I worked with Lora Moore and she really took her time going over the… 2017 MDX with me and made the whole process enjoyable. Jaime Borja went over my paperwork with me and once again took his time, explaining my paperwork and I did end up taking some of the additional protection for my new MDX. They have a great team and everyone was extremely nice to work with.Always great experience~! There's a reason why I came back.

Harry from DCH has provided hassle free experience with great recommendations where I was able to… purchase brand new RDX with best pricing that any dealer can provide. Before going to DCH, I have stopped by other dealer near my house but it was not the same experience that I have received from Harry. (I should have just went straight to DCH.) It was definitely worth the drive to go to DCH. With Harry's professional expertise, whole car purchasing experience was like a breeze. And we were able to see a new NSX as a bonus~! As it turns out, Harry is only one of the two professionals that can sell NSX in the dealer. That shows how much experience Harry has in the field. Without hesitation, I highly recommend to go see Harry if you are planning to purchase your next Acura.Excellent Service

Annabel assisted me in the car buying process and I have to say it was the most stress free buying experience. Not… once did I feel rushed into something or feel as if i had to have on a pokerface. Hamad finalized the paperwork and he also took the time to talk about my finance options without me feeling lost. I would definitely recommend this dealer to family & friends.DONT EVER VIST THIS DEALER

They were unprofessional and unethical in every way possible. They asked me to visit the dealer after confirming the car… they have and once I went there, they said they have the car and then after 2 minutes the sale person comes with his manager and gives me the pricing for some other car and misleads and the experience was unbelievably worst i have ever imagined.Finest Kind!
by Con0375 on 09/23/2016Shopping for a replacement car on short notice can be a daunting and tedious task. We spent a day out with my son looking for a solid and reliable car with low mileage and a manual transmission car, oh... and also at a reasonable price.… This is kind of akin to panning for gold; it's a lot of work and most days you come up empty. You also come up against a percentage of dealerships that waste your time, or just make you feel uncomfortable with their sales tactics. We were happy that we landed at DCH Acura along the way. We stopped into DCH Acura because it is a local dealership that happened to be on our route, and was also a place that we had comfortably shopped at for another used vehicle a few years ago, but had not purchased from. At that time we purchased a car at DCH Audi in Maplewood, where we had a very good experience. We were greeted by and attended to by Keith Mickens. Keith is the type of salesperson that I enjoy working with. He is helpful and informative without being the least bit pushy. Keith took us for a test ride without dictating a route, and let us experience the feel and ride of the car rather than trying to sell it to us. Keith offered some history on the car, which gave my family a better comfort level, and shared his knowledge of some of the features that we would not have known about. At the end of our ride, Keith offered additional information on the maintenance that was performed by the dealership once the car came in off of lease, and gave us a list of those items. The next morning Keith called my son to thank us for coming in and to offer us another test ride. We were deciding between two cars at two different dealerships, and decided to go back to DCH first, because it was really where we felt most valued as customers, and because my son really liked the car. We never made it to the second dealership. Keith gave us the keys to have the car inspected at a local mechanic, which took all of thirty minutes. We came to terms with DCH for the purchase of the 2013 Honda Accord Coupe and got a competitive rate on financing through the dealership with US Bank. The finance manager, Jaime, was efficient and informative. He searched a bit to find us a rate that we were happy with, and completed the paperwork like a pro. The dealership seems to be well managed and consumer centric, and is staffed by helpful and friendly people. While waiting for the car to be detailed, we were attempting to remove the plates from our trade-in. A mechanic, who was obviously on break, saw us and immediately came over to remove the plates for us. Several staffers asked us if we were being helped, and offered us water and snacks. We felt welcome and well-cared for throughout the dealership during our entire time there. We drove away feeling that we had been treated well, that our time was valued, and that we got a terrific car and a fair deal with absolutely no pressure. Our experience at DCH Acura has opened our eyes to the Acura brand, and has turned our heads in the direction of Acura as a possible choice for our next new car purchase.Great lease experience

It was surprisingly pleasant and culminating with leasing the vehicle I wanted at a great price. This is my second lease there, and it just keeps getting… better! by Ggb1945 on 10/28/2015I didn't want to drive from NYC to NJ unless I knew that I would be able to get the Acura MDX I wanted at the "right price". I was able to get a price on the phone and, although the dealer did not have the color I wanted, they called me… back about an hour later and told me they found exactly the car I wanted and I could pick it up the next day. The paperwork was completed at the dealership very quickly and there were no last minute surprises. The sales team, especially Harry Jones, made the process quick and painless. And the money I saved made the trip to NJ worth the time, gas and tolls.Great Experience!

I felt very welcomed at this dealership and it would definitely be my first choice… for any future car purchases I consider. The new car sales manager, Robert Westervelt, was a pleasure to deal with and he got me a great deal on my new TLX, beating two offers from another dealership.Another Great Experience!

The DCH Montclair sales team makes you feel comfortable. They give fair… pricing without pressuring you to make a decision now. More importantly, they work their financial institution relationships and leverage to get you the best deal. For my latest car, I worked with Keith for about a month looking for a pre-owned car that fit my budget. He consistently followed up as cars became available. I appreciated his professionalism and courtesy. Ultimately, Keith and the finance team put together a lease deal for a new car that was more affordable than purchasing a pre-owned! After speaking with Colleen Amirr on the phone, I knew I was going to have a great experience buying a new… Acura MDX. Harry Jones did an excellent job assisting with getting some of the paper work done ahead of time. On the day of the purchase, I worked with Don Nardone. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. He also took the time to explain all of the options in the car before I drove off the lot. The overall experience exceeded my expectations in price, quality and service. I am definitely recommending this dealership to my friends and family. He will only recommend the accessories that make sense, not the ones that make… the dealership the most money. He will follow up after the sale to make sure everything is as expected and will let you know when you can get the best deal on a particular car.Thank you very much

It was a fun car and thank you Acura for bringing it back under the ILX badge. The purchasing experience through… Jose was top notch. You would not find similar service anywhere else. Jose is also a resourceful gentleman. He went over all details related to the ILX 6 speed. In addition, the team at DCH Montclair went out of their way to find the exact color I wanted. by zombo on 07/25/2010First they wouldn't allow the test drive to go to a nearby highway , restricting the test drive to 25 mph stoplight to stoplight traffic on Bloomfield Avenue . Who test drives a car like that ? Then they offered 3K less for my trade in… than I received 18 months later when I finally did buy a new car at a real car dealer not looking to rip customers off . I'd stay far away from this place . And never give them your email address as it's nigh impossible to get off their mailing list no matter how many times you click on the link to opt out !Very poor quality service by ignorant staff
by firewalls on 06/20/2010I recently moved to NJ and was looking for a dealership my TSX 2008 service. I ended up with DCH Montclair Acura. Their prices are a little lower than others but the quality is worse. After every service there was some other problem. It… never felt like the service was done properly. The put in new rear break pads 4 months ago which squeek till today. They repaired one tire 4 months ago which they claim had a nail in it .... and its not fixed. I have to keep checking air pressure and keep it maintained. My advice, do not go to this dealership, their service is fake. I don't think they even have genuine Acura parts.Rude and unskilled sales associate
by diagpope on 05/24/2010I had an appointment to test drive a pre-owned 2008 TSX stock #MAR0618. The car was being detailed when we arrived. The outside of the car was in fair shape and it required a paint job including dent removal: The hood had acid damage… (paint missing) from bird droppings. The driver seat showed excessive wear. The driver side power window was not functional due to removal of the tint and residue of glue. A few question I asked the sales person in regards to the differences between a 2005 vs 2008 TSX during the test drive he could not answer them or gave the wrong one. Overall Salesman Barry Katz made the impression to me and my friend that he did not want to sell the car to me. Statements like "then you have to continue looking for other cars" and "it will be sold to someone else who is not as picky." or "I would have not bought the car back myself" etc. made us feel not very welcome at all. My 2 cents: I a dealer feels uncomfortable showing a car then please make it certified before you allow viewing and driving it. I have not been pleased with the treatment at this dealership. Especially Barry Katz was rude and unprofessional. I do not consider coming back or referring this place of business although I have been satisfied with the service of Colleen (internet sales) as well as the front desk's being polite and responsive. So I wrote a complaint and this what happened. One day later on the sale manager Harry Jones called: "Hi xxx, This is Harry Jones, sales manager over at Montclair Acura where you stopped by last night to drive a manual TSX. I'm just calling to apologize for my sales person, sometimes he does have a bit too much of a conscience. Just call me back. We are sending that car to the shop and it should be done in about 4-5 days. I just want to know if you or interested in seeing the car again once we hopefully get it back in decent shape, so my direct line is (xxx) xxx-xxxx I'll be here til 6 o'clock tonight. Look forward hearing from you. Bye bye" In fact I called him back twice that week but never received a response. Therefore I believe that imperfection doing business runs in that dealership. Of course I would have listened to him explaining a reason why his sales man was so rude and I actually considered looking at it again as a new starting point for negotiation but obviously they do not need my business. In the past years I have been visiting at least 20 dealerships in the tri state area and this one was giving me the worst feeling of all.Great car buying experience!
by norwun on 02/06/2010Having shopped around for the past 4 months for a 2007 RDX with Tech Pkg, I've had the displeasure of dealing with several dealerships either by email or walk-in. I've experienced bait and switch, vague price quotes, hidden fees, lack of… response, and plain overpricing. They just want to get you into the dealership so they can apply the sales pressure. Dealing with Paul Dujets, the Internet Manager was truly a refreshing experience. No gimmicks, no sales pressure. Just straight up honest dealing. He was the only salesperson that willingly laid out the price plus all out the door fees right off the bat. We hashed out a price in just two emails and he patiently answered all my little questions via email. I picked up the car the following day and again he patiently showed us the car, went through the necessary paper work and later showed us all the features and how to use them. We also dealt with Jeff Torres for the financial part. Again, a very nice experience. No pressure to buy any optional features even though it was his job to go through them. I highly recommend doing the research yourself so that you as the consumer know what you want and dealing with a good Internet Sales Manager such as Paul. Avoid the hassle of the walk-in and dealing with commission based salesmen who try to get you to overpay. Overall a wonderful experience, this is how car buying should be. Don't waste your time getting a better quote from any other Acura dealer in the NYC/NJ area. DCH Montclair by far beat out everyone else in terms of price and customer service.great service

She was fast and efficent and extermely professional. The price she gave… me when we first sat down a few months ago was the price she sold me the car for. She didn't change the offer and was true to her word. She even delivered the car to me. I had a great experience and would definitely go back and purchase another vehicle from Kim and Monticlair Acura.Very unfair sales practices...
by nnjguy on 11/18/2009I had purchased a 2010 Acura RDX from Kim Mellage. After having the car for 2 days I decided the car was not for me. I hated almost everything about it. I returned the car and asked to purchase a leftover 2009 MDX instead. Kim and the… manager agreed but decided that in addition to several fees such as delivery fees, documentation fees, etc that I should also still pay for half of the approx. $1,700 worth of accessories I had purchased on the brand new 2010 RDX that they were going to turn around and sell again. I had no choice. It was either be stuck with an SUV you do not like or pay what they want to get into a vehicle you like and are comfortable driving. I am a loyal Acura customer and had just sold my 2004 MDX for this new vehicle. This is my fourth brand new Acura purchase. This is partly why I am so put off. They reward customer loyalty with unfair and deceptive sales practices. And as if putting a premium price on the leftover MDX wasn't enough they had the gall to only refund me fifty cents on the dollar for brand new accessories that barely had dust on them. And to and insult to injury, when I asked if I could just keep the RDX all-weather mats that I had already paid for, since they were only refunding me half and planning on selling for full price, they told me only if I paid $50 for them!!! Can you believe that??? They wanted to charge me $50 for all-weather floor mats that I had already paid full price for??? Now I realize I was completely at their mercy and it was my fault for not being 100% completely sure about the suv I ahd purchased, but fair is fair. I was totally taken advantage of and there was nothing I could do about it. They saw an opportunity to take advantage of a mistake that I made and profit off of that mistake. Even after thry extorted all of that money from me they wouldn't even get me the 2009 leftover MDX in the color I wanted. They wouldn't trade what another dealership wanted for the color MDX I wanted. They didn't give a crap at that point, they had my money and I had no leverage at all and they took full advantage. Christmas came early this year for Kim Mellage, the sales associate and Harry Jones, the sales manager. Acura should be ashamed of having people like this in their showrooms. I have reported them both to the better business bureau and Acura Headquarters and the matter is currently under investigation by both parties. I will keep you up to date with the results of the investigations. Do yourself a favor and avoid DCH Monclair Acura if you are in the market for a new Acura. It's not worth the stress and the money$$$.These comments are in response to Peter Dalys recent alleged mishandling of a sales transaction. We feel Mr Daly is distorting the facts, leaving important information out and attempting to get money from the dealership which he is not entitled to. They immediately provided me a categorized sales price w/ all the detailed information regarding TTL, trade-in value, Doc fees etc. So, I made an appointment, test drove and signed… the contract. This was one of the most stress-free deals I ever experienced in car buying!! I was treated w/ RESPECT through out the visit and no hassle, no extra fees, no aggressive sales rep and even got a better deal than the originally agreed deal.
