    Turns out I was misled/lied to by Carey. When I asked the dealership to get out of my deal because one of the features listed on the window sticker doesn't work in the U.S. they denied responsibility and told me to contact the corporate office. The corporate office told me to deal with the dealership. It's upsetting to be treated that way after 20 years. Carey and Jaime, The sales manager wouldn't acknowledge responsibly and they would not let me talk to the owner, John L, who I have also known for 20 years. Do not work with this dealership. They do not stand behind their word, they are dishonest and they have no sense of loyalty to a long time customer.

    extremely professional and competent, Jimmy was extremely wonderful. renovations were phenomenal to the building. Jimmy is a quintessential professional and the reason I go through douglas for all my service and business.

    I've been buying cars from Douglas for over twenty years. This is the second I bought from my sales rep Carey. The whole experience was a pleasure. They gave me a great deal on my trade in and put me in the exact car that I wanted.

    I came in a while back and Alexis handled my concern promptly. My car was in for a brake concern which turned out to be nothing big but I appreciated her taking my car in before a long road trip I was going to be taking. Just came back and my car is perfect after the long drive. I highly recommend Douglas. The whole crew is great!

    I highly recommend Douglas Infiniti for sales and service! I continue to buy there because of the service department. Alexis is pleasant to work with an asset to the company. I have also recommended friends and family who have also had a good experience with Alexis and the whole team.

    Got off to a rocky start with negotiations back and forth, but when we got to the bottom line, I had an offer than no other dealer could touch...even the dealer I got my last Infiniti from. They nicked me for a couple small options, but I still feel I was ahead of the game. Sales associate was not "loveable" but who cares ? He's not marrying my daughter and I probably won't see him again.

    I would like to share with you how I dissatisfied with Douglas Infiniti dealer in Summit, NJ. Before christmas last year, I went to Douglas Infiniti to lease FX35 AWD. They quoted me a price for $510 per month 24months lease, 24000 miles and out pocket $2500 for Touring, Technology, Handsfree package with chrome pillars included. I was looking for Black(outside)/wheat(inside) color combination. They told me that they did not have this color in stock, but they would get one for me either from another dealer or worst case put a new order to Infiniti factory. In that case, the car would be delivered latest Jan 15. The dealer told me that if I deposited $1000, he said he could lock the lease rate $510. I gave a deposit and signed the preliminary contract. During next two three weeks after the sales person Ray Pierce never made a one single phone call to me about the status of the car. Each time, I kept calling the sales person to ask whether they locate the car locally or not. After two-three phone calls I made they told me that they could not locate a car for me locally. It was very annoying the sales person seem like he did not care to call me to give the updated info about the car. Finally, I called the sales manager, he told me that sarcastically, it would be better for them if I don't pick up the car because he is loosing money on the deal. He sounded like he was joking but anyway, he said the car should arrive the dealer to mid January. I waited until mid january, until that time the sales person still did not call me at all. I kept calling them asking what is the status of the car. On January 18th, he told me the car came to Newark port. They could not get proper paperwork to be completed by custom. He promised the 3rd week of January, the car should be delivered to me. The car never delivered to the dealer until Feb. 15th. During this time, I had to call the sales person each time to ask him what is going on. He kept telling me that he could not control the custom. Finally, he called me that I should call my insurance company give them the vin # of the car and get car insured before pick up. I did called them and took care of it. The day of the delivery, the sales person called me back and told me that we have a problem. He said we couldn't able to give the $510 anymore, he said the current program changed and he could not able to hold same price anymore. I reminded him that when I gave him deposit, he told me that he could lock that rate. He said it took way too long to deliver this car and the new program could not allow him to give same rate. I told him "This is not my problem". I wanted to have my car right away at christmas time not two months later with way too higher rate. He said he could not do anything else "take it or leave it". I asked is this the way Infiniti value their customers???. He answered when it comes to number he could not do it. I understand that all comes downs to numbers basically the circumstances what the customer goes through does not matter. I waited almost two months for nothing. I had huge disappointment with this dealer. The sales person was annoying the promises that he made, he could not make it. He did not even apologize about the situation. They need to understand what is the customer value? They had no idea, they only look at numbers $$$$. I took my deposit back. Never go this dealer again.
    • The circumstances on this review are not the norm. Lease programs have a 30 day window form the original approval date to hold a payment. In this circumstance the customer wanted a specific color combination that was not currently available. A second color choice was requested but the customer only wanted what he wanted.The order was placed on 12/29/07. No cars could be found anywhere in the northeast in the color requested by the customer . A car was found that was shipped from Japan and was at sea. The customer was called and informed about this availability. The anticipated due date was 1/15 . The vehicle in question as it turns out was part of a multi-ship sailing due into port at the same time,which clogged the port processing and customs processing for several weeks, all beyond the control of the Dealership . During the process the customer was updated as circumstances changed. Finally the vehicle did arrive at the begining of February and the customer was notified. At no fault of the Dealership the original program could not be maintained and the customer was notified by phone,prior to setting up a delivery, of this change. The lease payment was reconfigured at a net loss to ease part of the program change ,but it was not sufficient to satisfy the customer,and his deposit was refunded immediately.Unfortunate situation that we wish could have been avoided .

    • Another dealership making excuse after excuse for their lousy customer service; I've had problems with dealers just like you taking a deposit and not calling me on a update on looking for my vehicle locally or if it has to be ordered; you can take the money quick enough and then don't even bother with common customer service by giving a weekly call telling the customer what is going on; at least you refunded the deposit; most of you take the deposit and then say its non-refundable in order to screw the customer over and be stuck taking something off your lot

    During my initial research stages in my car buying attempts, I came upon an associate from Infiniti Douglas, via email. The original email was very attractive with very competitive pricing. However, when i began to ask more detailed questions, like MSRP, IFS factor, and money factor data, this individual became very abrasive. Stating that "any further information can be discussed in person. First off, who's the customer here. I am! So I decide where and how we communicate. After i responded with a message thanking them for their time, and informing them i would take my business else where, this individual showed their true colors becoming very unprofessional with comments like "so you were basically using me to justify your purchase elsewhere?! ". Clearly this person does not have much experience in the luxury car market, and is best suited for the used car market. To be fair this was a very brief experience, and might not reflect the true quality of this dealership. However, I strongly recommend caution when negotiating with this dealership. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, and will be going else where for my needs.

    I never get a chance to write a review but this time, I felt it was necessary. I brought my car in and I was a little freaked out. Alexis and the service team really took care of me. Alexis walked me through every detail and was so patient with me. I had a million questions and she took time to answer every one! Thanks Douglas

    We were looking for Infiniti JX35. We had done all the research, test driving and had gotten preliminary quotes from nearby dealers. Just to see their price points, we visit them on a Wednesday evening and within 30min, they had agreed to our requirements and beaten the competitors price-quotes that we had with us. We were sold ! And the car (with the color and interior of our choice) was delivered on Saturday morning, per our request. Ask for Alan , he provided excellent service and was a thorough professional .

    I need to get a new car, and my husband said try Douglas Infiniti, so I called and i got Carey J.,one of their sales professionals. He was great, I told him what I was looking for, what I wanted to pay and what I would like in the car. He did even better that I expected, my car is not only beautiful, but loaded and my payment is even less than I expected. This is an awesome deal! I will definitely go back for the next car and recommend him to any friend or acqaintance looking for a new or used car. I am tryly a Happy Customer.

    Douglas is the only place I service my cars. Alexis M has been my row and I can always count on her help. For the most part, my Infinitys are worry free but when I have any problem, I call Alexis and bring my car right in or she has even walked me though stuff over the phone. Easy service and that's why I continue to be a customer

    " I just bought a 2011 G37 from Douglas. I always shop for my cars online, and their response was prompt and detailed. I dealt with AJ Lamb for 90% of my transaction and want to give credit where credit is due. I never bought a car from Douglas before, I always went to my local dealer. Honestly my inquiry to Douglas was just to make sure I was getting a good deal locally. AJ could not have been more adamant about earning my business. He was not too pushy but he was very persistent about what it would take to make me switch dealers. He really knocked my socks off with something he said, and I'm pasting it from his email. "We all own our vehicles for the exact same amount and I have no interest in losing your business over a few hundred dollars. What will it take to stop your shopping and bring you to Douglas?" My usual experience as an Internet shopper has been chasing salesmen for calls back, leaving unreturned messages ect. We've all been there. Douglas is really a different type of store. I worked most of my deal over the phone. When I got there I was surprised to see how young AJ was considering our telephone conversations. And his shoes were terrible. But other than that everything was exactly what we agreed to on the phone. At this point I was handed off to Steve. I don't remember his last name. He completed my paper work and showed me my car top to bottom. I went in expecting the usual car buying battle and left relaxed and with a smile. Thank you AJ, Steve and Douglas Infiniti for a great buying experience. I have not serviced with them yet but will post again when I do."

    I Bought a brand new 2010 Infiniti FX-35 from Aaron Goodwin in December 2010. Aaron was very professional, polite and gave me a great deal. Ed English appraised my trade and also was great to deal with. I financed my car at Douglas Infiniti with Jamie Fishbane, Douglas finance manager. Jamie found me an even better rate than my own preferred bank rate that I had. I have bought BMW, Acura and Infiniti vehicles over past 25 years and this was by far my most pleasant car buying experience ever. I will definitely buy another car from these great people at Douglas Infiniti. PS. the FX-35 is a great car too.

    i've been a loyal customer for over 5 yrs now. i used to bring my qx4 to local shops - thinking i'd save a few $$. but not only did the local auto body shops take forever, they'd often mis-diagnose & the cost would be greater than any dealership in the end. since going to douglas, my car is ALWAYS diagnosed properly AND quickly. i am happy i brought my car in this last time around, because they spotted issues with my muffler & a couple of other unknowns. without their expertise, i would have been stranded on one of my long drives after my car broke down. so not only was the turnaround quick - as usual, but any & all issues were fixed. for surprisingly reasonable prices. alexsis, in service, is fantastic. very professional, accommodative, & informed. i remain a loyal customer. -adam b

    We had another great experience with Douglas Infiniti. They continue to provide excellent customer service. We recently leased a new vehicle, working with Gil Coronado. Gil was very professional and extremely knowledgeable of the M and G series we were contemplating. He worked with us to provide a great price that fit in our budget. We definitely recommend Gil and the entire Douglas Infiniti team.

    While shopping for a G37x I priced out every dealer in New Jersey. I don't live local to Douglas Infiniti but I sent in a price request anyway. I recieved an email and a phone call right after my price inquiry. The representative on the phone asked me questions about the car and how I would like it configured. He told me he would build the vehicle and check the availability of it. Less then an hour later I got a call back with a price. I couldn't get to the dealership for several days but the told me it wouldn't be a problem. When I got there (almost a week later) my G37x was waiting for me. I met my salesmen Gill. He was helpfull and very patient with me as he went over the vehicle from top to bottom. The paper work on the car was exactly what was described to me over the telephone and I would recomend Douglas Infiniti to anyone looking for a new Vehicle.

    I recently purchased an FX from Douglas Infiniti and I couldn't be happier. This is my second purchase from this dealer. The salesperson that I worked with (Aaron) was helpful, honest and knowledgeable of the car we were purchasing. I know the service department from my last purchase and they have done good work for me, providing a loaner car while servicing was going on.

    Had a wonderful experance purchasing a QX60 at Douglas Infiniti. My Sales consultant Ray P. was great, explaining everything to me about the car. We worked out a good purchase price and I now have a QX60 that I love in my drive way. Thank you Douglas Infiniti, and thank you Ray for making my purchase easy.
