I had a car picked out from a flyer of a sale Power Ford was having. That car unfortunately was sold out. Stephanie helped me find one extremely similar in the same price range. Everyone I spoke with was personable, honest, and delightful.
  • Service at its best

Larry S was fantastic. I babbled on making funny car noises trying to explain to him what was wrong with the truck and he knew exactly what I was talking about! So polite and gave me constant updates. Power Ford was fast, explained everything really well. The facility was very nice. Normally I hated taking my truck in, but this was a really great experience and I won't use anyone else.

Usually shy away from dealerships but have had good experience here. Service Advisor, Ben G has a nice style and easy. I trust that he will personally check the vehicle and not just be an order-taker. Follow-up and I know that the job, no matter how small, will be taken care of or made right. Handles questions well and you never feel that he just wants to move you on. Nice to have that confidence. And it even shows up in the Courtesy Shuttle. Kudos to Robert for pleasant and interesting rides.

My experience with the service department of the dealer is that they are more interested in cycling cars in and out with as little work performed as possible. They spent more time trying to convince me the issue I had with a newly purchased car was not really there, until I took them for a drive and showed them what I experienced, even then, they gave me back the car saying it was fixed when it clearly was not. The issue actually was worse after they worked on it then it was before. Given that I bought the car there and any lemon law returns needs to go through them, I'm letting them continue to work it, but I have no confidence they will fix my problem... Oh, and I am not one of those people who just needs to complain, when the car seats shake next to you and the plastic modeling in the car actually rattles, then there's a real problem.

Power Ford is the only dealer I have my vehicles serviced at. They have never told me I needed something done, other than what I have taken in my vehicles for, as some other non-Ford service departments have tried, i.e., "You need a major tune-up, new brakes, wheel bearings rattle, etc". What I do appreciate is the free diagnostic testing whenever I am in for service. This gives true meaning to a dealer who is all about treating the customer as a friend. Without doubt, I would recommend Power Ford for service to anyone.

In the past I had received rude treatment from service reps at Turner's Ford. I had sworn to never go back to this Ford service department again. Rich and Ben at the Quicklane convinced me in to give it another try and work through Larry. Larry changed my mind! He spoke to me respectfully, not treating me like I was car stupid while explaining what was wrong with our SUV. He kept me well informed of the progress being made on the repairs. The service was amazing! The SUV is running better with all of our concerns addressed. I now will not hesitate to bring our Ford and our newly acquired Lincoln to Power Ford. Larry won us back over!

Probably a typical high-pressure high-volume dealer. My point is: What is in it for me to deal with people like this? Just buy the same car from the low-key dealer, Chalmers. The dealers each have access to the same inventory all over the region. I knew full well the selling price of the car. Its the internet age, after all. I had business in the big city and dropped by because they were close to the freeway. They happened to have a couple of vehicles that matched exactly what I wanted. I took a short test drive, went home, doubled checked the price, called the salesman and offered what I knew to be the actual price. Salesman said OK. I made it clear that as I lived out of town, the price would have to be the price. I even faxed a confirming cover letter with the terms of the proposed sale. I told them to call me if it wasn't acceptable. I specifically mentioned "doc fees" as a kind of extra cost I would not pay. Of course, when I showed up they told me that their absurd doc fees were non-negotiable. One sleazy tactic after another followed for three hours. Then they finally gave up and sold me the car at the agreed upon price. I recognize that the high-pressure style works. I knew what a high-pressure operation the dealer was, going in. I expected them to take a run at me. On the other hand, I'm a professional in his mid-fifties and I also expected them to back off pretty fast and get down to business. If I had it to do over, I would have test driven the car they financed to have in their inventory, then gone home and and bought it from my local dealer. P.S. Bob Turner himself happened to be there (before things headed south). He was a very pleasant, charismatic, tall old guy. I enjoyed meeting him.
