There were no surprises with the purchase. My sales guy was completely honest, and… everything lined up just as we had hoped for. They even went above and beyond our expectations. by braveshopper on 11/24/2008I purchased a vehicle 12/07 from this dealer based on price and willingness to work with an upfitter, what happened on the day of delivery was almost unbelievable. After e-mail and phone negotiations, I travelled 400 miles to meet a dealer… representative who delivered the vehicle to me and who took the funds. The dealer principal was my sales representative. The dealership subsequently sent me out on the road in a un-inspected vehicle in a lake effect snow storm on a Friday night. This was the day of delivery and the day of the transaction. By definition this was not a service issue, but a sales issue. They sold an un-inspected vehicle. It wasn't until I was on the road, that I realized that the dealership never did a pre-purchase inspection. The vehicle was delivered without a headlight inspection (one was out) the other was mal-aligned, wheels unbalanced, a door out of alignment with snow coming inside, leaking cab lights, a horrible vibration, steering wheel out of alignment, bad fish eye repairs, defective tires (per the tire store), rust on the chassis, and 15 month old oil. The dealership took the pre purchase inspection money from GM and never did the inspection. Once home, they had me pay out of pocket to have delivery issues repaired locally on the promise of reimbursing me. They have been given multiple opportunities to pay for the work that they authorized. They have failed to honor their word and will not remedy the issues. The dealer local to my home will not work on it anymore because they did not receive the pre-delivery funds and feel abused. I have 4000 miles on the vehicle and most of those have been for servicing. I have spent nearly $1000 on travel, fuel, alignments, balancing, tire exchanges and only asked the dealer to pay for $110 of that...which he agreed to do at the onset. The dealer principal will not honor his word now, nor solve the remaining delivery problems. The only positive communication after the sale was when he offered to meet me 400 miles away from my home to change the oil...I did not. I did not feel I could trust them after my acts of good faith were not recognized.What a JOKE!!!

I went through the "Click and Buy" process on the website to complete most of the purchase process online, saving time in the dealership. I even picked out matching floor mats, I spent over an hour filling everything… out and the system had me set up an appointment time for the next day to bring in my trade and take delivery. Well, guess what, the car I had completed most the sales process for was not even there! It was gone, sold. When we called to ask about it they said it had been sold already, apparently before I "bought" it online! No phone call, no email.... nothing. Just an appointment time to pick up a car that was not even for sale anymore. They said they took it down on the sites when they sold it, guess what, several days later it was for sale on many auto sales sites, including their own! TOTAL rude [non-permissible content removed] if you ask me. I would NEVER go there, ever, most of the cars are crap anyway, save your time!!!!DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!
by melanie49431 on 04/17/2013updated 04/25/2025DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! The only thing WORSE than Voice Motors broke-down vehicles is their TERRIBLE customer service! This "dealership" is the reason so many used car lots get a BAD NAME! Try Bill Marsh of Traverse City or… Watson's of Manistee for quality used vehicles and true customer service. Stay away from Voice Motors of Kalkaska!!
