by veritas4 on 03/10/2015My customer service experience was atrocious. This is a dealership that doesnt care about it customers once they drive off the lot. After attempting to sell me a second key at full cost in violation of the pre-certification, Stone… Mountain Volkswagen assured me I would be sent a working key free of charge. A week later I received a non-programmed key that I was charged over $100 to program. I contacted VW of America and was told that I would be reimbursed. Weeks later, I have been assured by several Volkswagen representatives that a check has already been cut several times and given various explanations for why, weeks after I was initially contacted, I have not received any check. I would never do business with such an unprofessional, shortsighted organization again.My 2013 VW Beetle

I got my first VW CC from Gunther in Buford and it was a constant run around.… I loved my car but not the dealer and when it was time for a new CC, I am so glad I went to Stone Mountain. I looked at a used model, but it wasn't the color I wanted and ended up… purchasing a new 2014 model. I would definitely recommend Stone Mountain VW to anybody wanting to buy a VW! BTW Jean my salesman told me I may expect slightly lower mpg #'s until the motor is "broken in." Well, I have actually exceeded the Highway and City and have been averaging 46 mpg combined!!! Cant wait to see what I get after the "break in" is complete!Great Dealership!

I feel that I am treated with respect as a customer as well as someone with some degree of… intelligence. They don't play games there .. when my car is in for service, I am kept advised of both status and potential costs involved. When I purchase a VW from Dwight Harrison, I never feel as though I've been treated in any way but honestly and have gotten the best price available. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone check out Dwight Harrison VW first before going anywhere else. You won't be disappointed. by harlemstride on 10/05/2010Bottom line: Needed a difficult-to-find compact crossover in ATL (Volkswagen Tiguan SE with AWD) asap and Internet Manager Rick Kiker and DH dealership delivered. Used internet research (edmunds; truecar; Kelley; carguru) and emailed… several VW dealers; Rick had the best follow-up. Met Rick 30 minutes before closing to test drive. No rush. No heavy sales pressure tactics. Talked prices & he offered invoice first. Very little haggling. (Little room to negotiate on our part because we had no trade-in & wanted a 2011 car that wasn't on their lot). Rick & DHV traded with a NC dealership to get the car. Financed with dealership (4.1%)--they beat our credit union (5.4%). Great follow-up after car purchase. My husband asked Rick to show me car features (ex. Bluetooth, etc). Rick spent 45 minutes showing features & answering questions--and followed up with a phone car a week later. I found Rick to be straight-up guy, personable, not pushy, value-added & efficient. Recommend car buyers to do internet research first & deal with Internet Manager for less hassle.No Nonsense Car Purchase

I knew Dwight Harrison didn't have the car in the style and color I wanted, but… Rick offered to trade with another dealer to acquire what I wanted. I had already done my research and knew what I wanted to pay, and Rick didn't try any sales trickery or haggle with me over price. Rick delivered the car to my work, showed me the car and I signed all the paperwork in under 30 minutes. It was a great experience, and Rick was a pleasure to deal with.Great Experience

Rick checked in with me throughout the week after I did a test drive but never put on the high pressure… tactics that a lot of dealerships do. Rick was nice and professional throughout the entire experience.Good People Here

I called several dealers and either was ignored or got a standard line of BS and a "come on down". I called Rick Kiker who listened to what I was looking… for, and actually discussed my needs with me. We discussed several cars that were posted on their website. He was honest, down to earth, and appeared willing to do what it took to get my business. Based on that phone call, I gambled and loaded up my family for the 50 mile drive to their dealership. I was glad I did. When I was there Rick warmly greeted me, was kind to my family, and went through the various pro's and con's of several cars and how they applied to what I was looking for. We settled on a Certified Pre-Owned VW. I told Rick what I needed to get the deal done, and he made it happen. No insulting haggling, no sitting in offices waiting for approvals, no typical car dealership tactics of any kind. The end result was an excellent deal. The finance manager was also very straight forward, no games, and very friendly. The car itself has been perfect. It was a 3-year old used car, but it was indistinguishable from a new model, with low mileage. The carfax report showed it had been meticulously maintained. So far it's been nothing but a pleasure to own and drive. I couldn't say enough good things about the car, the deal, and most of all about my experience with this dealer. It's exactly what I wanted, but didn't expect from a dealer. It was a pleasure to buy a car from Rick.Rude and incompetent describes the strong points.
by fowvay on 10/12/2009I had sought a new vehicle at Dwight Harrison because I'd purchased my first new VW from them several years ago. I initiated the discussion with the internet salesman Rick Kiker. It was a total waste of my time. He didn't do a thing to get… the vehicle I was seeking. He ultimately told me that I was not a prospective customer and stopped speaking to me. What a way to treat a person who's standing there with their checkbook in hand to make the purchase on the spot. As I was leaving the dealership I stopped to complain about his lack of competence. After the fact, I now know that everyone at this dealership fits the same mold. It obviously is promoted from the top downward. I ended up buying a TDI Jetta from them but I have learned a very hard lesson. The purchase was not very pleasureable and I don't have enough faith in the competence of this dealership to ever use them for the carefree maintenance that was already paid for in the purchase price of the car. This dealership was the last of the metro area dealerships that I would ever patronize. I now feel that Volkswagen is the absolute worst company for customer satisfaction/service on the automotive market today. I blame this on the dealer network. Dwight Harrison VW has proven to be rude and incompetent with their knowledge of their products and their ability to operate in a honest and high integrity manner. I won't darken their doorstep ever again and when asked I advise others to stay far away. In fact, I recommend others to stay away from the VW marque completely.Don't Buy From Here!
by nicolec on 05/22/2008They sold me a certified pre-owned car with numerous problems. I drove 150 miles back and forth to get things fixed, as they didn't have the parts in, so I went back several times. They were always off regarding their service time… estimates, whatever they tell you DOUBLE it, at least! Each time I expressed my concern regarding my CPO car having so many problems out of the gate, as it was supposed to have undergone a very detailed inspection. They never had a response and never apologized for my troubles or time they wasted. I even spoke with Mr. Dwight Harrison and his son IN PERSON. They could not explain why my CPO car had so many problems when I purchased it, they just tried to make my concerns sound worthless. I found out later that it was THEIR dealership's responsibility to ensure that my car was up to date with everything before it was sold, which they clearly did not do. When my husband called and spoke with the son, HE HUNG UP ON MY HUSBAND! Talk about horrible customer service. I will never set foot on their lot ever again, even if someone pays me to. The only positive was our salesman, Kenny. He was a straight shooter, too bad they sold me a bum car and refused to stand behind it. I cannot believe the arrogance of the owner and his son. I don't know how they stay in business with attitudes like that!Excellent Service

I decided to give VW Stone Mountain a try and they fixed everything on the first visit. The servie… manager (Rudy) is a really nice guy and very easy to work with. I highly recommend using them if you need service done on your VW.Excellent!
