    I have been shopping for a good used car, with an upper price limit of $15,000. I'm 74 and environmentally conscious. An electric vehicle (EV) is the ideal, but they are new, relatively untried -- and expensive. A good used car with decent resale value would carry me for 5 years or so, until we know more about EVs when I can shop for a new car. I have shopped considerably, online. On a recent Saturday afternoon, I looked again at Ford Fusions: those with AWD, and hybrids. Surprise! Fox Ford showed a NEW Fusion for "$14,995!" I called and spoke with Jeff Ewen, Sales Representative. I was calling about what is possibly the lowest priced new car being sold at your dealership, and one with the lowest profit margin. Jeff Ewen treated me as if I were purchasing my sixth or eighth new vehicle, and your most expensive one with the highest profitability. Jeff is knowledgeable, personable, professional, respectful, helpful, and kind. He did not hurry our phone conversation. He did not apply sales pressure. Because I live 90 minutes from your dealership, I offered to make an over-the-phone deposit on my credit card, so that I could see the car on Monday. Jeff replied that he could hold it that long without a deposit. On Sunday, I gave second thoughts about purchasing a car without all wheel drive, and Fox had some Fusion "courtesy cars" with AWD and 1.5 T engines for sale, starting at $19,000. Monday morning I phoned Jeff, and we discussed the merits of AWD in Michigan and the good and tested ecoboost engine. He agreed to hold the $15K car until I had test-driven both vehicles. I arrived on Monday to find the shiny, new car sitting near the front door. As I walked around the car, assessing it approvingly, Jeff walked out the door to meet me, though he'd never seen me before. Jeff is self-confident. He seems to know that he is representing proven, high quality vehicles that will sell themselves, if potential buyers are provided accurate information and given the opportunity to weigh their choices. He's just calm and courteous. I chose a car, and we initiated paperwork. Soon, Jeff was introducing me to Matt Brinker, Business Manager. He was ready. The paperwork was complete and organized. Matt was very personable, friendly, and libeable, but attentive to details and -- again -- unhurried. He answered questions and provided thorough explanations. Next Jeff introduced me to Deb Tomasik, who showed me through "my" car's electronics, synching my phone to the Ford Pass features. She demonstrated the functions, and related them to information in the owner's manual. That was really helpful, and Deb was thorough, professional, and friendly. She's a good teacher. I live 90 minutes from Fox Ford. I'm single, and a loner. It would be an imposition for me to ask someone else to drive me to Grand Rapids to pick up "my" new car. Jeff said that your dealership could help. The next day Jake (Franston?), a part-time employee, arrived at my home and drove me to Fox Ford. He's a sincere, interesting man, and he's interested in becoming a Ford Sales Representative. Through his work there, he is now planning a career in customer assistance and sales. Jeff met me again, asking if I had any questions and offering to help in any way, at any time, should I need further assistance. He handed me the key to the nifty new Fusion, and I was on my way. Little things. 1. After test-driving the car that I bought, I walked around the vehicle, assessing it. I noticed a tiny chip in the paint and mentioned it to Jeff Ewen. I then test drove another vehicle. When I returned and chose the first car, Jeff handed me a new tube of touch-up paint and said that he had used it to cover the paint chip. Is that not "going the extra mile?" 2. I intended to carry with me, on the ride with Jake to pick my the new car, a driver-side floor mat and my good, new sunglasses. I didn't realize that I didn't have those items until I sat down in the new car to drive home. I went to Jeff and told him. He contacted Jake, and together, Jeff and I checked through the vehicle for the glasses and mat. We looked thoroughly, not a hurried search. The intent was to find those items. Isn't that going above and beyond what would normally be expected? 3. On first arrival at your dealership, I accidentally and unknowingly dropped the keys to my old truck in the parking lot. Later, at some point in my test-driving two different vehicles, Jeff handed to me the keys to my truck. He had found them, pushed the door-unlock-button to assure that they operated my truck, and saved them for me. Good stuff! Just good, helpful, heads-up, extra service. 4. A few days after purchasing the Fusion, the Michigan vehicle registration papers arrived in the mail. And a couple of days later, the title arrived. That's important. That's doing the job promptly, and it's reassuring for a vehicle owner. Saints? Am I saying that the four people who helped me at Fox Ford are saints or perfect people? Nope, I'm not saying that. I don't know that. But I do know that I had a truly positive experience, based upon good people doing excellent work -- helping me to buy a good vehicle at a good price. I live some distance from Grand Rapids, so I probably will not have much opportunity to have my Fusion serviced at Fox Ford. I have to wonder, though, if honesty and integrity in quality work at fair prices are not the standard of practice there, also. There are opportunities for employees to be compensated for their work. Maybe there will be annual or periodic opportunities to review and consider wage and salary increases -- maybe some form of profit sharing. The front-line workers at Fox Ford are truly doing extraordinary work. Surely that deserves recognition, and perhaps tangible rewards. I appreciate your asking about my experience at your dealership.

    I went in for an oil change, and that went quicker than I had expected. The report afterwards was excellent and well presented. The best part, though, is a rubbing noise that had been in my LHF brakes was COMPLETELY gone, and I had not even asked them to look at it! I am BEYOND PLEASED!!You guys are the absolute best!!!

    This was the third vehicle I have bought from Fox Ford and the second time I worked with Jeff Ewen. I have never had a bad experience with Fox and Jeff has been a great sales person to work with. I have already recommended Jeff to a friend looking at the new Ford Bronco.
