This is the first time I have had an all around outstanding experience with a car dealership and its employees. I walked in 30 minutes before their closing time after I got… off work just to get some information and check out cars and options. Jonathan and I got to talking and then went for a test drive, before I knew it he had stayed over two hours past closing time because I became interested in one car in particular (of course with a billion questions). He was nice, patient, extremely knowledgeable, not pushy, and most importantly had a great personality. It was very obvious he was interested in more than a sale, but a satisfied and confident customer. I was extremely happy with my decision to go with Herb Chambers and would recommend Jonathan to anyone!Thank you for your compliments towards the helpfulness and dedication demonstrated by Jonathan. Leo S. Saved a Sale!!!
by Nate_L on 07/02/2014After a ton of online research I stopped in to see a 2008 M35. It was exactly as advertised, and in a wonderful condition. A short wait in the lobby and I was met by Leo S. Leo who was very nice, and extremely knowledgeable about the… vehicle. He worked around the clock to find out answer for questions I had about features, and shortly after I decided this was the car I wanted to purchase. I watched the video on SMART pricing, and the negotiation of trade value begun. Leo and I went back and forth a couple times coming to a middle ground when disaster struck - Roman the pre-owned manager. Roman came around introduced himself, and right off the introduction was very short. The discrepancy in value we were negotiating at this point was $500, which I would have happily paid had it not been for Roman's attitude - it made me no longer want the vehicle and stand my ground on the offer. Roman asked me questions on where i got my number for value, and as i tried to answer his question he would just talk over me. Roman neglected to listen to my answer that it was an average of 4 sites (Manheim Auto Auction, NADA, Cars.com, and Autotrader.com) and a previous offer from another dealer. Roman also neglected to look up the correct model of my vehicle, and at this point I decided this was not a dealership that could be trusted. I felt that if Roman was type of person they put into a professional position, and acting face of herb chambers something was wrong with this dealership. I stood shook Roman and Leo's hand and apologized we couldn't come to an agreement. I also mentioned sorry for wasting the time, and at this point Roman muttered "you already did" and walked off. I was appalled that a customer facing manager would do that. I did not take the low offer from their dealership personal, and it is my right as a customer to not be forced to buy a vehicle. I left shocked, and could not believe after all the work Leo S. had done - that Roman had no issues blowing his sale and ruining his commission. All was not lost though!!! Leo contacted me later that day, and mentioned he talked to the GM who would call me the next day. The next day i spoke with James B. the GM, and he apologized for Roman's behavior - he asked what we could do to change the outcome of this situation, but I was completely turned away from the vehicle - no matter how nice it was. A few days later Leo S. and I spoke again about the vehicle, my original offer was met, and i immediately purchased the vehicle! I could not be happier, and completely recommend Leo S! This sale would have been lost, and i would have never done business with a Herb Chambers affiliate again - but Leo S. changed that! Very happy, and would absolutely deal with Herb Chambers Infiniti again.I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and for allowing us the opportunity to earn your business. Amazing service!!

The sales manager (John I believe?) we're extremely helpful in our process of trading in a car as well as another… lease. We were coming from CT and they made sure we did not have to make more than one trip there by getting all the numbers done beforehand. They gave us their best price and even beat what we were asking for. While at the dealership they made the process as quick and painless as possible for us and our 3kids, Anthony even had coloring books and special snacks for them! We will definetly be back when our lease is up!QX56 Engine Replacement
by bigkey1 on 12/05/2012updated 04/29/2025I brought my QX56 in for an oil change but told the service guy that the vehicle seemed to be slow in reacting to stepping on the gas. They changed the oil and filter and took the SUV for a ride. They too noticed the vehicle slow to react… and running rough. They did some tests, replaced some parts and started over. Still rough, call Infiniti, do further testing and Infiniti told them to replace the engine. Yikes! This happened the day Hurrincane Sandy hit the NY/NJ coast. So it took a little longer than expected to get a replacement engine. Not to bad, I had a loaner vehicle, a G37, so a good ride while waiting. Finally the engine comes in, a couple of days later it is ready for pickup. I have had it for a week and it is purring like a kitten again. I had excellent service, great follow up and communications with the entire service team. Dan was the main man and he is always friendly and efficient for the Herb Chambers Infiniti Group. So, bad engine, loaner car, good effective communications, vehicle is running great, all at no charge to me. I would recommend this dealership for service, even if you bought the vehicle in Texas, bring it here to get it serviced.G37xS - Nice!!!

A year later, its time to buy the SUV we decided last year not to buy, and despite my promise, I… did walk in there again. First I called on the phone, having compared prices for what I wanted at 3 other dealers, and before buying the car in RI we'd chosen, thought we'd try here again- only 20 miles from home. This time around everyone was GREAT, the deal was exactly what was quoted over the phone, and I was given over $2000 in cash back to dealer rebates the other companies didn't even tell us about. I probably have the names wrong but John C is the person who started out with the no hassle deal over the phone,, and he was very straightforward to work with, John C showed us the cars/helped us decide, also no pressure, easy to deal with, and James B, the GM was also nice. He'd resounded last year, so i thought I should give them another shot. I was there for just a couple hours today from looking at color combos with my wife to signing the papers. Thanks for a much better experience.Elliot, I regret to hear of the experience you described while visiting our dealership. horrible customer service
by jklangon on 04/11/2013updated 04/29/2025Where do I even start? I cannot completely say my experience with Herb Chambers Infiniti of Westborough has been 100% unsatisfactory, just about 95%. This is due to the kind accommodations of Mr. John C. I wish I could say the same for the… rest of their staff. My first mistake was buying an Acura from an Infiniti dealership. I understand its no Infiniti but there was still no need to put your customer on the back burner. I figured with Herb Chambers reputation this would not be an issue. I was greatly mistaken. In spring of 2012 I proudly and excitedly bought my first car, a 2009 Acura TL. It has since turned into the worst car buying experience of both my parents and my own life. One can only hope the next one will be better. Shortly after signing on the dotted line and picking up my new car I found out my new purchase was only going to come with one key, no touch up paint, a dead battery, and a horrible detail job. Only time would bring about the worst issue of them all, the four, bottom of the barrel, unsafe, tires, which were placed on my car. I will be the first to admit, being a female first time car buyer, I am not exactly knowledgeable in what to look for when buying a car. Herb Chambers took full advantage of this. After EXCESSIVE annoyance and complaining on my part I eventually received a second key and new battery, which took over two months to receive reimbursement for, and some touch up paint. Now back to the issue of my tires Herb Chambers originally put four Nexen 3000 tires on my car. 1st of all they are the incorrect speed rating, 2nd they have become almost completely bald and unsafe after minimal mileage. These terrible tires would explain why it constantly seems like I have an alignment problem and my cars drive quality is far from what it should be. Bottom line is they are unsafe. Information on these tires is barely listed online because they are so cheap and uncommon. After going to multiple car dealerships, tire shops, and seeking advice from mechanics it is clear that I should be completely outraged that I was sold a car with these tires on them. It says a lot about the Herb Chambers integrity and customer service. After recently paying a visit to Herb Chambers, Mr. John C. made me hopeful that we could come to a happy medium for my issue. After multiple calls to the dealership after not receiving any word back over a month later, I received a call from the manager of pre-owned vehicles Mr. Roman M. Long story short, I was essentially accused of being cheap for requesting a deal on new tires (Mr. C. had mentioned a possibility of the dealership paying for two new tires and I would pay for the other two) just because I was overdue for a new set and didnt want to pay for them myself. Mr. M. spoke over me the whole conversation and upset me with his cruel, rude demeanor to the point of tears. This was officially the icing on the cake to a horrific experience with Herb Chambers Infiniti of Westborough, or now possibly any Herb Chambers dealership. If this is how they run their customer service department I will most definitely not be a returning customer. In addition, when purchasing the car I invested in rim and tire protection insurance due to poor New England roads. When recently getting a flat the dealership I took the car to for fixing took over four hours to find my tire anywhere in the system because it was so uncommon and they recommended to me getting a new set because long term driving on these tires would greatly effect the drivability of my car. Now every time I have to get a new tire under this protection plan it will be replaced with this horrible, lowest grade tire. After reading this report one probably things I am slightly crazy for being so extensive, but that is not the case. I just wanted to share my horrid experience and show off the sleazy salesmanship which Herb Chambers Infiniti of Westborough conducts their business.Justina, I appreciate you taking the time to reach out regarding your experience here at Herb Chambers Infiniti of Westborough. We take our guests reviews very seriously and since you purchased the vehicle before I was the General Manager, I wanted to take a look back into your file so I could get a better understanding of what happened. Your file states that you purchased your 2009 Acura TL on April 7th of 2012. The mileage at time of MA state inspection was 45, 880 which was performed on 4/12/12 with tire tread depth measurements of 7/32 on both front tires and 8/32+ for the rear tires (state minimum is 2/32). The next correspondence from you was on 5/3/12 requesting touch-up paint for scratches on your car, which we happily obliged and purchased the paint from Acura and had the touch up paint shipped to you. The next correspondence from you was about a month later stating that the battery was dead. We tested the battery before the vehicle was put on the lot for sale and it passed upon our inspection. We apologized, you brought it in, and we replaced the battery at no cost to you. Around the same time, you contacted us regarding your disappointment in that your 3 year old, used, non-certified Acura only had one key. We agreed to have the vehicle brought in and we brought it to Herb Connolly Acura to have a second key made, which was done within the week, at our expense. On 11/6/12 you emailed Sunny Rao, your Sales Representative, regarding that the condition of your tires. We sent you a copy of the original used car inspection report showing the condition and tread depth of the tires upon your purchase of the vehicle. The vehicle was serviced on 10/8/12 at Acura of Peabody with 57,456 miles. Which means the vehicle had put on 11, 576 miles over 6 months. On a Saturday towards the end of March 2013, almost 1 year after you purchased the vehicle, you came by the dealership regarding the tires. At the time of your visit, the Acura TL had approximately 60,000 miles on it. We took measurements of you 4 tires which read approximately 4-5/32. That measurement passes all MA state inspection requirements. During your conversation, you were offered a free mount and balance of any 4 tires if you were to purchase them from us. It was made clear that we could not pay for 4 new tires, but we would do our best to offer you as low of a price as we could. We then collected price quotes for various tire models of differing qualities and makes and emailed you an attachment with the price quotes confirming our initial offer to mount and balance the tires for free. You then emailed back the following day saying that you could get the tires cheaper from a friend and have them installed for free. You requested that we pay for the tires. Roman called you on 4/9/13 and explained how we cannot pay for 4 new tires on a vehicle that was purchased nearly 1 year earlier and had approximately 20,000 miles put on it. I understand your frustration and I do apologize for our lack of quick responsiveness in regards to returning your calls. We strive to provide our guests with the best customer experience and I apologize if you feel we didnt provide you with that. In closing, as we previously discussed, we will still honor our offer of a free mount and balance with the purchase of 4 new tires of your choice at the lowest possible price. Sincerely, James A. Better than expected

You hear all sorts of horror stories about this kind of thing, but I… obviously can't drive 3k+ miles everytime I need service done! So, I decided to call Herb Chambers Infiniti since they were close to me, and Samantha made everything easy on the phone. She was able to answer all my questions, and I then met with Rebecca upon arrival, who also I found very helpful. Long story short, I came in for a minor service, and was treated as if they had known me for years. My car looked great when they returned it to me, and the price was affordable. Intially good, but bad post test drive experience

However what happened over the 3 days following my test drive was not acceptable. I received an email the day after the test drive, 2… days after the test drive from this dealership. Then I received a phone call from a different Herb Chambers (Lexus) and email from them as well. I had mentioned during my test drive that I was interested in a Lexus. I did not give Herb Chambers Infiniti my permissoin to pass my info to anyone else, nor did they ask. One email follow up is fine. Asking me 2 days later if I'm still intersted when I made it clear I had other cars/research to do and wasn't immediately going to buy something was clearly ignored. When I called the sales manager he wanted to tell me their process , he just didn't get it that I wanted nothing to do with them at this point. He went so far as to say "So you don't want to buy a new car?" I never said that, I just wantn to keep my privacy, and that was irrelevant for the conversation at hand. I told him if I do buy an Infiniti or other car it will NOT be from Herb Chambers. Even if the emails were from a system -- they had no permission from me to pass my info to anyone else -- and the sales manager should have been apologetic and just said "we're sorry, we've removed you from our system -- if anything changes we hope you'll keep us in mind."Would not provide requested quotation
by denmcc1 on 12/29/2011updated 04/29/2025I used Edmunds.com to determine the market value for a 2012 Infiniti FX35. I then requested quotes from 3 dealers including Herb Chambers. While I received an email reply, Herb Chambers refused to provide a quote after multiple requests.… Their position is that "I don't want you to be concerned with price because you are elligible for our Herb Chambers best price guarantee." How arrogrant. They only use Edmunds to obtain leads ... and totally ignore the spirt of Edmunds useful, consumer based, quote requests. I took Herb Chambers Infiniti out of the running and got my third quote from Kelly Infiniti. I purchased my new FX35 yesterday from Infiniti of Nashua.Excelent service

I typically do my own maintenance and was a little worried going somewhere to have it done. I called for my appointment and Samantha went over everything with me and… made me feel as though they were going to take the same pride in my vehicle as I do. My appointment came around and was greeted as I pulled in by one of the writers, Matt. He also assured me that my vehicle would be very well taken care of, and explained exactly what they do including a free inspection of the entire vehicle. It's always great having someone who sees under the cars every day to look at it. I was given an estimated time of 1hr 15min for my oil change, inspection, and wash & vacuuming. It didn't even take an hour before my car was out and ready for me. The technician working on my car, Ed, was very honest and didn't try and sell me anything I didn't need. Instead he informed me of a few things I should pay attention to at my next service. I will not hesitate to trust everyone in the service department at Herb Chambers Infiniti again.Thank you for posting such great comments about Samantha, Matt and Ed! Dreadful Customer Service

After I went in person they said they would call me with an answer before the end of the day. I have to call every 3 days to get an update, b/c everytime… I call they say they need more time and they will call me back, but they never do. Getting the sales person or finance manager on the line is a hassle and to leave a msg is pointless they still don't call back. No matter how busy they can be they could at least call back even if they don't have any new info. to give me. 1st thing they ask is for a security deposit before they even checked the credit. It's almost a month and I still haven't received a definite answer. They should let me know if yes I am approved or not, instead of leaving me hanging. I just don't want to go from dealership to dealership filling up my credit report with inquiries. At least for me they have not been helpful at all and I don't know why. It has never taken me this long to get a car. I hope this helps the dealer view where they are lacking so the same thing won't happen to other customers.
