Every visit results $1000 of “necessary work”
by Former Herb Chambers Customer on 12/01/2024Every single time I bring my five year old van for service, I receive a list of at least $1,000 worth of work the vehicle needs. And, of course, none of it is covered by the warranty the sales office encouraged me to get. I will never bring… my car in for service again, nor will I ever buy a Honda again.It's concerning to hear about your repeated experiences with unexpected service costs and warranty coverage issues. Wholly Dissatisfied
by Tia on 11/30/2024I brought my car in for a simple oil change service. I was told three separate times from three different people that it would be 90 minutes for the oil change and inspection. So, we dropped our car off and went for a walk expecting to get… a call back. Two and a half hours later, we called them and the car is still in process. We arrived back at the three hour mark and they JUST finished. I understand things run late, but the attitude of the worker checking us in and out did not make our first service here any better..She checked us in, really wasn’t friendly or seemed like she cared. We were told when we first purchase the vehicle and several times after that we’d have complimentary oil changes for the first two years. When she checked us in, she said we only had one service left since we’re at 6000 miles and they cap it at 12000 miles. Nobody told us this—and honestly, oil changes are typically done between 5k-6k miles so if that’s the case, we would only ever be eligible for two free oil changes.. if that’s what I was told from the start, that would have been perfectly fine but every interaction I’ve had with this dealer up until this point has emphasized that we’d get free oil changes for the first x amount of years. The woman who checked us in wasn’t very helpful when explaining this oil change policy and her tone was honestly just so unfriendly and she had no empathy so it really just put a very sour taste in our mouths overall.Tia, thank you for the review. Honda service review

When I bought my car I thought the salesman said when I drop off my car for service, they clean it. They did… not clean mine. Also, I am writing to find out if I can get a sample of paint. When I dropped off my car I asked to have a knick touched up but was told it wasn't covered. I bought the paint protection plan.Pauline, thank you for reaching out. Disapointed
by Mike Creta on 10/30/2024updated 11/06/2024I cannot believe that I had an 11 am appointment yesterday for an oil change and tire rotation which took over 2.5 hours to complete. No one took the time to update me on the wait. I had to go to the desk and ask what the problem was… twice. If you cannot honor an appointment schedule why do you book appointments? Sad, that a major Honda dealer in southern New England cam make a customer wait that long without any interaction to keep the customer informed. Poor performance on everyone’s part.
