  • Buying a new car after 12 years.

    5 out of 5 starsby heyman2 on 10/03/2014

Robert did a great job working with me & friend, when I came in looking for a new car. I did present a few obstacles..I drive with a left foot gas pedal, so I was unable to do a test drive. I had ridden in an Escape at another dealership..My friend handled the details. He was the one who found that Veterans Ford had many more options for me. Another plus was that they had the actual car on site...Robert & the sales manager went above & beyond, when it came time to get my car ready for me to drive. They arranged for my car to be taken for my left foot gas pedal to be installed & returned to the dealership...When I picked up my car, I was able to drive off the lot...Thanks to Robert & my friend we were able to do the deal extremely fast

This was my third time purchasing a car at Veterans! From the first time I walked in, I've always been well oriented and very welcomed. I simple love the clear , responsible way the entire car buying experience is at veterans!

  • Fantastic service at this dealership!

We originally rated our sales experience as poor, we purchased a used vehicle and there were some issues in the beginning of our buying process. But we are so impressed by the way we've been treated since, and we are still having mechanical issues with the vehicle purchased. However our salesman and the used car manager have stood by us and have also helped by giving us a truck to use while ours still in repair. Less than 24 hours after we took delivery, the engine light came on. We brought it in the next day, they diagnosed it, and have arranged the repair. Our confidence in this dealership and our relationship has certainly grown throughout this experience, we know they stand behind their vehicles and their customers! We would recommend this dealership to our friends and family.

  • Sales was very helpful

5 out of 5 starsby usmcdaddy on 07/31/2014

My buying experience was very nice and pleasant. However with in the first week of my new truck purchase I had two small problems with the vehicle, was then told they could not fix on a Saturday. I would have to bring in during the week and rent a vehicle from them so I could get to work. Not happy with that considering I just purchased I brand new truck a week ago.

My salesman Mike C was great. I left there feeling like I got a fair deal, and all of the folks there were courteous and helpful.
  • A Real Gem of a dealership

5 out of 5 starsby miicheller on 03/18/2010

We had been car shopping via internet and drive-bys for over 2 1/2 weeks with two young children. We had been from Tarpon Springs to Wesley Chapel looking for a dealership that treated us fairly, will give us a good deal on a car and give us excellent trade in value. It seemed like an impossible task. We had been to multiple dealerships that were horrible. Then we found Veteran's Ford in Tampa, FL. This is a car dealership unlike any other. From the front receptionist back to the service department- Everyone was nice. Even my kids didn't mind being there. Bill Smallwood (internet manager) was the first person I had emailed about what we were looking for. He was personable and took the time to find a car that fit us best. Then there was our incredible car salesman Gary Noonan. Gary Noonan was the most courteous and engaging salesman I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. He really seems to care about working together to get the best/fairest deal. Lorenzo Pena (used car manager) was a real joy to work with as well. Usually the managers are the high pressure of the business but Lorenzo Pena was very genuine about getting us the best deal they had to offer. Even finance department David Griffith was incredible! Veteran's Ford in Tampa was the only dealership that offered us the most trade in value. The dealership had great, low prices on their used cars. We got a phenomenal price on the car we purchased (16K on a 2008 Ford Edge SEL Veteran's Ford has a relaxing atmosphere-no sales cubicles. The sales area is open and inviting. At no point were we bombarded by sales staff. The dealership's location is off the beaten path but so is the special care they give their customers.
  • Salesman knows best? Maybe not.

I knew what I wanted in a truck when I contacted this dealer. The salesman argued that the model I wanted wouldn't do what I needed, and emailed a brochure to prove it. Actually, I contacted Ford and the told me where in the brochure it specified exactly what I was looking for. I didn't need a dealer where I had to answer my own questions. I found a good one in the area that does know his product, and I went with them. My whole experience with this dealer was argumentative at best.

I have bought two new vehicles from Veterans Ford in two years. I have also brought my nephew there to purchases his first new car. He bought a Mustang GT California Special. My purchases are a 2012 Shelby Mustang GT 500 and a 2014 Explorer Sport Edition. I am 62 years old and have been dragged thru every sleezy, underhanded, insulting to you intelligence, low life car salesman trick in the book. Not here folks! From management on down my wife and I were treated with respect and dignity. I have never been treated so professionally at any car dealership in my life. Matt, Carlos, Josh, Sean, and Bill are assets to this business. I actually returned 2 years later and they were all still there! How often does that happen in the car sales world? I own my own business that deals with the public exclusively. I only hope that my staff treats my customers as my wife and I were treated at Veterans Ford. What I personally found worthy of noting here is an attribute few sales associates practice; that being good listeners. Instead of rambling on endlessly trying to get your signature on anything before you hit the bricks. They really care about why you are there and what vehicle will satisfy your needs and budget. I can honestly say Veterans Ford is my dealership. Kudos to the staff there and don't change a thing. D.R.

Internet site showed a reasonably priced ford ranger. I called to confirm vehicle was available, and received a call from orlando to say the car was at the tampa location (apparently this dealer has another store in orlando and a centralized call center). when i got there (20 mile drive) I had to wait to talk to the "sales manager" who told me that the car was not there BUT if I waited 90 minutes he would have it brought from orlando. he then told a salesman to show me the "other rangers" - of course, the salesman had no knowledge of what was in stock, and in fact, there were no other rangers there at all. and one had to walk the lot - no golf carts here. i went back to the manager who seemed too busy to even talk to me, and evpressed my displeasure - he then pulled up the internet ad and said it clearly stated the truck was in orlando (although it appeared under his tampa listing and the call informed me that the truck was in tampa). however, he said if we agreed on a price he would bring it over. these guys are [non-permissible content removed] - don't even waste your time.i am only sorry i cannot give it NEGATIVE stars !
