DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!!
by tec4jd on 11/12/2008Dear Reader, Please, I beg you, do not go to SunTrup Nissan in St. Louis, MO. No matter what Joe Buck tells you! My fiance and I visited in November of 2008 and were ready to buy a car on the spot from a dealer when "the games"… started. Suddenly the price of the vehicle started changing, we had to SIGN agreements before even getting a quote, and the dealer in question ended up insulting my fiance for asking a question about the value on resale. Then, after we tried to walk out, a different dealer tried to get us to stay and keep talking. I suddenly realized I must be on an episode of Law and Order because they were playing good cop, bad cop with me! Again, the worst part of the experience was that everytime we asked for the price of a vehicle we had to sign an agreement to buy the vehicle. It was insane. These guys are shady. Stay Away!!!Best car buying expierence ever
by kdsgms on 09/14/2008Shopped on the internet. Suntrups price was almost to good to be true (so good i called the sales manager to verify) I recieved a great trade in value for my trade. And I spent less than an hour at the dealership including financing. My hats… off to the entire staff they were all willing to help each other out (rare quality off most dealerships i have been to). Thanks Suntrup I love my new Altima.Worse Dealership in St. Louis
by btdull on 08/19/2008After dealing with their internet department and not being too impressed, we decide to visit them to check out the Quest. The salesman while showing us the power doors proceeded to shove my wife's hand into the door and have it close on… it! The pressure from the door left a bruise on her hand. After he did this, he didn't apologize for it either. He talked about how little force is needed to make the power doors stop and retract. I would hate to see what would happen if it was my son's arm or head that was caught in the door. If that wasn't enough, the salesman was training another salesman during our showing of the Quest. Not a big deal, but the new guy proceeds to sit in the Quest instead of us. Not exactly, what I was expecting. Overall, their sales staff are subpar to say the least. They need to work on their overall manners dealing with people. Joe Buck should be ashamed to be associated with such a lousy dealership.deceptive tactics to get you in the door!
by stlouisfan on 05/07/2008I was promised $1500 under invoice (I know too good to be true it probably is!) Sales Mgr. When I got there they wanted to give me $2500 less than what I got else where and still got my Rogue at almost $600 off invoice with lifetime oil… changes and a moon roof at no charge!Sales Review
by paul12345 on 10/21/2007I bought a Nissan Altima 2.5 in the summer of 2004. The purchasing process was very frustrating. Suntrup uses very long stall tactics to make you wait and increase your time investment there. Also, in the middle of price negotiations, my… salesperson ended up helping someone else and leaving me hanging. We ended up agreeing on a price but they do not treat buyers very well.Snakes
by eadair on 08/21/2007In purchasing my 2006 Special Edition Nissan Altima, I was promised a $1000 check if Suntrup was unable to match the price from another dealership. While negotiating with Suntrup and another dealer, I found a better price at a different… dealership, and was told by the salesman at Suntrup to bring a signed pricing agreement to them and they would write my check. After specifically clarifying that the price was for an "automatic 2006 Nissan Altima with the Special Edition package," they again instructed me that they were unable to meet the price. After purchasing the car from the other dealership, I returned to Suntrup with my pricing agreement. It was there that the same salesman to whom I spoke on the phone informed me that the car I purchased was "an entirely different car", and that they would have "easily beaten" that deal. After repeated arguments, including me repeating the scenario where I specifically verbalized the model of the car, I left Suntrup without my $1000 check.stupid salespeople
by stevey35b on 12/25/2010updated 04/27/2025I used edmunds.com to inquire about price. all I received was "we'll call" or"visit us". I thought the salespeople would be perceptive enough to see the inquiry came through Edmunds, that it was a price inquiry, and they would respond with a… price quote close to TMV - rebates - dealer incentives. Was I ever wrong. All they want to do is play the sales game. Haven't migrted to an online world where information is easily available.
