What I appreciated most about my whole experience was that it was efficient and tailored to what I… wanted. I felt as though the price was fair and there wasn’t any painful back-and-forth negotiating process. Buying a car is not my favorite thing to do but buying it at Bridgewater Audi made it almost a pleasant experience. First New Car at 50

by KM on 12/21/2024updated 12/27/2024I dropped off the car at 7:30am. The service rep asked me if I am going to wait or not. I said depends on how long will this take. I then asked how long will this take, she said impatiently that she is alone and it will take time for… her to assist all the customersa d take the car to the service. It is not my fault that she is by herself. I am not sure why the service rep has to drive the car to the service. Any other service place, it is done by the service people or the delicate person who is outside to greet the customer. Obviously, there was no one. We'll, the rep never got back to me on the time. 2 hrs or so later, they told me that they replaced the light bulb but still require another part to get the light working. They did not have the part. I needed it working as soon as possible, so I can other service location. I called Audi Milburn, they checked and told me that they did not have the part, but right away told me that Audi Englewood has it. Why didn't this place check and tell me. They never offer and just told me no where would have it in stock. The bill came up to closed to $800 for a light bulb changed. I paid the bill and drove to Audi Englewood. I arrived there about an hour later. I told the rep there the light bulb was replaced and that it just needed that part as I was told by the people @ Bridgewater. An hour later, the people @ Englewood told me that the whole headlight needs to be changed. They ran diagnostic. They gave me a 10 pages report. Since they did not have the headlight, there was no point in replace that part which would have cost me another $1000.00. They said I can just take back the car with no cost. I called Audi Bridgewater and told the person on the phone what happened and that the issue was not the lightbulb. The person said I should speak to my rep, Sara, and she is not available. She would call me back. About 4 hrs later, no call back. So I called and Sara picked up the phone. I asked if she knew what happened. She said no. So basically no one told her what happened. After telling her what happened, I asked if she can do anything for me since I am out $800 and that was not the issue. She said I still need a light bulb. Would it be fair for me to pay for labor and then I will have to drive elsewhere and then be charged more to replace other part. She said $800 for the lightbulb is fair. I asked her if they ran any diagnostic before replacing the lightbulb. She did not answer me. Why even replace the lightbulb if that is not going to fix the issue. I told her I am going to let them do the right thing before I called the credit card company to dispute the charge.I apologize for the frustrating experience you had with our service department. It sounds like there was a lack of communication and thoroughness, which is not what we strive for. I understand your concerns about the charges and would like to help resolve this issue fairly. by Audriana6 on 01/01/2024I purchased a very nice 2024 Audi A6 from Audi Mendham a few weeks ago, but Audi Bridgewater- Mendham would not release my plates and registration, held them for over two weeks based on their unsubstantiated claim that I still owed them… $271.00. Rather than intervene on my behalf to correct this error, the car salesperson doubled down on the demand for $271.00, attempted to blame me for the dealership’s alleged "miscalculations” and would not provide me with the “calculations” to support the dealership’s demands, despite my request for same. I fully credit Manager Kevin Kubat for accepting responsibility and exercising good judgment and customer service in his decision to release my plates/registration without further charge. I respect the fact that within minutes of our conversation, he told me, point blank “this is our fault” and delivered my tags and registration the next day via overnight mail. Nonetheless, this experience was stressful and sapped some of the joy that I should have experience purchasing a very nice new car. A few other concerns I mention now, only because the lack of professionalism displayed towards me after I fully paid for the car, leads me, with hindsight, to question the totality of events and circumstances surrounding the purchasing of the vehicle, the treatment I received and whether I was ever viewed and as a valued customer in the first place: 1. I believe that the car salesperson dismissed my concerns regarding certain desired specifications for the vehicle and my concern that I might have to drive on expired temporary tags for an extended period. I believe that the car salesperson should have considered before the order, that I had not purchased a vehicle in 10 years ( as they were told) and that there were certain features that would no longer automatically come with the vehicle, features which I later found out through review of the car manual, could have been ordered. But a very nice vehicle nevertheless, and I bought it. 2. I did not appreciate that the salesperson enabled/disabled certain features on the vehicle that I would have preferred to have managed on my own and at a later time, despite my having made it known to them. Also, while the vehicle’s interior is quite impressive, I was expecting more Opaki brown than black interior, based on what was shown to me before I ordered. Nonetheless a very nice vehicle and I purchased it. 3. I definitely did not appreciate the hard press attempt to sell additional add-ons at the point of sale and the unwillingness to accept No for an answer. 4. Lastly, I believe the car salesperson should not downplay a customer’s concerns regarding potential consequences of driving on out of state expired temporary tags for an extended period.. I decided on Audi Mendham since I thought that I would be treated with respect and professionalism that I had received when I purchased an A6 from them 10 years ago and that they would honor my loyalty. I was expecting more of a discount in appreciation for my loyalty but did not get that either. Nonetheless, a very nice vehicle and I purchased it. Just shocked that a dealership that sells high end vehicles would stress their customers over 200 bucks. With hindsight, I should have purchased my Audi elsewhere.Excellent experience

Persistent!

Audi A5 buying experience gets 5 stars.
by Mark from Florida on 08/20/2023Keith was great. Went out of his way to be helpful at every turn. We were just looking at used less expensive cars on the back lot without going into the showroom. Keith happened to be outside and we spotted a great looking new A5 in… Chronos Gray with the black optics package. He told us about it and offered a test drive. The dealer couldn’t get to the price point I was looking for that evening. Keith followed up the next day to see what they could do. Between additional discount and a decent trade in, they got me comfortable buying a car that was 2.5X what I originally thought we were going to get. The only downside, as with every dealer I’ve ever bought from is that the whole paperwork process takes longer than it should. However because of that Keith is personally dropping off my new car at my house Monday morning - now that’s personal service!Mark, it's great to know that Keith went above and beyond for you at Audi Bridgewater. We're glad we could make the paperwork process a bit easier by delivering your new A5 directly to you! Enjoy your ride!

My first service was supposed to be 30 minutes long and after 3.5 hours I had stopped whatever it is that they were… doing because I had to pick my kids from school. I also requested a detailed invoice for a $250 service that I still not sure what it was for!Thanks, Bob
