Thomas P. greeted us as we entered the dealership and proceeded to provide the absolute best experience we've ever had… in purchasing an automobile. Thomas exhibited product knowledge, honesty and integrity sprinkled with just the right amount of wit and humor during the give and take of the sale. Jeff T. not only made the process easy and quick, we had a car picked in 20 min and had it delivered the next week. Everything in the contract was as we… discussed and he went above and beyond to ask if I wanted anything special for delivery (ie a bow). Five stars to Tom P. and Herb Chambers
by Coricis on 01/16/2014updated 04/26/2025Mercedes Benz makes a fantastic car. This dealership is well organized and is managed very professionally - and everyone is friendly and attentive. Its clean, comfortable, it smells good, and you can freely see any new and pre-owned… vehicles - zero sales pressure. From the moment you walk-in or drive into service, its always a pleasure to arrive and stay. Herb Chambers knows his business. A year before my purchase, I walked in - or rather bicycled in - and Tom P. was there, ready to help. I told him I wasn't ready to buy, but I needed to evaluate the terms of a possible purchase. Tom gave me his complete attention, gave me all the information I needed and told him I would be back in a few months. A year later when I decided to trade-in my Honda Accord for a C300, I went back to Mercedes Benz of Boston - not because of all the great things about the dealership - which are expected of luxury brand - I went back to Mercedes Benz of Boston because of Tom P. I have been in sales all my life and I know sales, and Tom is a fantastic sales executive. He speaks his mind and tells you things as they are - no smoke and mirrors - he's also charismatic and a perfect gentleman. Tom found the right car, managed the financing and made sure I was buying the best car for me and NOT the best car for the dealer to sell me. And most importantly, Tom gained my trust and stood by his statements 100%. The bottom line is that I bought my C300 from Tom P. - not the dealership. As for the Certified Pre-Owned C300 I purchased, it has been a disaster - with multiple trips to service. Thankfully Tom recommended that I purchase an extended warranty and more than $10,000 in warranty claims have been taken care of - no questions asked. And every time I went back for car trouble, Tom and the service team were always by my side when I needed them. So the car has been a lemon, but I am so happy with my experience with Tom that I will always go back to Tom P. for advice and my next vehicle. Tom understands that a relationship based on trust and transparency will bring many sales over the years. Five stars to Tom P. and Herb Chambers - 4 Stars to Mercedes Benz - I will give them one more chance.Thank you for sharing your recent experience with Tom here at Mercedes-Benz of Boston. Georgina gave us her own personal cellphone number and kept very close… contact throughout the entire purchasing process to answer any questions or keep us informed of any updates of the cars we were looking at. Since we did not have a car at the time, the dealership was very accommodating in picking us up and dropping us off, free of charge from where we lived. All the staff were extremely informative and friendly as well. Overall it was a pleasure working with Georgina and the dealership, and of course we are extremely satisfied with our purchase, which is a beaut to drive.Thank you, Tyler, for taking the time to share you and your girlfriend's experience with Georgina. Best car purchasing experience ever!

I had heard that customer experiences at a Mercedes dealership were above average, but I had no idea how good it would be until I bought a Mercedes this week at Herb's dealership in Boston. I have never, ever been treated as… professionally, courteously and in as friendly a manner as I experienced at Mercedes Benz of Boston. Not only did I get a great on an immaculate CPO 2009 ML550, I truly felt like all the staff believe in their products, are passionate about what they do, and are truly happy for me to be there. From the moment I first walked in the door to the moment I left with my first Mercedes, I felt like I was royalty. Straight talk, excellent knowledge of the vehicle and its features and smooth handling of the entire transaction... what else can you ask for? So we went to Herb Chambers, the closet Mercedes dealership (we live in Boston, Back Bay)… and Jeff T. showed us cars. We drove several S class cars before we found the S550 which was (is) an extraordinary car that we purchased. Jeff was a pleasure - easy-going, relaxed, endlessly patient and accommodating. Also extremely knowledgeable and generous with his time. Unlike any car sales person I've ever met before. More like a friend who knew about cars and shared his knowledge and experience in a very enjoyable way. The entire process went smoothly, easily, and we were treated like guests in a 5 star hotel. The dealership staff are terrific, from the business end to the service people. Formerly Lexus aficionados, we have moved to the Mercedes camp and are completely thrilled with our car. No doubt we'll go back to Jeff when we're ready for our next car.Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback!
