didn't qualify under personal pre-judgement.The discrimination of not running a credit report let me to believe that sales representative, Luis Razo, was under orders of sales manager, Tim Soeung, to deny a credit application and any other offers presented at the time of visit. This personal judgment upon my sister, my girlfriend and I made us realize that we were unwanted and not welcome to do business at Carson Honda.Ben, thank you for bringing this to our attention. This is not consistent with the quality of customer service we pride ourselves on at Caron Honda. We can ensure you, that we do not judge our customers and we would like to talk to you directly regarding your experience at our dealership. Please contact Kris Kratky at 310-834-4773 x226 or Kris.Kratky@carsonhonda.net. We hope this does not keep you away from our store in the future and we would love the opportunity to earn back your trust.
BEST PLACE TO BUY A CAR
by kathyr_323 on 06/04/2011updated 06/10/2014Came into the dealer to look at an accord 2011. Luis Razo was the sales person he was not pushy at all.i told him i was a student and had a budget. he as well as Tim the sales manager helped me out buy giving a payment that was very… affordable..Thanx again Tim And LuisHORRIBLE SERVICE. Great Parts Department!
by sb2 on 02/17/2009Even purchasing the intermediate package ($250+), the inspection did not cover the basics for any tune-up. Do Honda Techs ever bother checking the spark plugs? Probably not, they resort to upselling you on other service needs. Quick to… upsell on cleaning out the IAC valve, but not quick to even check spark plugs offer a service package to do more tune-up. I will never get my car serviced at Carson Honda again. I'd rather go to the parts department and get better service. Auto Repair 1 stars or less. Parts Department 5 stars!Worst Sales Staff
by ohmygoodness on 01/05/2009They didn't want to negotiate from the sticker price on a used car. They insisted the original MSRP was a great price on a used car. They were dishonest and gave me two different stories on a used car (dealer demo / unqualified buyer… return). Their stock seemed limited and they didn't seem to want to bother looking for the car I wanted and having it transferred. Very unhelpful staff who didn't know their cars very well. Overall bad experience which led me to walk out and buy a car elsewhere.Typical Sales Push
by bw752004 on 09/21/2008I bought an 07 Accord for my wife last weekend. I was frustrated with 2 things. The car we came to see was 'sold', and they tried to push financing on me. They lod me the car was there and 2 hours later it was gone. I told them… specifically I would not finance with them and they tried to push a loan on me 3 more times. They even went so far as to ask me to fill out the credit app. and we said know, then they said well just fill out the top of the form so they could have our information on file. The assured me they would not run our credit. Minutes later they came back with an offer for a better APR. How could they offer me that without knowing our credit history? I did not pick up on that until about half an hour later the finance guy showed us a copy of my wife's credit score and again tried to get me to finance with them. I asked the finance guy if he ran our credit and he said yes. I told him we specifically told them we did not want them to run our credit. He said, "We have to run your credit and do a background check". I was frustrated and told the guy that did not make any sense. He told me it was in the past now. Huh? I don't typically trust car sales people but this was a really frustrating and it reminded me of how if you are going to buy a car be prepared for dishonesty, pushy sales tacticts, and generally shady behavior.Paint Peeling on Bumpers
by blackfity on 08/16/2007I brought my car in because the paint was peeling on the front and rear bumpers. The dealership sent my Fit to a local body shop to have the bumpers repainted. It took a total of 8 days because the body shop repainted my rear bumper twice.… The service manager (Matthew) and service adviser (Michael) were both very professional and a pleasure to work with. Since my issue was covered under warranty, the dealership paid for my rental for all 8 days. I highly recommend this dealer for your service needs.Took Too Long But Nice People
by philip17 on 07/23/2007I bought a Honda Fit at this dealership and then I helped my cousin buy an Element there. The Fit was bought at sticker price. The price on the element was better than where my cousin lives in NorCal so it was worth his trip down here to… get it. I had the same salesman Joe Davis, for both deals. He was a friendly guy and easy to deal with. Unfortunately, it took a long time to do all the paperwork. In my cousin's case, floor mats weren't available and it took several months to get them mailed to him. Still, it's a nice location with a good inventory so it's worth checking it out.Carson Honda Sales Review
by blackfity on 07/20/2007At the time that I purchased my car (Honda Fit - April 2007) most dealerships in my area (South Bay) were selling them above sticker, if they had any on their lots. Through a friend of mine, I found out that Carson Honda was willing to sell… the Fit at sticker so I made the call and made the deal over the phone. The sales person I was dealing with was a rookie so he clearly didn't know what was going on which is why I only rated him as "Satisfactory" below. The finance person (forgot his name but he's European and has a pony tail) however was amazing. I completed and signed the deal in about 15 min. One other thing that I liked about Carson Honda is that it's a fairly new dealership so it's clean and not dated.highly reccomend
by bri16 on 08/02/2011updated 04/27/2025without a doubt the easiest purchase i've ever made. sales person was octavio, answered all my questions! had every color in stock, drove off in my new accord in no time. im glad i didnt go to a used car dealer,Awesome Service, Thanks Carson Honda
by pura_vida on 08/04/2011updated 04/27/2025I would and I am recommending this dealership to all my friends and family, I went in with my daughter to look for a vehicle for her high school graduation present and we had a Very nice and PATIENT gentlemen Octavio Rodriguez assiting us.… Talk about patient, My daughter is not an easy person to satisfy but Mr. Rodriguez asked her a lot of questions and found out exactly what she was looking for. We didnt waste time and got her into something that she felt was "Super Cute" . I also Loved the safety features Mr. Rodriguez told us about and the great gas mileage she was going to get. Being a College student is a big deal and I want to make sure my daughter is protected. I want to give Recommendation to Our new friend Octavio Rodriguez. Trust me Ask For him, He'll take care of you and all your needs. Thank you and we will be doing business again.great experience
by eloera20 on 05/24/2011updated 04/27/2025I was shopping for a new car and the sales guy Octavio was very professional and courteous. I went in looking for a specific type of Civic and I left the lot with exactly what I wanted. Both him and the guy from the finance department (I… think his name was Javier) were very flexible in accommodating my financial needs.Found the dealer for me....
by jt_82 on 05/28/2011updated 04/27/2025I got an opportunity to visit many dealerships looking for the right vehicle to fit my needs and price range. From VW to Toyota and finally found my way over to Carson Honda. my previous experience in looking for a vehicle was not at all… great, you can even say dissatisfying. i was taken for a ride and promised results but left deflated and untrusting. Carson Honda was the complete opposite. i was greeted with a warm atmosphere and a friendly sales person by the name of Octavio. having had previous bad service from other dealers i was releaved to know that Octavio placed my concerns first. he reassured me that my needs where his and i would be treated as a guest more than just a customer. he gave me many options that would fit me best with the budget i had and with the type of driving i would be doing. my important searching criteria was his main focus so that i could find the best vehicle for me. i was blown away by Octavio's professionalism and also the professionalism from other sales associates i met there. i will definitely recommend my friends and family to Octavio at carson honda the next time they are looking for a new or used vehicle. Thank you so much.Car buying isn't so bad afterall
by pumpkint on 05/29/2011updated 04/27/2025Before we went to Carson Honda, we went on their website and looked at various models. We were impressed by the price listed, which is much lower compared to other Honda dealers in the area. Shortly after we sent our request, a sales guy… Caddy called, we made an appointment for the next day. At the dealership we were greeted by Caddy, who turned out to be courteous and very knowledgeable, he knew everything about the CR-V we were looking at, and was able to answer every question we had. Test-drive went great, and I would recommend anyone before buying a car to test drive it and get a full experience. The negotiation part went easier than I thought, in the past we had run into sales people that are pushy and don't really give a crap. Our sales guy was actually nice (finally they do exist!), he was funny too, and that made the tense discussions more smooth. Overall, car-buying really isn't so bad, if you get the right sales people.great place to find a car
by drvilla09 on 05/30/2011updated 04/27/2025Carson Honda is one of the best places around the south bay to find a good car at a great price. I was very impressed with the service provided by Octavio even though i told him up front i was just researching cars to purchase. He gave me… valuable information on Honda's and other models, which to me speaks to the professionalism of the dealership in general. He was very honest and upfront in comparing and contrasting the models i was looking at with the competing cars on the market. I highly recommend the dealership to anyone in the Carson area who's is looking for a courteous and professional staff to deal with when buying a car, Octavio in particular.Fantastic experience !!!
by 5kidsnorest on 05/16/2014updated 04/27/2025This had to have been the best experience I've ever had at a dealer! A special shout out to Octavio for answering all of our questions and going over everything with us. He even put all my radio stations in for me and helped with the car… seat!! My hubby will be back next year to get himself an Accord!!!Spot Delivery
by WahineSusie on 01/22/2014updated 04/27/2025I am only giving one star because I can not rate this company lower and the experience I had without one. I learned a convenient term today from the dealerships finance person at Carson Honda in Carson CA, "SPOT DELIVERY". This tactic is… used for sales on weekends; the customer gives a down payment, seemingly signing a legitimate contract to take possession of a "purchased vehicle". But, the joke is banks and finance company don't do these business transaction on weekends; also, this type of sale gives the car dealership(s) the option up to 10 days to find financing for your "purchase", an open ended contract if you will; to the advantage of the car dealership (read the fine print on the back of the contract; something the dealer will not show you willingly". You may need a magnifying glass). Your options at this point are: You can give the car back (dealer hoping you will either purchase another vehicle of lesser value, or you give a larger down payment or some other scam deal to re-negotiate your contract. DON'T DO IT. The dealer is counting on the fact that you become attached to the car, don't want to be humiliated having to tell friends and family that you have to return your new purchase and that they can get you on a higher down payment. Return the vehicle on your terms, do not return the car until the dealer has stated that your down payment check is at the dealership, this is call Quid pro quo - something for something; in this case their car for your money. This tactic is equivalent to a Bait and Switch - Get yourself a pre-approved loan and if you are asked to give more money pick up your pre-approved papers and shop somewhere else.WahineSusie, Thank you for bringing all of this to our attention. We're sorry to hear you had such a negative experience when purchasing a car through us. We always attempt to make customer service our top priority and would certainly never condone tactics like a "bait & switch," or anything along those lines. We would like to speak with you directly to see if we can get some more details from you on the incident. Please contact our GSM, Sean Salehzadeh at 800-717-6840 or Sean.Salehzadeh@carsonhonda.net when you get a moment and hopefully we can get to the bottom of all of this. We look forward to speaking with you.
