The dealership and service is exceptional. They applied the available coupons to reduce the Bill - I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. It was done within 45 minutes . I like: Drive up service, friendly service people, smiling faces, free coffee, tea and water. A safe space to sit and watch tv read a book do some work, make a friend. Everything explained, a text message when everything is done, a nice… clean washed car. Love the service 10/10 would highly recommend.Thank you for the 5-star rating! Excellent service experience

James and service team quickly repaired an exhaust leak in 2009 Ridgeline, very good communication from start to finish. We used overnight drop off process which was super easy and convenient. I now am on my second lease from herb chambers Honda . I use them for service as well because I want to take excellent care of my Honda . I actually did have an issue with my new passport regarding excessive wear on the front 2 tires .… James Bulger my sales man was amazing handling this issue. James Lavelle the service manager contacted me and I had new tires on the front a few days later .! Service Dept Wasted My Entire Day

This was a follow up service appointment from a previous appointment two months prior. The job seemed straight forward - new tires and new brakes. I was there for almost 7 hours! I had called ahead to set the appointment so they could… order the tires. Only to learn when I got there, they completely dropped the ball and the tires weren’t ordered. At the appointment, they were able to order the tires, but was going to take 2-3 hours. However the service rep told me he’ll instruct to have them work on the brakes while waiting for the tires. Tires arrived. Only to be told the job will take another two hours. B/c they never did anything with the brakes other than inspecting them. The car sat on a lift with no work being done on it. At this point, yes, they were somewhat apologetic, but really no offer of discount or loaner car. The only discount I ended up getting was due to them misquoting me on the brake job, so they honored their mistake - how swell of them. After I had been there for four hours did they offer me a loaner car. However at this point, based on the timeline quoted me, the job was almost done (or so I thought), so I declined telling them it was a pointless gesture. Fast forward to the time my car should be ready and I then get told it’ll be another 1-2 hours, but the loaner offer was still on the table. Again, explained how disgruntled I am at how they’ve wasted my entire day and the loaner won’t cut it. So, at roughly 2:45pm (I arrived at 8am) my nightmare ended and my car was ready. Other than an apology and the previous offer of a loaner, there were no other means by the service dept to fix this mess, like a discount on the service. I’ve been purchasing cars from Herb Chambers and getting them serviced there since 2007. I’m now going to have to think about ending this relationship. I will definitely not recommend their service dept to anyone. I’m now going to research local, independent mechanics in my area instead.Thank you for the review. I'm disappointed to hear that your recent visit wasn't up to our usual standards and sincerely apologize for any frustration or inconvenience caused by the long delay. I will make sure the situation gets reviewed with our team and hope you'll consider giving us the opportunity to earn back your business in the future. Friendly service, communicated clearly and finished work on time. Only reason I didn't give five stars is because at one point I was told I'd hear back from them once they had verified that the wheel service was covered by my protection… plan but after an hour or two I still hadn't heard from them and had to call.Thank you for the review, Dave. Apparently nobody communicates with one another at this location

Roughly 2 weeks ago, I reached out to Honda of Westborough in regards to a new Honda Civic Si they had in their inventory. I spoke with Tia, and informed her of the fact that I was interested in test driving the vehicle, as I am in the… market for a new car and leaning towards the Civic Si. She responded by asking me when I'd be available for said test drive, so we setup an appt for 11/17/22 at 10:15am. I left my house that morning at 9am, as I'm coming from Swansea,MA (02777), which is roughly 55 miles (60+ minutes) from the dealership. After arriving at the dealership, I was greeted by an individual (I'm not sure of his name) who asked if I was there for the Civic Si. I said yes, that I was looking forward to taking it for a test drive. At which point, his face changed to a look of confusion, and he then told me that they weren't allowing test drives of the Civic Si. Obviously I was very confused, because that was the only reason I was there and had committed to the long drive. He then went off and returned with another individual whose name I do not recall, but I believe he may have been the sales manager. I informed him that I had just driven over an hour and taken time out of work to test drive the vehicle, but he only responded by apologizing and confirming that test drives of the vehicle were not permitted. I again informed him of how unhappy I truly was, and asked him to put himself in my shoes and to tell me how he'd feel. To which, he again apologized. I asked if they could make an exception for the significant inconvenience I was now dealing with, but he said no and did not offer any other sort of a solution. Tia, who was in the dealership that day, was never brought into the conversation, which I found odd, because she was the one I had communicated with prior to getting to the dealership and she never brought up the fact that I couldn't test drive this vehicle. I was and am very unhappy with my experience and am unsure if I will ever shop at a Herb Chambers dealership again (I've purchased and leased from Honda of Seekonk in the past) based on this experience and the lack of follow-up or resolution on behalf of Honda of Westborough. Clearly my time isn't worth their effort. I hope something is done to address this, after I spent nearly 3 hours of my day driving back and forth (110+ miles) for what amounted to no reason. Wasted fuel, wear and tear on the vehicle, all to be told "No". This is unacceptable, plain and simple.Great service @ Herb Chambers Westborough

Not a good experience

I’ve gone here for years with no issues, however this experience was awful. I was there for an oil change, and as part of their multipoint inspection they remove the cabin filter. There was some debris like leaves on the filter, this is… normal. When they removed the filter a bunch of leaves and debris fell below. Instead of being a decent person and quickly vacuuming out the debris that fell below, they just put the filter back. So before I leave I turn on my ac only to shut it off due to the noise of some leaves now caught in the fan. I let the tech know and he told me that I can’t use my ac until I get this filter replaced ($153), they don’t/won’t vacuum out the debris they allowed to fall into the fan for free, and to not try and clean it myself as there “might be a squirrel/rat with rabies in there”. No joke, James was serious about the rat or squirrel living in my car. There is no animal living under my hood/in my cabin filter. Absolute horrible customer service.Great dealership

Never Again

Stay away, far away. I have had numerous bad experience with this dealership, especially when it comes to how they have repeatedly seemingly tried to take advantage of my wife being there instead of me. Today is the latest and final… example. We will not be going back. I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation with two coupons and some warranty work. Turns out the car needed some very expensive differential fluid changed (one of the reasons this will be my last Honda) as well that I had previously been told would be part of a later 30k mile service. Long story short, after some wrangling over what a car warranty actually means (I had asked them to investigate a noise coming from the dashboard), I left with a quote of $200. I was told the car would be ready in about two hours. Six hours later I got a call stating they couldn't find the noise and the car is almost done. Brought my wife to the dealership and she went in to get her car. They now tried to charge her $250! She asked to see what I was originally quoted and signed off on, which she was denied. Then, she told them to make sure the coupons were applied. They redid the papers and only applied one coupon. When she got in her car, she found a used disposable mask on top of a box of our clean surgical masks during a pandemic! It was not one of ours as it was black and we only have blue ones and white n95 masks. When she got home I called the service manager Alex, to go over the paperwork and discuss the situation. Couldn't be less helpful. Denied that it was possible someone left a dirty mask in our car, claimed the service advisor must have been "confused" by my wife's simple request to see my original quote that I signed off on, offered to credit me $10 to a future visit (that I obviously would not be using at this point), and was dismissive of my insistence that I never agreed to these additional costs that he claimed were in the fine print. I went there for a simple oil change and some warranty work, left without the warranty work completed, a very expensive bill that was more expensive than it should be, feeling incredibly disrespected both for me and for my wife, and disgusted with their treatment of our vehicle during this pandemic.
