Unprofessional and abusive treatment by the finance team at Valencia BMW
by pmorali on 03/17/2025Last step before driving my car (X3) was the Finance department to complete the paperwork. Robin greated me with a brain dead proposal to purchase $10K worth of services (on a $31K car purchase). I turned down all proposed services but… one that I was interested in, the Tires & Wheels protection as the car sports expensive 21" wheels. She quoted me $4.7K for the insurance protection, which I thought was super expensive. I asked if I could make a decision tomorrow, to be able to do research on it. She said, no, its now or never. I then asked if I could cancel the protection anytime and get full refund for any unused portion, and she said yes. So I purchased the Tires & Wheels insurance coverage. Two days later, after doing resarch on the coverage, I decided the premium was outrageoud relative to the level of coverage. I emailed Robin to cancel and get a full refund, and she started telling me that I had to wait 30 days to cancel..! I escalated to her manager, Gary, Director of Finance, who first explained they had a new software system which made processing difficult; upon my insistance Gary asked me to fill a cancellation form. I immediately did and asked for my refund. Gary explained to me that I had to wait 60 days for the refund. I again asked for escalation, and he explained that from that point on, they had no control or visibility on the cancellation process... This is what I call organized burglary. They had not "booked" the transaction when I asked for the cancellation (I bought the car and coverage on Sunday, and cancelled Tuesday), and could easily have refunded my credit card. Instead, they chose to continue pressuring me, seemingly to avoid my cancellation. I checked their online reviews after the fact (unfortunatelly), and Valencia BMW, indeed have that kind of reputation. I should have been more attentive. Other than that, the X3 is great! The attitute towards customers at BMW is simply not acceptable. Fortunately, there are many BMW dealers nearby.Thank you for your response. I tried the number who provided a few times, however, I get an automated response system, which eventually hangs up, since I do not have the name or extension of your General Manager. If he or she genuinely "...would like to speak to me to discuss ways to improve my experience with the dealership...", or if he or she cares to make the situation right, you know my name, you know the situation, and you have my phone number. Candidly however, this seems to me like an empty social media response intending to pretend that the dealership cares, when in fact it does not. The phone number provided leads to a hang-up.
We got a use car there and the sale men was very great but the finance pers personal Are a joke they tell a price and a down payment then when your ready to by they come out with a different amount like trying to rip you off don’t ever go there

Avoid this dealership
by Setrak on 03/12/2025If I could give zero stars, I would. We went to Valencia BMW to finance our lease-end vehicle, and it was hands down the worst dealership experience I’ve ever had. The finance manager, Robin Pilgreen, was unbelievably rude, uncooperative,… and had an attitude that made the entire process unbearable. Instead of being transparent and guiding us through the financing process, Robin’s only goal was to squeeze as much money out of us as possible. We were treated like nothing more than dollar signs, and any attempt to get clear, honest information was met with deflection and condescension. Rather than prioritizing customer service, she was focused on misleading us just to close a deal. A dealership should value its customers, especially those looking to continue their business with them. Unfortunately, this experience made it clear that Valencia BMW cares more about profit than integrity. If you're thinking about financing here, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Don’t do it
