Best experience i've had
by jetpaf on 05/14/2011updated 04/25/2025This is the 4th vehicle i've purchased, and i can say without question, this is the most pleasant expeience i've had. The salesreps, Peter Magrino and Diane Shain were kind, patient answered every question I had. Explained the differences… in models and listened when i told them my needs in the vehicle i was considering (Sienna). Unlike others dealers I visited (Sansone Rt 1), I did not feel pressured, uncomfortable and left with the feeling i got the best deal possible. I would would highly recommend visiting this dealership before buying a Toyota from any other dealer. I drove 25 miles and knowing how this dealership works, i would drive 100 miles.Finally a great Toyota Experience

I have dealt with several volume Toyota dealers in the past and have had awful experiences every time. Freehold Toyota exceeded all expectations and went above and… beyond. They are very transparent and work with your budgets and needs. Of course doing your research as a consumer is always important. iam so happy that Dan and the Freehold staff were treated me with respect. Typically dealers can be very arrogant and dont work well with informed consumers (my previous Toyota experiences) but not DCH, they respect and encourage doing business with informed buyers. Can't thank you guys enough. You have truly earned my business, and i will definitely refer you to my friends and family. PS: my wife loves her 'new' Prius. I find myself sneaking a trip here and there (even though i still love my GTI). =)great sales person

by ltk2000 on 04/20/2013updated 04/25/2025I just bought my Camry a couple of weeks ago at Freehold Toyota. A very disappointing experience. These are the things that went wrong. -Since I requested price quotes from Edmunds.com, the Internet person Tommy and I agreed on a price… over emails. But on the day that I picked up the car, I was asked to sign an invoice with a price several hundred dollars more than what we agreed on, plus extra "Etching" coverage, which I had already told the sales person Ryan that I'd like to decline. After I pointed it out, I was presented with another invoice, but still with the $299 Etching there. In their third try, it had the correct number. -It's my mistake that I didn't pay attention to the fees when I signed the paper. After I got home, I realized I was charged with >$600 of license and doc fee. There're two problems in this. First, the license fee I paid included four years of non-refundable DMV registration fee, and I was not told about this. We're considering moving soon, likely out of stat, and if we do, we'll not get refunded for the remaining portion of the reg fee. -The second problem, we're charged with $359 doc fee. After talking to my friend who just bought a car from another DCH dealer. I realized Freehold Toyota's doc fee is > $150 more than my friend paid. -I wrote to Freehold Toyota and asked for explanation, I was treated with arrogance, without getting satisfactory answers. I love my new Camry but I will never go to Freehold Toyota again.Great Salespeople, Great dealership

As an aside, however, I was not told that the heated seats would be installed by another company and that there would be an… additional 100 miles on the car when it was returned. Also, the mileage has dropped since the seat have been installed (not sure what that is all about). Also since the heated seats were installed, I now have a rattle. It was a mistake to allow an aftermarket installation on a new car. They did tell me that they would resolve the rattle problem.Great Service..

My wife and I purchased Toyota Corolla LE from your dealership last week and Rob's assistance was… instrumental in coming to DCH Freehold compared to other options we had (DCH North Brunswick and Sansone Rt 1). We purchased a Rav 4 recently from Sansone and were pursued by them to purchase the 2011 Toyota Corolla but ended up purchasing the 2010 Toyoto Corolla from your dealership mainly due to Rob's work ethic and the offer we felt comfortable with. I can attest that the service and follow up that Rob has provided truly exceeds the expectations I had of any dealership. Very rarely have I come across any sales representatives who are keen on helping their customers than trying to make a sale. I have found his dealings to be very sincere and extremely professional and thats the reason why Rob is able to make lasting long term relationships with his customer base. I have and will recommend any family/friend/colleague to seek his expertise when they are looking to make a purchase. To add to that, Paul assisted us with the finalization of the purchase and was very professional in his dealings with us. Both Rob and Paul understand the needs of their customers and appear to treat them with utmost respect based on my recent dealings with them. Although I was extremely disappointed with the way Dennis Fike (one of the managers at the Freehold Dealership) tried to push us to close the deal without allowing us time to think, Rob was diligent and patient on his end to ensure that our service needs are dealt with properly. I wish them well and hope to receive the same service in the years to come.Great Experience

Vinny is very knowledgeable and made sure I had the options in the car that were right for me and my family. He also brought us into the service department so we were familiar… with the department. Vinny helped us to get the best deal we could and I was very satisfied with the price. Levi was helpful in explaining the financing available and the Protection Plus Plan. Overall the experience was very good. I would highly recommend DCH Freehold Toyota.THE BEST IN TOWN

It was a very easy transaction and I now own a used Toyota Corolla.. I went back today to get some things looked at and they got me right… in and out!!!! thank you John The only person that I felt uncomfortable dealing with was the cashier, very cold and not polite at all... other then that everyone else was a pleasure to deal with.Great experience!

June D'Isa, the Fleet Manager, and my sales representative was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. She listened to my needs and located the car with… the features and price point I wanted. Paul Leahy in finance was also great and very informative and helpful. I had a wonderful experience with June & Paul and highly recommend DCH Freehold Toyota to anyone in the market.Another great experience at DCH Freehold Toyota!
by dyelner on 06/28/2011updated 04/25/2025I leased a brand new 2011 Toyota RAV-4 last week, Wednesday the 22nd, from DCH Freehold. The lease on my 2009 Toyota Camry, also from DCH Freehold, was ending on Thursday the 23rd and I waited until the last minute to turn it in/shop for a… new car. I had some other makes of cars (Crossovers/SUVs) in mind but had horrible experiences when I went to look at those makes and talk to their salespeople. I walked out of both of the places that I went to both angry and disgusted. The numbers changed as we were speaking, and they had nerve trying to get me to pay ridiculous money. I knew that if went back to DCH Freehold Toyota to get the RAV-4, which I really loved as well, that I would not only get a great deal, but would be treated with respect. Calling a day ahead, Dave Veary quoted a great deal to us on the phone and promised it would not change once we walked in the door (which is what happened at the other places---everything either went up, or that specific car they quoted was gone, or some other nonsense story). I knew from when I leased my Camry 3 years ago that I could trust DCH to be honest with me. So I have to give credit to Dave Veary for giving me a great deal and being totally honest and trusting. Our salesperson Peter Magrino could not have been nicer or more accomodating. I live over an hour away and he didn't want me to have to spend hours filling out all the paperwork. He answered all my questions about the car and about insurance and registration and whatever else I needed to know. He was so knowledgable and so kind and patient. Car shopping can be a stressful thing, but the guys at DCH Freehold made my latest experience, once again, a breeze. Take my word(s)!Good place to buy/lease
by jbreach on 09/09/2013updated 04/25/2025Generally fair market price and minimum gimmicks, DCH Freehold is a neighborhood dealership with some long term sales staff that has kept us coming back over the years. Like all dealerships they are in the business of making money, so do… your homework before you walk-in and leave your emotions at home. Negotiate to what you can afford to pay and walk out if that price doesn't work. Generally quick in and out (by dealership standards), overall reasonably organized and not too much "let me talk to the manager to see what we can do". Overall I recommend this dealership.Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience here at DCH Freehold Toyota. When I picked up the car, it had 100 additional miles on it and now had a new rattle. Also mysteriously gas consumption has… increased. Possibly the heated seats are drawing electricity and compromising the battery output to the engine.Rude Woman in Financing Department

They gave me a poor deal on my trade in, but everyone was great and I was okay with it until I returned later to… give them the title. The lady behind the financing desk was so rude that I never want to go back there again. She was demeaning, condescending, and disrespectful. I wished that I hadn't put down any money on the car so that I could have taken my business elsewhere. If the way that she treated me is an indication of how they treat their customers after they walk out the door, I never want to come back here again, and I would not advise anyone I know to go there.great sales person
