Excellent Car Buying Experience
by petetheeos on 04/23/2014updated 04/26/2025A friend had taken her Audi A5 for service at Fletcher Jones. Jon was her rep and he took amazing care of her. She was thrilled and mentioned I should consider looking at Fletcher Jones again. In the past I have bought a 2002 A4, 2004 TT,… 2008 VW Eos from Fletcher Jones but wasn't that impressed with the sales team those years after. They were a bit unapproachable...which shouldn't it be they approach me? I tested the waters bringing my mother's A8 in for servicing. I must say...complete ease in scheduling the appointment and outstanding communication & follow up. Based on my experience with the service department...I ventured onto the show room on Saturday. Originally, my I was intent on buying a CPO Allroad. I spoke with Bill W (sales) and he reviewed the upcoming inventory of CPO Allroads. He did not know of pricing yet but said they would be coming in the following week. Then I saw a 2014 Lava Grey Q5 on the floor. We talked a little bit about the options, inventory and then numbers. Took the weekend to work through some things and on Monday Bill & I emailed back and forth a little. They were able to come up on my trade in (2012 Mini Cooper Countryman ALL4) and down a little on the Q4. I took delivery last evening. Bill went through EVERYTHING on the car. Syncing my phone and garage door openers. Programming the presets for the radio/sat. Programming so the mirrors turn in every time I turn the car off. Very thorough. I was planning on paying for a portion and had arranged financing through a bank (2.24%) for the remaining portion (check ready...so like cash). Then I met John in finance. John said with "your credit I can beat the 2.24%" and got me 1.7%. He was very thorough as well. The entire car purchasing process was really painless and stress free. The whole 'negotiation process" was more a conversation and I felt like Fletcher Jones was trying to earn my business....and they did.great experience

by Audijr on 05/28/2014updated 04/26/2025Great Job! Car is working well. I really appreciate the A3 loaner.Excellent Information & Education from Melinda S.
by Artizen92983 on 06/09/2014updated 04/26/2025Many people dread the entire car buying experience and most have a good reason. After buying my first Audi at Fletcher Jones, my perception of the sales and customer service within the car buying industry has changed for the positive. For… once, I worked with a true professional on the sales side! My sales associate, Melinda S., comes from Hungary (where most of the Audis are made). She not only knew her product (for every model I sat in), but she knew how they compared to competitive brands. Some car salespeople sell cars as a stop to their next job. Melinda has been in the car industry for many years and has worked for the competitors. Whether it is engine details or quality of specific components, she has an answer and knows what would be best for you. What impressed me was her bluntness about saying, I like this aspect of a competitor but this about Audi. She knows the Audi product sells itself and is not afraid to give complete information and education to a prospective buyer. I had the opportunity to not only meet Melinda but a straight-forward finance manager, Brett Anderson. When I was negotiating final prices and options, Melinda stayed with me. She did not throw me to the wolves and let me fend for myself. She had no problem jumping in mid-sentence while the finance manager was speaking and saying, We dont need that or Lets do x instead. At the end of the day, buying a car is not only about the car you get. It is about the total package including maintenance, customer service, accessibility, and being reasonable. I felt like I wanted to come back to the dealership specifically if something went wrong. I felt like I would get honest answers and honest treatment. Only time will tell if they can continue to deliver this kind of service. I came into the dealership not intending to purchase a car. I was there merely to compare Audi with BMW and Mercedes. I left purchasing an Audi TT Roadster because the car felt right and I was comfortable dealing with Melinda and Brett professionally. If the professional aspect had not been there, I would not have purchased the car. Being in sales myself, I know that who you work with determines everything. If you purchase an Audi, specifically ask for Melinda S. No one else who works there comes from where these cars are made and no one there has spent most of their professional life working within the industry for competitor companies.Terrible Sales & Customer Service! Jerks!! Don't waste your time!!
by marvista on 10/19/2011updated 04/26/2025Overall terrible experience! As a female I felt very discriminated and treated very unfairly by just walking in the door. Although, I am an accountant/CPA, in my third lease agreement and understand the variables of a good lease! I spoke… with an incompetent sales person, that would not provide me with the basic financial information a dealer is supposed to provide you for a lease on an A4. Completely wasted my time, then they wouldn't give me the keys to my own car, as the used car manager was looking at my car so I was stuck for another 45 mins. Then the "used" car sales manager came over to talk to me about leasing a "new" A4...? The finance manager acts like he is the Wizard of Oz sitting in his office joking with other sales people about sports, but then doesn't even have the professional courtesy to come introduce himself. Very arrogant, unpolished and unprofessional dealership. It took them 4 failed tries to get the right sales tax, I even argued the following day with "Joe" another used car finance manager who has been doing this for "30 years" he says, about the sales tax in Kankakee county...it's 6.25%, which he swore was 7.25%...yes for the corporate rate, not for sales tax for cars, buddy! I think anyone can do much better at another dealer. I would recommend going to Audi in Orland Park. 4 of the sales people from Fletcher are now in Orland. Ask for Bob, it's worth the 30 minute drive. They will even work with you over the phone so your time is not wasted. The deal over the phone was still $50 a month cheaper with the Orland dealer for the same car and I did not feel I was trying to be taken advantage of. They are also very professional. Don't waste your time on Fletcher. I don't have any connection or obligation to OP, other than leasing my car from them. At the end of the day, Fletcher Jones sells cars...they aren't surgeons saving lives. Get over yourselves.Great Experience
by MGH101 on 05/23/2014updated 04/26/2025The folks at Fletcher Jones Audi were great to work with. They were accommodating and I never felt pressured.Highly recommend them.
by bdubbbs on 05/23/2014updated 04/26/2025Sure they are on the expensive side. But so is your Audi. Fletcher Jones' service department treats you like a VIP, does great work, delivers on time, and is actually really price competitive. And their waiting room coffee machine makes… better chai tea than most coffee shops in Chicago. Highly recommended. If you get Lance as your service guy, you are in great hands.
