Great Followup
by James_CA68 on 01/19/2014updated 04/27/2025Been a long time Ford owner, and have no complaints,but wanted something more fuel efficient than my Edge (crossover). Not yet ready for a hybrid or electric, I looked at the Mini's because they are unique, and European. Had only a little… idea what I was looking for, test drove a manual hardtop and got a good idea of pricing and different models. I left and researched for a couple of days and went back and made a final decision on a coupe. I worked with two sales people since the first was helping other customers when I came back, but thought everyone in the store was nice. I was able to talk through my thought process with them, without being pressured and always offered different options. I decided on a base model coupe and love it! It's different dealing with another dealership after ten years at the same one that I'm still happy with. So far I'm pleased with the service and support I've gotten from this dealership, the followup after buying the car is very good.We are ecstatic of your strong recommendation of the staff and dealership! Jeff and Carol worked their connections and were able to get the logistics finalized for delivery to Santa Clara.… While my MINI was in transport Jeff provided progress updates. Jeff communicated to me that he will be on vacation during the arrival of my MINI. Robert was tagged in and he assisted me with the sale. Hats off to Jeff, Carol, and Robert! Can't do that through email.). Robert R. (awesome name) was… the e-com manager that helped me, he was extremely responsive and helpful through the process, and was able to get me a good deal quickly. I took a test drive at this dealer, and initiated my relationship with sales representative Larry. I used my membership with a couple of different car-buying services to get an… idea of how much a MINI Cooper S convertible should cost, and contacted all of the dealers in the SF Bay Area to see who would offer the best price. Larry and this dealer provided the best response and I placed my order. Larry kept me informed of the car's production status and we were both pleased when the car arrived 2 weeks ahead of the initial schedule. I took delivery last week, and have thoroughly enjoyed the car to date. I recommend Larry and this dealer without hesitation based upon my purchase experience.Illegal Contract Practices

The original vehicle I came to see was a Honda Civic advertised as being in excellent condition. When I arrived and got into the vehicle, I was struck with the distinct… odor of cat urine. Clearly, Mini of Stevens Creek has their own definition of excellent condition. An odor like that will be difficult if not impossible to get out. I passed on that purchase. I then saw a beautiful green VW New Beetle that I got in and test drove. It was in good condition by Kelly Blue Book standards, but was being retailed at more than the excellent standards of a private party sale. It needed new tires, the paint and rims were scratched and there were a few other minor flaws. An offer was made, it was accepted and there was a meeting of the minds. The negotiations were all done via text message. The agreement was $5,750 out the door, allowing $2,500 to go on a visa and a personal check for the remainder. When I arrived to complete the transaction, at the dealership, the agreement was recanted and they were not going to sell the car unless a credit line was opened with Mini financing. This was illegal - basic contract law requires them to honor the agreement and instead, I was told to leave and never come back upon refusing to sign up for their credit line. This Mini dealership swindles its customers and I will make sure to post this on every review website including the Better Business Bureau due to the unlawful nature of the transaction.WONDERFUL Experience for my Family and I

We were then greeted by Scott, who made us feel comfortable by hearing us out and answering to our questions. He then made us look at some of the cars as per requested.… He was accommodating and really cool to our both children. We then told him that we will think about it and exchanged our emails. That way he can let us know any new deals on pre-owned cars. We never felt like we were being pressured at all. He sent us couple of messages when he had something or when we had any questions. We checked out other car dealer showrooms, but my children, wife and I prefer to go back to Scott! Scott told us he had a car that would be good to us and we came back for that and for him. There Scott helped me out in the buying process. He was really accommodating and even drive me back after purchasing the car. In that way I did not had to come back again with my wife to pick up the car, he could explain us on our new car in the calm of our place ! Nowadays, through experiences, it commonly seen that car salesmen just don't do enough good job and their only objective is to get money out of your wallet. Owner himself of a MINI, Scott transfers his passion of MINI car to us, Scott is selling a product he knows well and loves and not just another car. This make a huge difference. Tyler (financial dept) helped me a lot in the buying process from the beginning till the end. Tyler has been very clear and transparent on all the financial aspect, proposing and recommending different options without any pressure to accommodate my requests and concerns. After purchasing the car - a MINI CooperS Hardtop, Scott would check on us if everything was going on well with the car and us, and he is still following on regular basis. We Highly recommend Scott and Tyler for your MINI purchase. A really pleasant experience for my family and I!Love My MINI & MINI of Stevens Creek

And they went out of the to find the car I wanted, even though the color was discontinued. I can't give them a 5… because they really would not budge on the price, at all. We went back to the dealer with only 1200 miles on the car. Very patient, attentive, honest and looks to do what's best for the consumer. We were glad we could… work with him. He made the entire process very easy. He made sure to call us after the our purchase to see if we had any questions, concerns, etc. The Manager was very friendly, she came by and said hello and let us know that they are there to help us out in any way.
