We recently purchased a Subaru Outback and had an exceptional experience working with Tim Miller at Kirby Subaru in Ventura. From start to finish, Tim was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on helping us find the right car… for our needs. He took the time to answer all of our questions with impressive expertise and guided us through options that were truly in our best interest — no pressure, just thoughtful recommendations. It’s rare to feel this well taken care of in a car-buying experience. Highly recommend working with Tim and the team!

New 2024 Forester limited
by rack attack on 06/27/2024I Searched for a specific model of Subaru and found this dealership online. They advertised that this model would be arriving soon. I called and left message. The sale guy Bob (Indy) was good about calling me back and had found the car that… we wanted, but they wouldn't have it till the next day. Car was flat bedded from another dealership. It's what we wanted since we already own an Outback, we knew what to expect. We started the long process of the credit check, financing, added BS features that you shouldn't buy. (Catalytic etching $2000.00. Really??) I had this done for free by my local LAPD. (Clear coat protection, People still do this?) Then came the extended warranty which we later declined and bought ElseWare for a whole lot less. Be careful how this is presented to you. This dealer uses an iPad for the contract signing. I didn't find this to be in my comfort zone as it was way too much documentation. The documentation was emailed the following day to be reviewed. I would have preferred hard copies at the time of signing. It's been two months, and I finally received the credit for the declined extended warranty. Had to wait for this in order to get the final pay off amount for the Loan. After leaving the dealership I received one follow up phone call from the salesperson. I live 60 miles from this dealership, so I won't be using their service dept. Two other dealers closer to me will be my service provider. In The past We have purchased a car from CarMax, that's how buying a car should be, no BSHi, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience with us. I went in there without my husband as he was unable to be a part… of the process and I was treated like family. This was my second sales experience with them, and once again, they went above and beyond to ensure my complete… satisfaction. It's rare to find a dealership that offers you a $25 gas card just to show you the features of your new car. The entire team treats you like family and genuinely cares about your experience. Even when there was an issue with my previous purchase, they took the initiative to address it without any prompting from me. It's truly remarkable to find a company that prioritizes customer satisfaction and takes responsibility for their mistakes. I feel incredibly fortunate to have discovered Subaru of Ventura. Their sales team is exceptional, and it's evident that they were handpicked by their sales manager. They never pressure their customers and always consider every option, whether you're interested in buying a Subaru or from any other car dealership. What sets them apart is that they're confident enough in their product to recommend checking out other dealerships. And they're right - their product truly speaks for itself. Easy Swap 2020 Forester for 2024

Francisco was very easy to work with: checked his inventory, found color and model we liked, showed him the numbers that would make it work for our… purchase, he and his sales manager made those work, great trade-in on my 2020 plus discounted price off sticker, so I stopped by, all paperwork was ready to go, super smooth closing with all electronic docs, and drove home brand new 2024 with much lower payment.Hi Dave, we really appreciate your great feedback! I have bought 3 cars in my lifetime and the other times I purchased cars were always an ordeal! This was not. The… entire time went very well. I felt very informed about all of the vehicles I test drove, when I made my choice of the car I wanted to buy things went smoothly. Dale showed me around the entire dealership so that I knew where to go for service, parts etc. I met everyone, which was nice. Very friendly staff. He even checked up on me a couple days later in case I had any questions or concerns. I appreciate that kind of service. They don't just sell you a car and send you on your way. Non stressful, non pushy. The people at this Subaru dealership make you feel like family. They listen to your… needs and then deal with you open and honestly. Bob goes out of his way to help the customer and make the whole process smooth and professional. I also liked how he valued my loyalty. We were, hands down, sold on Kirby… Subaru of Ventura because of the vehicle, but also because of Ricky, the sales representative who helped us throughout the process. Ricky was very attentive, answered all of our questions, and did not dismiss us just because we were browsing or because we were not sure exactly which vehicle we were interested in. Ricky was patient with us, answered our questions, and treated us with dignity and respect regardless for our reason being there. This was the same sentiment for Valerie in the finance department at Kirby! Both of these amazing individuals made the experience worth our while. An extraordinary car-buying encounter.

The sales manager recruits, the sales team and sees potential in all of them, which is evident in their professionalism and the way they conduct… business. During my visit, my salesman, Lars Vankirk, went above and beyond by showing me the entire sales/ service center and making me aware of the process for when I need to return for my first oil change. It's rare to see such dedication and attention to detail in a car dealership. The sales manager even came out and personally interacted with the customers, which is unheard of in the industry. I am sincerely grateful for the incredible sales experience and everything that Subaru of Ventura has done for me. From the moment my family walked onto the lot, we felt welcome and everyone we interacted with was kind and respectful, even to the point of quickly drying of a damp bench… for my son to sit down. We specifically worked with Ricky in purchasing our new Ascent. He was super knowledgable about the car and never once did we feel pressure to make any decisions. Ricky worked with us to get a great deal in trading in our old car and made sure we got exactly what we wanted in our new Subaru. He kept in contact via text and calls as they prepared our car and even after we drove off, he has been quick to respond to any questions we have. Val in the finance department is so sweet and took the time to explain all options available for warranties and all other finance aspects. She never once pressured or tried to "upsell" us anything, plus she was super respectful in knowing our ties to the military. We also met JP who will help teach us more about the specific details of the tech and features of the car. The Best Experience

Being a single senior female, I feel I was taken advantage of and the negotiating for hours experience was terrible.… Well that car was totaled in an accident a month later. So...I found myself having to purchase my second car in two months time. I started shopping once again but this time I stopped into Kirby of Ventura and started my search. The moment I stepped into the dealorship I felt taken care of every step of the way. They were by far the most honest, caring experience I've had while purchasing a vehicle. Not only that but their inventory was great. I highly recommend this dealorship to anyone. I wanted to lease the Solterra (all EV) but because of the lackluster range, charging speed/time and… this being the first generation, I will skip this for now. Good news is in the the next couple of years Subaru will be introducing their hybrid vehicle or vehicles. Can't wait when Subaru do announce the hybrids. Thank you Rick! Mark was so kind from the start, always giving me time to interpret the information related to the vehicle my dad… liked. My dad ended up liking a Crosstrek and wanted it in a specific color. Mark and the Kirby team searched dealerships in Southern California to get my dad the exact color he wanted and the car was ready for pick up in less than 48 hours!
