by edhcpa on 05/12/2009On Saturday, May 9, 2009 and again today, Tuesday, May 12, 2209, I tried to do business with this dealer but the low level, low class, high pressure sales tactics, the sorry salesman constantly running to the back room needing to get his… manager's input, sprinkled with flagrantly obvious and insulting attempts to manipulate price was extremely annoying and turned me off, making the entire process of buying a car from this dealer a rather unpleasant experience. I walked out and will never return Bronx Honda. I'm hoping to get my $500 deposit back, we'll see. If it doesn't arrive by the end of next week I intend to file a formal complaint via my attorney.Bronx Honda is to avoided!!
by ceecee2 on 03/18/2009I went to Bronx Honda in the Pelham area of the Bronx to buy a brand new Honda Civic. Mr. A. Indar came up to me and offered to help me. He then showed me a 2009 Honda civic which he stated would be offered to me at a special interest of… 3.9% for those with Tier 1 credit, which I had. While the manager got together the paperwork for the loan of the car, Mr. Indar offered to help me insure the car and get the it registered for a small fee. As I was about to sign the paper for the loan, I noticed that the interest offered was much higher (11%) than what we had originally signed on a preliminary contract. Because I knew that I had stellar credit, and should not be getting an interest four times the normal rate, I refused to sign the paper for the loan or anything to do with the transaction. He them stated that if I did not sign the documents for the high interest loan, he would not remove the car from my insurance policy unless I gave him five hundred dollars. Eventually I went to the DMV to see if he had actually registered the car in my name, but found that the car was not registered but that he was lying and it was all a scam.BEWARE OF THIS LYING DEALER!
by crogrk on 10/21/2008Don't even bother making the trip to this dealer! They're [violative content deleted] that don't stand behind their word -- or signed agreement for that matter. I went to purchase a 2008 CR-V from this place and was quoted a price of… $21,470 over the phone for an CR-V EX 4WD. I spoke with the manager who said to come in and they'd 'take care of us'. First, they gave us the runaround about the colors available and then they tried to back out of the price agreed saying they quoted us a price based on a 2WD. When we finally got the original agreed upon price, we were told that Honda wasn't offering any special financing on CR-V's, when in fact they were. The salesman even tried to get us to back out of the deal saying they didn't have our color, when in fact they did. The salesman then proceeded to call us the next day that they couldn't honor the price agreed upon and would be returning our deposit check. We spoke with the manager who reluctantly agreed to our deal, but we decided to take our business elsewhere when we learned, once again, that yet another color they promised was not available. I[violative content deleted]. BOTTOM LINE -- these dealerships need you more than you need them. If they're not accomodating your needs, take your hard earned $$ somewhere else. AVOID THIS DEALER AT ALL COSTS -- THERE ARE PLENTY OTHERS OUT THERE!!!!!typical scam
by sethwoman on 01/25/2008I went into Bronx Honda to test drive a fit. The salesperson, Alex, was not the friendliest guy but not terrible either. After the ride we sat down to talk price. To make a long story short, their final offer was off by 150$. Close but… not good enough. I ignored several statements to me about how the offer was good for that day only, and left. Of course the next day I get a call from Jeannie saying that they will offer me the car at my price $150 off their out the door price. I go there the next day, and of course they say they cant do it etc. Jeannie is no where to be found, etc. Don't waste your time with this dealership. There is a lot of competition out there and you are better off working with someone who won't yank you around.MY 2014 Honda Accord
by jamescarter on 11/26/2013updated 04/27/2025I did my reach before I went to the dealership. When I went to Bronx Honda I met with Peter S. I gave him my price which was much less than the invoice price that was listed on Edmonds. I knew about additional incentives. I was not… expecting the dealership to sell a new 2014 for my asking price, but to my surprise I was on the road in my new car in less than 45 minutes! I got my price, color, options and great service. I highly recommend Bronx Honda and my salesman Peter.James, Thanks for the 5 star review! We appreciate that you took the time to share your positive experience with us. We are glad to have met your requests and we appreciate the future recommendations as well. We will pass along your kind words in this review to Peter. Have a wonderful day!
The Worse dealer
by axhelsiz on 04/16/2011updated 04/27/2025They are a scam!!! I put a down payment to reserve the car that i chose and just have to come back cause insurance won't start till the other day. I received a call from them and they stated they sold the car to somebody else... what a… [violative content deleted]! THey are a scam... They can't even give me my $3000 dollars of down payment. They are a scam!!! Don't ever ever ever buy from Bronx Honda! Worse even is a kind word to discribe them. Worse to describe them is an understatement. JBStay away!
by garcia82 on 04/14/2013updated 04/27/2025My family and I walked into this dealership around 5-5:30 p.m. on Saturday 4/13. We looked around at 2-3 cars inside the dealership and outside. NO ONE came up to ask us for help. About 15-20 minutes being there we decided to go to the… receptionist desk (no receptionist there). One guy came up to us ask if we needed help and he was going to get someone for us. He asked an Asian salesman that was not busy to help us, the salesmen said no! (WOW NO to a possible sale) We finally got someone to help us out, the salesmen name was Carlos who seemed to be ok but....... As we talked more we told him we were just looking to get a number on a car as we are still shopping around and not sure what we want to do yet. He asked us a few questions, like how much we are paying for our car now, then called up Honda to get the pay off (why he called them, I'm not sure as our current car is a lease and going back the next month). I told him again we just want "ball park numbers" because we did not want to run any credit. At this point he seemed to get upset and told me we don't do "ball park numbers" we give the right numbers and said we are about to close I'm doing you a favor! WOW doing us a favor I think not!!! He went to the "back room" and in less than two minutes he came back and said the price I can do is "$$$" just a "ball park number" (keep in mind the number he gave us was the same number we are paying now on a base car and we were looking at a somewhat fully loaded car). This sales guy was [non-permissible content removed]. I sold cars for many years myself and I will never treat someone like I'm doing them a favor!! I guess they forget that customers make their paycheck! With all this said, we will be going to the next dealership! Stay away from this dealership, I am 100% sure you'll get better service elsewhere! We apologize for your less than satisfactory experience at our dealership. We view honest and constructive opinions as an opportunity for improvement. We can assure you that the situation you've described is an isolated incident. We take pride in making sure that we provide the best service for people looking to get a new vehicle. We will be looking further into this review. No hassles No gimmicks
by jerick on 11/26/2013updated 04/27/2025If you want a stress-free experience on buying a car, go to Bronx Honda. Me and my wife were looking for a good deal for a new car and we got it at Bronx Honda. We got the best price (we knew because we've been to a lot of dealership) and… no hassle transaction. The service was excellent. I even called the agent 3 weeks after we bought our car to ask for help about the car and i called him at 8pm and I guess that was Sunday. If that's not excellent service, I don't know what is. They helped us get a good insurance rate too. Not to mention the free coffee and free first change oil service. Don't forget to look for Alex A., best agent you'll get. He helps you with your questions about the car almost 24/7 even after you purchased the car. Best experience we had on buying a car. Thanks for the 5 star review! It makes us happy to hear that you and your wife are satisfied with your new vehicle. We aim to go above and beyond our costumers’ expectations to ensure that they receive excellent service for their new car. We will pass along the kind words in your review to Alex. Please contact us if you ever have any questions in the future. Have a great day!
Very Happy with Bronx Honda
by rhsrealty on 05/02/2012updated 04/27/2025I contacted Bronx Honda from Arizona prior to my return to NY. They were very responsive to my questions and concerns, quoted me a very fair price and got me the car and features that I requested. When I came to pickup the car I bought a… service contract for 8 years and 100,000 miles because I was concerned about all of the electronics that could cause a problem. The salesman spent almost 2 hours with me and my wife showing us all of the features and setting up our cell phones with the Blue Tooth. Everyone was very friendly and service oriented. I felt that I was a valued customer. I have already recommended Bronx Honda to several friendsPoor custumer services
by duranet on 08/22/2011updated 04/27/2025I walked around for 30 minutes, no one was available to talk to me. I opened cars and slammed doors. They didn't even look at me. I could of hot wired the car and they wouldn't care.Made an account just to warn people
by lolo11 on 08/18/2012updated 04/27/2025These people are [non-permissible content removed]. They quoted me for $1450 less than what they financed me for. As careful as I thought I was in respect to reading the contract I missed that. I caught when they tired to add a $3000 honda… care package, without me authorizing it, and promptly had it removed. I should have walked away after that ploy but I, unfortunately did not. I really wish I had done more research on this particular dealer online instead of relying on a friends recommendation. They are the worst rated Honda dealer within 30 miles of my home. I tired to get the dealership to fix it but since they already got my money I was meet with the rudest service I have ever received in my life but I guess once they have their money they don't care to do anything about it. I contacted American Honda about this and there response was "the dealer doesn't feel they over charged you" and that "they can not do anything for me". When I told the American Honda rep that I would gladly fax over copies of my bill of sale and financing contract to show the discrepancy but he basically brushed me off and said that American Honda can not do anything about it and to contact my state attorney general and better business bureau. I spent over a week waiting for corporate to do their "research" and the response I get is that Bronx Honda doesn't FEEL they over charged me and to contact a government agency instead. Where is the accountability from American Honda? I've shown my contract to 8 people and had them sit down with a calculator and everyone comes to the same conclusion : there is a $1450 overcharge. This was my first time buying a car and it has taken away from the joy of owning it. I naively thought that I wouldn't get screwed if I went to a franchised dealership but I was obviously wrong. In hindsight I should have researched more, waited until my brother in law had free time to go with me and gone with a different car manufacturer all together. They lied to me in a few other ways but this is the biggest one.
Thank you from Nanci and the rest of the Bronx Honda team for taking the time to share this fantastic review! We hope youÂ’re enjoying your new car and we look forward to serving you in the future!
