Incredible, streamlined experience
by dneill2992 on 01/05/2016I came to this location for my first ever lease and my representative Robert Desantis was incredibly helpful and understanding to any of the sometimes obvious questions that I had about my lease. He allowed me to test drive two different… models and be able to make an easier decision on which car I eventually wanted to purchase (which wound up being the Jetta Sport). Once I decided on which model and color I wanted Robert worked with me on the budget that I was able to afford and eventually made the numbers work so that I could purchase the exact car that I wanted. The dealership is also nice and very clean inside with everything that one could look for including an inviting service waiting area that seems like it will not be much of a hassle to come back and get my vehicle serviced. The receptionist that I worked with, Danielle, was also incredibly helpful as she made it possible to come right in with an appointment after calling in the same day. Unsatisfactory customer experience
by idrisk53 on 01/04/2016Recently purchased a 2015 Passat from this dealership. Overall turned out to be an unsatisfactory experience primarily because the sales person refused to deliver on his commitment. When we took vehicle delivery, we found floor mats… were missing in the car. Since it was late in the evening, our sales person told us we could pick them up at a later date along with the registration/plates etc. However, when we went to collect the plates, they told us the carpet floor mats were not part of the standard trim. I now understand VW does not include carpet mats with the standard configuration, (which in itself is questionable. VW seems to excel in deceptive business practices and short changing their customers). However, the sales person should have known about it. He should have been honest and upfront about it and not promise something they had no intention of delivering. Also, beware of inflated vehicle etching, documentation costs etc, and potential rip-off practices. Would be better if they actually focused on providing fivestar experience instead of pushing customers to rank them as such on auto websites.Hi idrisk53, I am sorry that you were disappointed with your experience with us. Bob DeSantis was very laid back, there was no pressure in fact he didn't like what I wanted to do. In the end he… came up with a deal I couldn't refuse. We also enjoyed the entire staff so much so that my mother donated a lifelong plant to their showroom. I look forward to going back for any scheduled services in the future. Bob's no hassle or pressure approach made me feel very comfortable, in fact he had my best interest at heart while helping me make my decision… which ultimately lead to my new instead of used vehicle. As for the Jetta it's my third one and I don't think it's as good as the two I have leased in the past. Definitely need to update… to a USB outlet, I had to buy my own (so outdated)...Stereo not user friendly and a little shaky,,,I think I should swing by and have them look at my car it seems a little off.....the rear window seems to have ripples. Smoothest buying experience ever!!!
by shermanward on 06/17/2015what a great experience.. Bought a certified preowned Passat from them. Very relaxed atmosphere. I called into their internet department first and they were very helpful, they went over the Passat with me. We set a reservation and they… called me back the morning of to confirm with me (very nice touch). I came in and met with Roy Draper, awesome guy.. Showed me the Passat, was very knowledgeable about the car.. Here's my favorite part, they had no haggle pricing.. It was such a welcome change of pace versus the hours long processes at other places I've been. They already had the lowest price by thousands to begin with so no need to play games, I literally can't believe anyone shops any other way these days.. We made the deal on the car very fast, Roy was amazing the whole time and was very respectful of our time.. We met with the Manager Justin for a little bit, and he was super nice and thanked us for working with them again. We were in and out of the finance office very quickly too.. Even better, by the time we got done with the paperwork the car was all washed up beautifully and had a full tank of gas!! Overall it was a great experience for my wife and I.. We have bought 4 other Volkswagens there in the past and would buy again in a second.. I highly recommend World VW.. Your knowledge of Germany language to put it mildly reserves to be better. Do you think it's… fun ??? This is not fentazi, that's life. I came from Ukraine to the United States only 11 months ago. I got a job 20 miles from the place where I live and I really needed a car. I have visited many showrooms in New York and New Jersey. Often I only saw the need for my money. And since I'm not very good in speaking English interest in me very quickly faded. But I knew that real Americans are very kind and helpful people. In the World Volkswagen Neptune company I met Lindsey Widmaier and Dean DeSantis, which can safely be called the epitome of the American people. Lindsey specialist online sales. At my request for information about the car I got a full answer immediately. So quickly and such a complete answer, I did not get from any company. I decided to do a long way at three o'clock that would see the car that was asked. When I walked into the showroom me happily, with a kind smile met Dean DeSantis. He was so kind, patient, competent to answer all the questions that I decided to buy a car here. The process of buying fiction is like a business deal. It was more like an old friend for help in solving your problems. As a result, I went home with joy on my first car in the United States. I will definitely be back here for next a new cars and all their friends talked about the best experience buying a car in the World Volkswagen Neptune company. Not only was i promised a deal through a secured promise and contract but was steam rolled and taken advantage of im soo sorry but i… dont want this happening to anyone else. I wouldnt normally do this but cowardly snakey salesman are not what i signed up for being my first time buying. No names mention(Justin) thank you for making my exp miserable and regretful coming to see you. Have a great summer thank you.Avoid World VW, or shame on you.
by zeebox on 11/11/2014My experience with World Volkswagen of Neptune was so poor that I feel compelled to share it with everyone. World VW will ignore you, disrespect you and lie to you, when it serves them. In my case, the sale process went like… this: Oct 27th - I inquired about a certified 2010 Passat. I communicated with Kevin Ward (a great guy, who doesnt belong at this shop) to get all the details. Then negotiated a price with Mike Papa and the GM. While in negotiation, the price of the car suddenly increased by $1,000 on the cars.com listing. Mike Papa reassures me that this is an automatic pricing adjustment software and of course the old price will be honored. Mike, the GM and I all agree on the terms of my purchase. The day before my flight down to get the car, Mike txts me - the car was sold. I am astonished, they sold the car out from under me, I didnt even think that was possible... disgruntled me goes away wondering how these guys manage to sustain a business. Nov 3rd - I notice the car is still for sale online. I place several emails and txts to Mike Papa, all go ignored. I finally call Mike and he is informs me the car is magically available again. I reluctantly agree to purchase, again. However, Mike and the GM refuse to honor the price we agreed to. It seems the 7 days erased their memory of the agreement they made with me. I email Justin Simcox the top dog, informing him that HIS OWN Premium Pledge states We promise to stand by and honor all commitments made during and after your purchase. Any price quoted that we agree to WILL NEVER BE CHANGED. This is right under the lie they have about being Easy Honest Convenient on their website - [HTML removed]. Nov 10th - Justin and Mike both impressively dodge my calls, voicemails, emails and txts for the next 3 days. I wonder why? Finally I speak with someone and learn the car was just sold again! Of course it sold for a higher price. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I gave them many chances to make this right, for their customer. They chose not to. World VW will ignore you, disrespect you and lie to you. They are just like every other low class dealership, but very unlike most VW shops. It is sad that they represent a brand that I love so much. Avoid World VW, or shame on you. PS - World VWs Doc and Title fee are twice as much as the NJ average! Youll pay an extra $500, unless they fool you into spending another $400 on window etching.Great Dealership

Salesman had very little product knowledge (I knew more than he did, albeit I am a VW buff) and wasn't the nicest to… deal with. When I decided to talk to financing, I left his office with the unsettling feeling of not wanting to buy a car at all. He was on a high horse and seemed to be incoherent as well. I inquired at SHREWSBURY VW where I was treated exceptionally well, as a valued customer, got a decent price and great finance rates. They really WORKED for my sale and deserve all of my business in the future. I will be writing a great review for them. Don't buy from world VW! (at least in Neptune, never been to Toms River yet) Shrewsbury will cater to you and work for you.Good Buying Experience

I found a few certified vehicles at Toyota dealerships and one that was offered through World Volkswagen in Neptune, NJ. I first… contacted the World VW internet sales department by phone and got somewhat confused answers to my questions. I decided to drive two hours from my home near Philly to check out and test drive the car. When I arrived at World VW I was greeted by Bob M. who is a seasoned sales professional. Bob had the car ready for a test drive and allowed me to do a thorough check of the vehicle. The car and its condition was accurately described in their on-line ad. He answered my questions and concerns about the vehicle to my satisfaction. When it came time to negotiate for the car, Bob and Justin S. were reasonable and not pushy or overbearing. They listened to my offer and responded in a reasonable way. World VWs requirement of a glass etch fee was the only part of the deal that was of questionable value. We eventually struck a reasonable deal that was fair for everyone. When I picked up the car, all of the paperwork was properly prepared by Dave M. and the car was ready to go as promised. After receiving the official NJ vehicle title via FedEx about 1 week later, I transferred title to PA and the car passed PA inspection with flying colors. Over the years I have purchased many different new and pre-owned vehicles and have endured the high-pressure sales practices and shady deals of many dealers. I can honestly say that my dealing with the folks at World VW was completely different and was one of my best car buying experiences. These folks are straight-shooters who treat the customer with respect. I would recommend this dealership.
