As usual, job well done!
by cowsmorecows on 05/06/2015Wife came out to find our '06 MDX back window down. Motor had failed and 'let' the window fall. Needed it fixed ASAP (spring rains etc...) Service Writer Matt (best of the best), made sure I was worked into schedule. He also found a… 'coupon' to help me with the cost. That is (again) why I NEVER think to take our vehicles anywhere else...always serviced right, with a personal guarantee....what else would you want?Very well done service
by Hobieba1 on 04/05/2015updated 04/10/2015Matt and Mike and their group did a very professional and timely job on servicing my vehicle. Thank youLove my car
by LilFlip on 04/07/2015This dealership has excellent customer service. They always look into everything I have issues with on my car. Very friendly and helpful.Oil change and tire rotation
by Edmonds2015 on 04/07/2015Complimentary car wash was not thorough. Car was washed but wheels still had dirt and parts of the vehicle look like car wash missed it. Appeared like they used a poor quality wash. This has been consistent each time they've washed my… car. Consider upgrading to a higher quality car wash.Service Department is Exceptional
by melhappy on 03/10/2015updated 03/20/2015This is our second Acura MDX and we love the vehicle and the service department. They are professional, friendly, customer focused and they make the entire service process enjoyable.great dealership to work with
by an_198317 on 02/03/2015I guess everyone has different experience about working with dealership. My experience with Acura of Johnston was pretty good.I have purchased couple of new cars with other dealership, the Acura of Johnston is the best dealership I have… ever worked with. I was trying to buy a CPO MDX. Since I am living in Kansas, it's a little hard for me to travel to Iowa for a car. But the salesman John Rowold is willing to work with me patiently to help me find the right car. And we had everything finalized through couple of phone calls and Emails in a very professional way. Then he picked me up from the airport to test drive the car I was looking at, which is fantastic. We spent 2 and a half hours to finish the paperworks and I drove the new car back home. All of the staff are very friendly, honest, and professional. Will definitely visit them again.Do not buy
by jleo on 05/15/2009I bought a 2007 used car from this dealership less than 4 weeks ago. The whole exhaust system fell off last night. Had it towed this morning and after I had to call to see what the deal was with my car, the service man told me that it… would not be covered under warranty. He said that we would have had to bottom out the car and we caused it. How convenient. Do not buy from this dealership, they will rip you off on the warranty.Do Your Research or Avoid This Dealer
by rudy16 on 03/26/2008Know what your car is worth on trade-in before you try this dealership. They gave me an insulting figure for my trade-in. When I called them on it, they raised the amount about $2,000 in five minutes, but we still didn't make the deal. I… based my value on trade-in value from Edmunds and Kellys' Blue Book and they were still $2,000 below that. They are already making $1,500 to $2,000 on the new car and then they want to make $5,000 on the trade-in.Mistake Upon Mistake Upon Mistake...
by xMMx on 01/16/2014updated 04/29/2025I purchased a 2014 RDX from Lithia Acura of Johnston. This was an out-of- state purchase initiated by an internet quote request. They sent me a quote with a VIN one trim level higher than the vehicle negotiated. They tried to cover up… their mistake by ‘discovering’ a paint flaw on the higher trim vehicle, preventing them from being able to sell it. After renegotiating for the correct trim level, they prepped and delivered the wrong vehicle. It was the right year, make, and model, but the VIN on the vehicle didn’t match the paperwork delivered or documented in correspondence. The two keys delivered were also for two different vehicles. A few of the requested options were also not included. I applied for a 48 month loan using the dealer website. They delivered paperwork for a 60 month loan. The temporary title I received from the dealer via the Iowa DOT had the wrong VIN. This was because the dealer sent the wrong Manufacturers Statement of Origin to the Iowa DOT with my paperwork. (Heaven help the person they sold that vehicle to) They didn’t submit paperwork to Acura Financial in a timely manner. This resulted in Acura Financial requiring the first payment in order to fund the loan. Dealer Finance Manager called me requesting payment and took a tone I didn’t appreciate, trying to make me feel like a deadbeat for missing a payment. Due to all of their mistakes and their delay in financing, I suggested instead they refund my deposit and pick up the vehicle. They decided instead to fund the first payment. In conclusion, they offer a competitive price but commit far too many mistakes. They aren’t completely honest, yet they’ll compensate you when you call them on their BS. You decide if it’s worth the trouble.
