    When we arrived at the dealership we weren't sure what we were looking for in a car. Ryan Dralle did a great job walking us through the various models and price points. He was very thorough, courteous and knew the Ford line. We were very pleased with the experience. The entire staff was friendly and courteous as well.

    It was a team effort. Stacey Zaring had to go to Las Vegas so Joe Winkle helped on the day I came back from NY to sign the paperwork. Then when I got home I noticed that the front license plate holder was missing and the truck seemed to smell like somebody had been smoking it - so I drove back. This time Joe was at lunch but Chris was on the desk and he could not have been more helpful. In 30 minutes I had a new front license place holder installed (thanks to Nick) and the remedy for the smoke smell. I was blown away. TWO THUMBS up to the entire team.

    Marin helped us out tremendously. In other dealerships I've visited the representative only cared about pushing the car they wanted for us, but Marin was different. He asked us what we were looking in a car and presented us with choices that fit our criteria. He gave us information on every car we asked about and was very honest and patient. I will definitely send anyone looking for a new car his way.

    I like the personal attention from sales thru finance. Everyone gave their personal touch and made me feel like my needs and concerns were very important to them. They treated me as a person and not as sale to meet their goals nothing was forceful nor was I made to feel uncomfortable in the whole process. When I walked into the showroom in New Whiteland, I told them I don't like aggressive / pushy salesman and they introduced me to Jeremy. We discussed what I was looking for and he made it happen. Extremely satisfied with the experience.

  • Wham, Bam, We don't give a damn!

    We visited this dealership after being quoted a price for a vehicle meeting our specifications, over the phone. After driving 1.5 hours to the lot, we learned that the car we had been discussing did not exist and that the price we were quoted over the phone was now null and void. It was mentioned at this time that there were several cars in the area that met our specifications that they could get for us. We negotiated a price and were happy. We had a signed contract for a car. We had already written the check and had a VIN number. The contract explicitly stated that we had purchased that particular car. The next day, we were told that this vehicle had already been sold and that they could not get another, similar car. David Everett then informed us that our purchase was subject to availability and that it was our tough luck and our problem. We encouraged him to re-read our contract, after which he never mentioned that fact again. You see, our purchase wasn't subject to availability - we had purchased that particular car and we had already given them the money for it. His statement would be like me saying "the money may or may not be in the bank, it is subject to availability and, if it isn't there, tough luck and it's your problem not mine". After three days of hassle and stress, and being told by David Everett that it was our problem and we would have to deal with it, it was discovered that an identical car was found and could be given to us in leiu of the car we purchased. Amazing!! If he had spent half as much time trying to fix the problem as he did trying to weasel his way out of a binding contract, we would have already had a car. The most important part of buying a car is in the actual transferal of the vehicle to the purchaser - this dealership cannot even do this!! No apology was given, no 'it was our fault', no 'how can we make this right?', just a 'wham, bam, we don't give a damn'!

    After I did my usual due dilligence in researching various models in the class of vehicle we were looking at, my wife went in on a Saturday to test drive a new Ford Edge. This is her car and she would have to feel comfortable with the dealer we were going to buy from. She was met by a salesman upon arrival and was put at ease immediately and was treated with respect and didn't get the usual prodding and high pressure rhetoric she had experienced at other dealers. She was asked questions as to the model, appointments, and any other concerns she would like to have addressed. She was shown the vehicles that best represented what she was looking for, and asked if she would like to test drive any of them. Mr Swisher was very professional in every way and when sitting down to make the "deal" explained what programs were currently being offered. We were very impressed with the low pressure, no gimic approach of the staff at Ray Skillman Ford. Their product knowledge was top notch. They took time to explain all aspects of their dealership and at the end left us with no unanswered questions ( a first for me). This was an excellent car-buying experience for the two of us and we would both give our most vigorous endorsement to this dealership. This is the 18th new car I have purchased in my lifetime and cannot remember a more satisfying experience in new car buying.

    "Greetings Pilgram, your search has ended!" should be their motto. I highly recommend you start here at the Ray Skillman Ford/Hyundai Southside Dearlership in your Journey to find a new ride, but would bet this will be "The Destination of your Dreams"! Save your gas - don't let the best one pass! I was treated like "Queen for a Day" and then some and got to drive off in my new blinged-out black Chariot (Fiesta). It's like having a party in the car with the different colored lights, fabulous sound system, dynamic extras, unheard of gas mileage, the list goes on and on with pros about their vehicles and top notch, first class, front row guest services provided. There's something there for everyone to fall in Love with, no matter your age or style! Spoil yourself with a Ford! You can't get any more American than Ford! I gave thanks this Holiday for meeting those wonderful people, including Brian C, Stephanie D, David E and all the complete Ford/Hyundai Team, making sure I was happy with my choice and being helped like a family member. Happiest of Holidays and Future to the Ray Skillman family!!!!

  • Focus St buying experience

    Saw the ST I wanted on their website and drove to see it. Met by a salesperson in the lot who answered my questions but did not lead me or pressure me at all. Went on a test drive with him and loved the car. Focus ST2 trim package. Went in and filed the paperwork. Got a good price on it as well and went back three weeks later to get my car detailed as it was used and wasn't fully cleaned when I bought it due to the fact that I came late in the afternoon and had work early the next morning. Had no issues at all and the staff was very interesting in serving my needs. I'm a young person too so there was no profiling involved or bias. Impressive demeanor compared to other dealerships I went to.

  • Great on Sales but Lousy on Paperwork

    The sales experience was great but this dealer as many do, charge you for a doc fee, unfortunately they did not do the paperwork correctly and the information that came back to us was not in both my name and my wife's, just my name. They had what they needed it to do it correct, but dropped the ball.Really, you pay for a service and then the dealer get's it wrong and pretty much got the oh well when I called. Dealers should not be charging to do the paperwork required to make a sale. It is just an additional income stream that consumers get stuck with the bill for doing nothing. Some dealers are going to a No Fee policy and I commend them, but others are just sticking it to you and can not do it right! The car was delivered to me and not as clean as it should have been for a new car. The detailing should be flawless on a new car. Although I will say the sales people did an excellent job!
