    I came to get a basic check up before I left to go out of town. I went in now knowing if anything was amuck or not I just wanted to make sure before I drove 500 mi. I took it in and thinking it was going to cost a arm & leg for it. I waited in the nice waiting room, and before I knew it my car was done and nothing needed to be done. They even cleaned it at no charge. Didn't even ask they took it upon there own goodwill. Thats what I call good customer service. I can't believe these bad reviews wrong place wrong time or wrong dealership. I like Mercedes Benz South Bay

    We did a lot of research and pricing for our daughters first car and Tina was amazing. We not only got the price we wanted but a bit less. Next car purchase will be with her again!

    We purchased a new Mercedes yesterday and were given only one key. My husband and I didn't realize it until we arrived home last eve. We immediately called the dealership and were referred to the salesperson. She was no longer at the facility, however, denied that we were not given both keys. She did, tell us she would be going to work at 12:30 p.m. and would look for the other key today. We just received a call from some guy calling himself David G. head of internet sales who was unabashedly rude to me, saying they could not find the key and need an extra day, what nonsense. We paid cash for this car and am now in a quandry as to how to proceed. It seems to me when you dispense keys each person should initial receipt of same, or perhaps that is entirely too simplistic. At this point in time I am toying with the idea of just cancelling the check and moving on.

    We worked with Shari H. as the Costco buying service rep. at the dealership. She was very responsive to our desires and needs in a car. I felt that the deal was very good and the lease terms were within the range that we wanted. Since we were comparison shopping between Manufacturers, we wanted to drive several different cars over a period of several weeks. We were able to get a couple of quotes for C250s that we were interested in from Shari before we left. After looking at Audis and BMWs that were comparable, we ended up coming back to Mercedes to buy the C250. I think the level professionalism that Shari exhibited and the documentation she provided to us built trust from the start. Unfortunately, the one car we settled on, over a two period on the lot, had been sold. After some discussion and looking at other dealership cars, they found a car that was on the docks in Long Beach that was destined for SB Mercedes that met our needs. We settled on the car, price, and completed all the paperwork to allow us to pick up the car with minimal issues when it arrived at the dealership. Most of this discussion happened with an alternate salesperson since Shari was out sick. This person said that the car would be at the dealership from the dock in 24-48 hours. Unfortunately, that delivery did not happen. We bought the car on Christmas eve and took delivery on New Year's eve. Even though this was not a deal breaker, it did not seem like there was a sense of urgency to get the car to us quickly since they had already made the sale. I ended up calling the dealership several times over a three day period to ensure them that I was getting impatient. The car is great and I do believe that if Shari had not gotten sick (she had no control over that) the entire experience would have deserved 5 stars. Lessons Learned: #1. Decide, up front, if you are willing to "pay and wait" for a car. #2. Get commitments from your salesperson and sales management as to the timeframe for delivery. #3. Do not hesitate to go up the chain in the dealership to get the attention you feel you deserve.

    We recently bought a 2011 E350 Mercedes from South Bay. We went to just look at a car and ended up buying. Shari H. was very helpful when we told her that we wanted a payment within a certain range. She found this car and I just feel in love with it. I love my Mercedes!     I'm giving this dealership,the Representative and the Dealer General Manager high marks. I was rather concerned that the dealer had been rated in the 3 star range and what that would mean to me. I was considering going to another dealer as a result. The new General Manager, Tim M., who has only been there for a short time is aware that there have been unhappy customers in the past and was brought in to make this a top performing dealer. It is Mercedes after all and top quality sales and service should be what customers expect....and then receive. Right? So far so good. Daniel S., our representative, is excellent and really worked to find the car we wanted. We eventually ordered it from Germany and he was on top of the schedule until we received the car. We took delivery 2 days ago. I trust that the new General Manager and his team will continue to up their performance one customer at a time. My turn was this week and was excellent. Hopefully you will have the same experience. So take the reviews that are positive and negative...read them carefully as there is good perspective. But I would highly recommend this dealer based on my recent experience with them. Hope this helps with your shopping. RKL.

    Anait H. was terrific. She understood that we did have a great deal of time. Anait did everything in her power to get us the best deal in the shortest amount of time possible. She was very accommodating and will to do whatever was necessary to complete the process in a very professional manner.

    100 stars if I could!!! Because the cars in my area were heavily over priced I decided to buy a car out of the state of Texas. After searching I found a great deal on a GLK 350 at Mercedes Benz of South Bay. First, understand that the GLK I was looking to buy in my area was the standard base model. The GLK I bought at South Bay Mercedes was equipped with over $14K in premium amenities and was $3,000 less than the base models in my area. I called and luckily I got Ms. Anait O. as my sales person. Now keep in mind that I bought one of the least expensive cars Mercedes Benz manufactures. I talked to Anita multiple times per day for four days. We went back and forth over the phone as she educated me as to the process an out of state buyer needs to take. Anait treated me like I was her only customer!! I flew into LAX and Anait picked me up at the airport on her day off. This next part seems unbelievable, but she became a tour guide by driving through parts of the area showing me the beach and other nice areas of Los Angeles. You'd think she just wanted to make the deal have me sign the papers and go home, but, Anita treated me as if I was buying a $200k automobile. I drove my car back to Texas and she called to make sure I made it home OK. My entire experience with the people (i.e., Finance manager Shawn – great personality!!) of Mercedes Benz of South Bay was a very personable and great experience. But in the effort of full disclosure – I did not notice until I was back in Texas that someone took my floor mats from the car. LOL! If you are looking for a first class car buying experience call and ask for Anait. She is a hard-working and energetic person who I will definitely buy a car from again in the near future. If I had bought a Pepsi from Anait she would have treated me the same and worked just as hard. I will definitely travel the 850 miles again to purchase a car from Mercedes Benz of South Bay.

    Worked with Internet salesperson, Shari H., initially. She sent me a quote for E350 luxury and premium packages that I agreed with and accepted. When I went into dealership, Shari was not there. I showed salesman the quote that was approved by David K., sales manager via e-mail. Salesman went to confirm deal with David. David came back and said, "Oh, this quote is for a sport model, not luxury," even though quote clearly stated the luxury package he approved. Not only did he not give me the car I was promised for price he approved, but I ended up paying $25 more monthly for a more basic model! I should have left. I really regret it. I am dissatisfied with my purchase and angry as well. I should have went to one of the other dealers who offered same or better deals.

    I truly believe that great employees ultimately make up the resume of a company. For South Bay Mercedes, Erik P. is THAT employee. Erik Pliner is a true representation of what a quality dealership should be. Erik is honest, straight-forward, committed to customer service and tenacious in making sure his customers have an excellent experience, not only during the buying process but the weeks that follows the transaction. I cannot state this enough. If you are in the market for a Mercedes, you need to go visit South Bay Mercedes Benz and see Erik P. You will not regret your decision. My wife and I were looking for a CPO ML350 for almost a month until we came across one that peaked our interests. We test drove half a dozen vehicles and spoke to dozens of salesmen. We experienced Downtown LA Mercedes Benz, Mercedes Benz of Calabasa, Mercedes Benz of Oxnard, Mercedes Benz of Thousand Oaks, CarMax Irvine and CarMax San Gabriel. For me, buying a used vehicle was risky business as you never know how the original owner treated the vehicle. There are too many unknowns so buying CPO was the way to go. At each of the previous dealership, there was something missing. Either the dealership seemed impersonal or the sales person was too over the top. Too slimy and too desperate. You couldn't tell if s/he was telling the truth or embellishing things and when it comes to a used vehicle, I want transparency! Erik was always responsive through email and was very helpful with his answers. I even requested additional pictures and Erik happily obliged. When we officially met Erik, there was a sense of honestly with him. He seemed to genuinely enjoy his job and was eager to service our needs. He even parked our vehicle right in the front so that we didn’t have to waste time searching for it. Sometimes I prefer to inspect the vehicle by myself before being bothered and this allowed me to do just that. When it came to the vehicle’s functionalities, Erik was well-versed. It was evident that Erik knew his Mercedes which is crucial for a person selling the brand. I liked the vehicle and everything checked out. Erik showed me the 151 point inspection report, Carfax report and took us out on a test drive. The car was a quality CPO, well maintained on the exterior and interior. Although there were a few imperfections, they were not deal breakers. You can’t expect a used car to be perfect but near perfect, yes. When we sat down to talk about the price, I told Erik what my budget was and he literally did everything in his power to meet me there. Throughout this process, Erik was very honest and straightforward. If he could do something, he did but if he couldn’t, he told you just that. You didn’t have the feeling that he was lying to maximize his commission. There was a strange air of honestly with him and I believe him. Since most used cars are priced to sell nowadays, there was very little room to budge on the price. Whatever Erik was able to budge on, he happily did and what he couldn’t budge on, he made up with excellent service and add-ons that made us leave very happy. Not only did we get the vehicle for a great price, Erik made sure the vehicles’ imperfections were taken care of to ensure that we were happy. He scheduled a maintenance appointment for us the following weekend and did a major detailing of the exterior and interior of the vehicle. All minor rock nicks around the car was touched up, interior leather was thoroughly cleaned and he even ordered us new floor mats. Now I must say that I am a pretty difficult customer and expect the best service so I did a detailed walk through around the vehicle and pointed out everything I wanted fixed. Not only did Erik take down notes but he included EVERYTHING in the purchase contract and made sure the service department followed through with every lined item. By the time we got the car back from the service department, it was literally a “new” used vehicle, if that makes any sense. The interior, exterior and functionality was a 10 out of 10. With the great price, great experience and now an excellent conditioned car, I really felt that we found OUR car. I can’t imagine other dealerships will go as far as Erik did to make sure his customers are happy. Most used cars will go as is but our used car was basically a new car, with some mileage.

    Went in to see on of the advertised specials. The sales guy wouldnt give me the Money rate factors or the residual. WHen the sales manager came he interrogated me as to why I wanted the #'s and when I asked him what the pmt would be by adjusting a few variables he turned the calaculator over to me and said here you go. I was shocked...its not my job to do it. I immediately left and bought at fletcher jones.

    Talk to Aaron R., he will take care of you. No hassle. Great price. Great service. Simple, fast and easy. Found the car online, made the deal over the phone in the late afternoon, picked the car up the next morning, an ML350. Aaron was very straight forward and didn't waste any of my time. Wasting my time and giving me the run around will kill the deal for me at any dealership. This was the best car buying experience I've had.
