    I took my car in for an oil change and an inspection sticker on 10/31/14. Andy provided excellent service! I explained to him that I'd be leaving for Louisiana directly after work. I dropped off a dirty car and picked up a clean car w/ 100% Oil life and a new inspection sticker. He even got a stain out of my seat. When I arrived in Louisiana to visit my new granddaughter I began to have car trouble. I'd cut the car off, however, when I attempted to crank it again, it would not. The dealership was closed so I text Chris Lewis (The BEST sales associated in the world!). Chris called me back immediately and advised me to contact Chevrolet's roadside assistance and to keep him posted. I contacted roadside assistance the next morning. A guy from Jack Rabbit USA named Abide came to the rescue. My car was up and running in less than 20 minutes. Yay!!! Chris Lewis (sales associate in Jackson MS) even called me again to check on me...on his day off!!! Now that's great service!!!!!!! Thank you so much for being my car dealership.

    I was helped quickly - and unlike 3 other dealerships I'd been to - someone was able to help me FIND what I was looking for without taking half my day to try to sell me something else. It was a great experience and I've already recommended others to them.

    Chaz was amazing, he called me when the truck touched earth, jad me pictures via personal text, verified that it had the exact specs i wanted, stayed with me the whole morning, and got me on the road as soon as i got done with the paperwork. I never felt pressured, at all. Great salesman.

    I was very pleased with the service i recieved at your dealership. the staff was very nice and helpful. The guy in the service area (Chad) went over and beyond while helping me, he explained everything that was done. This guy should be employee of the year for sure. Wish we had people witht that attitude where i work. Thanks

    Richard did a great job. I will most certainly come see him for my vehical needs again. He went out of his way to help and deserves a raise for working so hard to get us a vehical we would be happy with. We were completely happy with our sells person.

    Charlie H was a great example of how a salesman should handle customers. I commend the Herrin-Gear staff for their understanding and patience; as I can be, and was, a very difficult customer. They gave me the time and attention I needed to make the decision to buy a new vehicle. Lastly, they gave me a fair shake for my trade-in and purchase of my new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. Herrin-Gear has my highest recommendation!

    I tried to go to other places to get my oil changed, but I found that I would much rather go to Herrin Gear where the service is outstanding and I know everything will be done correctly. The staff members are friendly and they make you feel like they know you personally. I just wish they could've shined my car up and made it look like it did the day I left the lot. Lol! Thanks for all you do!

    I,had a great experience, the saleman,Mr Robert W. was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly, I was really impressed with the whole team. Mr Vonis G. business manager went the extra mile explaining the financing process.

    I called and got an appointment07/01/14 . I spoke with Mr. P. in the service department.The wait time was not bad,nice clean waiting room ,wi fi,and courtesy van was available . He was very friendly and schedule my appointment.He was very professional and called me after my services were completed.So far I have not had any problem with the recalled on the seat belt that was repaired. I will look forward to servicing my vehicle here again . Thanks for allowing me to share my experience. Excellent service !!!!!!!!!!!

    We just came in for a routine oil change. We also got wipers replaced on the vehicle. I do believe the wipers were outrageously priced. It cost more for the wipers than it did the oil, which I felt was ridiculous but overall they did a great job!

    This could be you. I drove my truck in to the Herrin-Gear Chevorlet I-55 High Street. Jackson, Ms. For a simple oil change and tune-up where I had been going for years. But this time from the start something was off. I did not receive the quality service I was use to getting. It took them days to even get to my vehicle and I was the one who constantly had to contact them. Not the other way around. When I was eventually called and told my vehicle was ready for pickup along with the price $1033.00. Before I could get there I received another call and was told that while my truck was being driven off the rack out of the shop that the oil pump went out and blew out my engine. And that another engine would cost me around $5000.00. Now it puzzles me but if I had have took my vehicle there with engine damage then I would have been prepared to pay for the work needed. I needed a tune up the mechanic suggested a motor flushing saying it would help the truck perform better so I agreed anything to assist in the running and miliage of my vehicle. This is Herrin-Gears policy and practice now. You take your vehicle in for a simple oil change and tuneup they blow your motor up. You then have to pay them $1033.00 and the towing service $60.00 to get the vehicle you drove in home. What kind of service is that you could not even drive the vehicle after you paid for services. How do I even know the services were performed that I paid for. This has been going on for four years now they refuse to pay for damages that happen while in their service and care. Along with the poor service they have assisted in violating my rights having me arrested unjustified at which time I was assaulted. And they show no remorse they intend to drag their feet hoping that I give up or die before they pay for there wrong doing
    • I support what my father is doing. But I am fearful for his life. It was in october year before last that I had to search for my father and finially found him in the Hinds County Detention Center in Raymond beaten up. I had to take him to the emergency room. All on the lies of the employees of Herrin-Gear. Now the lies have started yet again. They called police officers out on June 15, 2009 stating that my father was out there waving a gun. When my father don't even own a gun I GUESS THEY WANTED THE POLICE OFFICERS TO COME AND SHOOT MY FATHER. But this time that did not happen. They were not able to cause him any harm. My father is 65 years old and really should not be out there in that weather/heat like he is daily but he is . All because herrin-gear blew up the motor in his truck and want make amends for it. Each and everyday my father goes to work as he calls it picketing we are in fear of exactly what herrin-gear will do to get him from down there inturpting there business. We see that they don't plan to ever attempt to resolve the issue being that it has been going on now for four years.Comments and blog updates will be made daily from this point on to document my fathers treatment

    Second purchase transaction in past year. Tradein value was in line with published value. Competitive price. Manager had a person drive vehicle to my office 60 miles away and take my trade back with him. Everything completed online or over phone. No high pressure;easy transaction to complete.Recommend them, but do your research first.

    Before I get to the review, I want to make one point very clear. I would advise anyone searching for a vehicle to avoid these cunningly deceitful people at all costs. However, if you must consider buying anything from them, be very cautious and make sure to get absolutely EVERYTHING that is promised to you in writing PRIOR to signing ANYTHING. Prior to signing all of the paperwork for the vehicle, I noticed while inspecting it that it was missing a pretty major piece of equipment (rear seats). I asked if they had the seats. They stated that the vehicle was just traded in, and that the previous owner was going to drop them off soon. I restated my question asking if the seats would come with the vehicle. I was told yes. I also noticed that the power folding mirrors did not work. "They were working the other day because I used them. It's probably just a fuse that's blown. I'll make sure that gets fixed for you." So, we agreed on a price (assuming these items would be fixed) and proceeded to get the paperwork started. After being offered a ridiculously low price for my trade in (less than half of the blue book value if I sold it myself), I proceeded to purchase the vehicle without trading. Once all of the paperwork had been signed and the keys handed over (making the vehicle mine), the assistant manager says, "Oh, for the price you paid, if the guy doesn't bring the seats back, we can't replace them." The salesman then said, "Don't worry, we'll get the seats for you." Then foolishly (and I know that this is my fault), I trusted his word that they would come through for me and signed the paper saying they didn't owe anything else on the deal assuming that it was part of an agreement they had with previous owner to get the seats. They also stated they would get me the second set of keys when I picked seats up. Fast forward a week when I still hadn't heard anything from them regarding the seats, I proceeded to call the office and asked to speak with salesman. I was told he wasn't available at the moment, and that he was going to call me back. Another day goes by, so I call again. Again, I'm given the same story. So, I called his cell phone. He told me that he would check on the seats. After many more calls and discussions over the course of a week without a definitive answer, he stopped answering my calls and ignored my texts and voicemails. Finally, I get a text message back after 5 days (and much badgering by me) saying "We can't get the seats." I now know that the mirrors that are on the vehicle had been swapped out with non-power folding models (never would have worked) at some time. The previous owner of the vehicle never even agreed to give them the seats in the trade. And they didn't even have the second set of keys because the previous owner still had them. I know all of this because I just left the previous owners house after having to purchase the seats from him to get the rest of the vehicle that I bought from Herrin Gear. Now, I realize that technically they don't owe me anything since I signed the paper saying they didn't owe me anything (after I had signed all the papers to purchase the vehicle), but this is just deplorable behavior from any kind of business. After being misled, deceived with slight of word, and flat out lied to, I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone. Matter of fact, I would HIGHLY recommend staying as far away from this dealership as possible. Please learn from my mistake, and do not give these deceitful people any of your hard earned money.
