  • 2015 Nissan Altima Purchase

    I purchased a previous vehicle from GPH - very nice people at this dealership which I why I went back on Saturday, 06/10/17 to purchase a preowned 2015 Nissan Altima S. I would have given GPH 5 stars but just feel I was given less for my trade-in than desired. I feel like I probably was a little to quick to settled for what was given me and should held out for a better deal but I didn't. Next time I will know better. My trade in (2008 Hyundai Sonata) I purchased from this dealership in 2011 and use this same car that I bought from GPH as a trade-in but was only given a certain amount ($1,000) because I was told it was in 2 accidents; granted I never had an accident in the car - these were previous accidents before I purchased the car myself from GPH in 2011 but yet when I use the vehicle as a trade-in I am told because of the 2 accidents the vehicle was in (that I had nothing to do with) was the reason I only received $1,000 for the vehicle. The funny thing is that when I purchased the 2008 Hyunda Sonata from GPH in 2011 I was given $1,000 for a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier (with about 203,000 miles) that I used as a trade-in the get the Sonata - I receive the same amount for 2008 Sonata that I traded in for the Altima - the same about for trade-in that I was given for the 1997 Cavailer that I traded in in 2011 ($1,000). So I used a 1997 Cavalier in 2011 - received $1,000 for a trade-in for the 2008 Sonata - came back with the Sonata that I purchased from GPH and still did not get but $1,000 for the Sonata - 1 2008 when the Cavalier I trade in in 2011 was a 1997 - go figure this! I did bring this to the Sales Manager attention but I was told it was because the Sonata had been in 2 previous accidents (accidents before I purchased the vehicle). Maybe this is way things are down but just don't seem fair to me as a customer. Anyway - this is the only reason I would not give 5 stars. Overall, I highly recommend the dealership - just don't be to quick to settle for whatever as I was. Anthony F. Williams GPH Customer!

  • Wasting Customer's Time

    This has been a frustrating experience. They were unable to deliver on promises made which required my 8 month pregnant wife (who works and takes care of our toddler) to make multiple trips to the dealership because they didn't do what they had stated. We bought a used car from the dealership (Honda Odyssey). The vehicle was overall in okay shape with some scratches outside. The problem was the inside had claw marks going through the door linings from the previous owner's dog. We negotiated to have them fixed by the dealer and agreed to buy the vehicle. We made an agreement for my wife to bring back the vehicle to have it detailed, some touch up paint, and to have the front driver and passenger doors repaired from the claw marks. We were told it would take around 20-30 minutes to detail and do the minor repairs. My pregnant wife and our year and half old went back on the specified day after leaving a message and not having anyone return her call. She waited around around 3 hrs before being told that they could not complete everything. Manager Curtis Simmons then said that he had misunderstood what kind of interior the vehicle had and that contrary to what was discussed in the sales negotiations, he could not patch it up and the interior door panels would have to be replaced. He said the shop could cover some of it but we would have to pay another $150. My wife said that was unacceptable and that I wouldn't agree to it either. At this point she said Simmons gave her a "there there little wifey" type look and told her again to talk it over with her husband and see what I wanted to do. She was told to come back on yet another day (3rd trip after buying the vehicle). Hearing that my wife somehow wasn't capable of making a decision was pretty frustrating to me. My wife is very smart and hard working. I think she was unfairly judged as being incapable of making a decision on her own without her husband there because she is pregnant and was taking care of another child while at the store. I called and left a message for Mr. Simmons explaining that the situation was ridiculous and they could either readjust the cost of the vehicle, or fix it, but I wasn't going to pay for repairs which were supposed to be done earlier. I also let him know that I didn't appreciate the dealership trying to yank my wife around like she didn't have anything better to do than it for hours in a car dealership trying to keep a toddler reasonably happy. Simmons responded that he talked to service and they would take care of it. My wife makes her 3rd trip to the dealership and drops off the van. She picks it up a couple days later (4th trip) and drives off only to look to the passenger side and see that they didn't repair the claw marks on the passenger side. Now we simply don't have time to go back again and deal with a dealership in too big of a hurry to take care of details or be concerned with providing customer service. Simmons is clearly too busy because he agreed to fix it, leading us to purchase the vehicle, before he looked inside at the interior and that he wasn't able to make sure the vehicle had been properly fixed before telling us it was ready to be picked up. The finance department was also very pushy about their in-home extended warranty. It is a bit sad because we purchased our vehicle on our second visit because Patrick, our salesperson, was so friendly with us and was not at all pushy. He seems like a genuinely nice person and I'd be happy to have him show me vehicles again, but I don't think I'd bother dealing with Gwinnett Place Honda again. There are lots of dealerships that can immediately take care of issues and respect their customer's time.

  • The Best

    This is the 2nd CRV I have purchased from Gwinnett Place Honda. This could have been a very stressful experience because my husband is in poor health. I went to look for a new car and met Aaron Hardy. He showed me cars and took me out for a test drive. He was very knowledgable about the CRV and the test drive was very easy. Then he really stepped up with the best customer service and supporrt I have ever experienced. He handled the challenges presented due to my husband's health with great patience. My buying experience was easy, his help with learning about my new car was thorough, and I love my new CRV. Aaron Hardy and everyone at Gwinnett Place Honda are exceptional.

    Joel and his manager Curtis and the finance guy Chris are totally awesome! I already love Hondas but I was in a car accident and they went over and beyond to get me into another car even though my credit score had dropped horribly. I ended up with a brand new car with an awesome interest rate and a happy husband. Can't ask for anything more. Oh yeah the car is great too! 2017 Honda Accord LX! Get you one!

    Ryan Leahy is top notch! I wanted to look at some Pilots when I can in that evening, but didn't think I would buy right then and there. Everything simply fell into place and I felt good about the deal we made. He didn't stop with the sale either but made sure he followed up in couple of items we couldn't take care of that night (title for trade, finding a remote for the RES and an owners manual). Thank you to Ryan and the entire Pre-Owned Sales Team!

    I just got my 2017 Accord from Gwinnett Place Honda. This was the second time I have purchased from this place. The sales specialist, Internet manager, accessories sales specialist, and finance Manager were all very nice and professional. They were not pushy or try to sell you things you didn't want.     Brought my older Civic in after my mechanic discovered a crack in my engine block. I was relieved to hear it was under an extended recall grace period, so I brought it in to Gwinnett Honda. Ronnie took care of me, and I had a new block and new airbags that were also under recall. They finished everything in just three days, and covered my rental. I was surprised with how fast they handled it. When the time comes for a new Honda, this will be where I go.

    I just purchased by 6th Odyssey and have always purchased from Gwinnett Place Honda. The sales staff has always been top notch and will go above and beyond. I have purchased all my cars from Gwinnett Place Honda (since 1997) and will continue to go back for all my car purchases. Even after the sale they follow up. I will continue to shop at Gwinnett Place and will refer anyone to go see them for their car needs.

    We had the best experience buying a very nice, late model, certified, pre-owned CR-V from Tony Samad at this dealership. Tony was really awesome - no pressure sales, knew what we wanted and respected what we could afford, got us the best deal he could, and even set us up with some perks. When we didn't find the perfect fit the first visit, he very politely followed up with us to let us know when he got something in that was perfect (and, it WAS perfect!). He has stayed in contact with us (excellent, old-school salesman that he is), and we intend to buy from him again. Highly recommend him! ~Robin Y.

  • Manipulative and rude

    I originally walked away from an offer when they said they wouldn't budge from the price and went back home. 10 minutes later when I'm home I get a call from the dealership offering me a deal on a different car for similar asking price, but I declined because I was only interested in the car I saw at the lot. After that they call again and said they were willing to go lower on the initial car I saw, I was still hesitant about the price and told them if they would give me 500 off more I would do it. They said we can work something out, but wants me to come back to the dealership to show that I'm serious about this offer. I was hesitant, but came back and they had the audacity to give me a price HIGHER than what was stated as their initial counteroffer over the phone. The only reason I even came back was the possibility of it being lower than what you offered me on the phone. Then the floor manager was very rude calling me cheap and trying to use my previous offers against me, even though when the dealership counteroffers on my offer they are effectively declining it and I am no longer liable for that offer. Overall very rude floor manager and deceptive as well since they made me come back for nothing.
