A Good Sale
by 146MMS on 03/22/2015I was extremely happy with the way Harold assisted me in my purchase. He was attentive and understood what I was looking for. He did not push me into something outside my price range or my wishes. Thank you to a nice man and a good… salesman.overall price is still the best
by movienitz on 03/18/2015First, yes there are fees that are not included in the internet price. Virtually all dealers do this, they advertise a rock bottom price online, then add their dealership fees when you are discussing the sale. This isnt new, it's just how… dealerships work. The key is, once all the fees are added in, are you stil getting a good price? My civic was advertised at $13,000. They added another $2,170 in fees. The bottom line is that i paid $15,170 and that was a good price for the car. Other dealers had a comparable car advertised for $17-18,000 and they would have added their fees as well. Pricewise, always expect fees and just consider it part of the price of the car. Now, regarding the sales staff, i really appreciated how laid back and low pressure they were. At no point did i feel pressured or bullied into a decision, and there was no pressure to sign up for crazy extended warranties or glass coverage or key insurance or any other nonsense thing i have had other dealers try to sell me. They gave me more than i expected on my trade-in, i got a fair price on the car and they were nice to me. if you expect more than that you'll be disappointed no matter where you buy your car.Purchase of 2012 Pilot
by zsanchez7 on 03/11/2015My salesman Jayson was did a phenomenal job as he was very professional, informative and straightforward every step of the sale. We almost had the deal break down because of the value given to my trade in vehicle and thats when all the… problems started. The sales manager, who identified himself as Danny, got involved and offered to up his trade in offer but ONLY if the sale was done today. I was looking to get into a pilot sooner rather than later so the hardball tactics were unnecessary. We reached an agreement that I would leave the deposit if all-weather mats were included in the vehicle and the Used Car Manager identified above agreed. The next day hard ball Danny called insisting on a bigger down payment and threatening to refund the deposit if a deal was not struck. Again I was interested in getting into the vehicle sooner rather than later so the hardball tactics were unnecessary. Fast forward to after the sale the mats are nowhere to be found as were wireless headphones that are supposed to be included with the entertainment system. The next day I reached out to the dealer and this same manager deferred to the salesman when questioned regarding the absence of the accessories that should have come with the car. I just have to wonder how someone can be so aggressive when trying to push a sale but so dismissive once it was time to own up to the promises he personally made. I was also concerned that someone identified as a leader in the used car sale department would be so quick to avoid taking accountability for something that I would supposed is his responsibility as a manager typically oversees his own department. Lastly in finance I was told that the bank insisted on direct payments via automatic deductions which could not be further from the truth. The dealership has a partnership with a third party named Intellipayment. I was contacted by intellipayment who stated they charge 399 for their service and all they basically do is deduct the payment a few weeks sooner than the due date and apply part of it to the principle. While this can be helpful I would have like to be given the option to sign up for the service rather than having it forced upon me. I was also told that they would lower the price of the vehicle but that the warranty was included in the price and could not be taken off. Again I came in looking to purchase a warranty but having a choice rather than having warranties forced upon is not the best way to do business. If not for the fact that I found the exact car I wanted with the exact mileage I would have walked out the dealership mid purchase. While I'm happy with my vehicle I am disappointed by the tactics used but everyone other than my sales guy. Its a shame that Jayson was such a stand-up guy and gave awesome customer service but all I can remember is how much some of the members in this dealership over reached to get one sale when they could have had a life time customer.Best Dealership Ever
by Matwong92 on 03/03/2015Ok, so a little backround of myself. First time car buyer so people might say I don't have a clue of what I'm talking about. But trust me, I've been to at least 30 Dealers in the last year and North Shore was the least stressful. I had the… honor of working with Henry Neil, which was the finest salesmen I have ever come across. He made me feel welcome and unrushed. He was VERY knowledgable and did not offer me anything I didn't want. The deal literally took less than an hour and we shook hands and I came to pick up my new Aegean Blue Honda Fit 2 days later. :) Thank You North Shore Honda and Thank You Henry Neil, it was a pleasure doing business with you!Customer service

Will defininitely be back.7th car
by peeks28 on 03/01/2015Have dealt with Dave Haber and various members of his team since 2010. Purchased a 2010 CRV and 2010 Fit, followed by a 2012 Accord coupe and 2012 CRV. A week after Hurricane Sandy we added a 2013 Fit, 2012 Accord and my sisterinlaw who's… car was also on our driveway purchased a 2013 Fit. Now due to mileage..we just purchased a 2015 Civic coupe and will be purchasing a 2015 Fit next month and probably a 2015 CRV or HRV if it's available. Putting it mildly, we are well known to North Shore Honda..always a pleasure, particularly for the free oil changes and inspections and courteous smiles!Excellent experience
by cseltzer on 02/15/2015Henry Neil worked as a great car salesman. He got me what I wanted in my budget without high pressuring me. Eddie Hass was excellent at getting the finance and insurance transfer all the things necessary as I waited for my car to come in.… Absolutely love my 2015 Accord Touring!!!The ride ends in a good place (making amends)
by McLonergan on 02/07/2015updated 02/12/2015Dave Haber, general manager of North Shore Honda, reached out to me to make things right. He agreed to refund the rate buy down, as well as waive any fee the dealership would charge should I cancel the Honda Care. He was concerned that his… dealership's reputation was being tarnished but more so that I was exceptionally unhappy with our deal. He was both genuine and honorable, accepting that his staff did not handle the deal as they should have, and that he had spoken with them to make sure it does not happen again. I am completely satisfied with our resolution and can now recommend North Shore Honda as a dealership one can expect a fair deal when shopping for a car.Great experience
by Ivyr324 on 02/01/2015Worked with John Schneider. No pressure, just good prices and great customer service. Spent time teaching us about our new vehicle and he knew it well. Leased a Honda Odyssey, but the price at the end of 3 years is fair and gives me… incentive to look towards buying at the end of my lease. Will definitely go back.A great experience
by peanutlutter on 12/07/2014Just leased my fourth Pilot. Never thought I'd drive home the same day in my new vehicle.....but I did! This time added features over previous models at surprisingly reasonable costs. We are returning customers to North Shore because… working with Phil and Jay is always such a pleasure. Thanks to Eddie, the financial process went smoothly too. Will never come to this place again
by puravida14 on 11/06/2014After reading all 5 stars reviews here one can think that only angels working in this place, just wondering who is writing them? I went to NSH to buy used Nissan, that was sitting there for 5 months already. The advertised price was… $14,995, that looked like a good deal. To my surprise that Murano SL did not have a moon roof, that is part of SL trim, but it was not mentioned anywhere on dealer's web site. But even bigger surprise I had after taking a ride, when dealer calculated the price of $18,085 (more than 3,000 above what I expected, and it was before tax, registration and other expected fees), that included: $14,995 (as advertised on internet with* that meant: "Prices reflect: 90% financing with Dealer, must have excellent credit (750+ credit score) and $995.00 down plus Tax, title, tags, DMV & fees."), plus $1200 penalty for paying cash (yes, I wanted to pay 100% cash, I am intending to take car out of the country and can not finance for that reason, pretty handsome penalty where should be none), plus $995 down (excuse me, if I am paying all at once, what kind of money down are we talking about?! And since when money down gets added to the price?!), plus $895 that they called "prep fee" or something like that ( according to all the records I could access all what they did to the car was changing the oil, filters, brake pads and wipers and other dealers normally include that into the advertised price)!!! I felt cheated, especially after driving for 2+ hours from Connecticut. I said to manager Matt Adler, that I went to three different dealers in CT in past few days and never seen such price presentation, he answered that it been long since I was shopping for cars and things changed, so... he did not even hear me. He continued to try to convince me that there is nothing wrong with the way they doing business and read me a lecture that I should not be shopping for a car I can not afford! That was especially delightful! And at the end when I mentioned that I had pretty stressful experience, he replied that he owes five cars and never had stress buying them (what a surprise:)! Bravo, Matt! I am thankful for some valuable lessons I learned from you and the first one among them -never again deal with your dealership.Awesome Salesman
by Nevadomski6 on 09/27/2014This is our 3rd car that we have bought from North Shore Honda. The staff is very nice and we have been dealing with John S for years. John is very professional and personable and goes out of his way to make sure his customers are happy… with their purchase. Thank you John for all of your help. Jennifer & Paul NevadomskiAwesome Sales Team
by epicmap30 on 08/31/2014I got my first car after graduating high school at this dealership. Once I came in the door I met with John, A very experienced honest salesman. He layed out my options and gave me a choice without pressuring me into doing a deal. One i… choose one of the deals I was able to walk in and walk out with a 2014 Honda Accord Sedan. I have to say I am a very happy customer and guys like John, Dave, & Eddie all make you feel like you got the best experience possible.Fair Deal
by 2jcac on 08/28/2014After doing a considerable amount of research on car makes, models, trims, and dealerships, I decided on a Honda Civic EX from North Shore Honda. I visited with my girlfriend and engaged in a straightforward conversation with Harold. I feel… we received a great deal on the right car for my needs. Working with Harold and Eddie was a refreshing experience in the world of car shopping. Sure, they made the sale. That is what they are in business for. I received a great product and service plan. That was what I was there for. -Fair Deal-Beware of hidden fees and Lies
by woz2000 on 08/09/2014I reached out to North Shore Honda about a car they had advertised online. When I asked Corey about hidden fees, he started listing them, Dealer Prep, Processing, and Reconditioning or some other name... adding another $1200 to the… total. When I said these hidden fees are ridiculous, he went on about how everyone does it and the website has a link that shows the car on average sells for $4000 more than their price. So I said that is not true and the link is obviously not an independent source or is a dealer biased company he got very rude and obnoxious. Very very rude...I ended the call there.Another easy leasing transaction
by apfaucpa on 08/12/2014I have leased about 20 cars for myself and my family members over the last 20 years. I just leased the second Honda CRV for my daughter. My sales person was John Schroder. I have worked with him on maybe 4 leases over the past 5 years. All… of the transactions were quick, the deals were very good, and I was treated as if the salesperson and the dealership wants me back as a customer. I have had many bad experiences at other dealerships. None at North Shore Honda. I even told John that he was the only car salesperson I have ever returned to and the only salesperson I have ever referred people to. Most of the prior deals with other dealerships made me dread getting a new car. It is supposed to be a good experience but it usually makes you realize where the term "used car salesman" came from. Most dealers seem to think it is better to rip off a customer and look for the next victim. It never made sense to me that a dealership would spend so much money on marketing to bring in customers when the easiest thing to do is just hold onto your customers for repeat business and get referrals. That is how I built and run my business. John gets it and I think the dealers management must get it. I am happy to review them favorably. I wish more businesses would wake up to the fact that repeat business is good business and doing the right thing for the customer always pays off in the long run. I will be back as soon as my next car comes off lease. Happy in Jericho."I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THIS DEALERSHIP EVEN TO MY ENEMY!"
by sywhite on 07/19/2014My Review Of North Shore Honda: Me abd my husband joseph, wanted for our first car a used one, as we wanted to enjoy ownership of a car for the first time in our lives. We started to look for a honda deaership, as we were familiar using my… mother in laws honda civic. Me and my husband started looking around and settled in NORTH SHORE HONDA DEALERSHIP. This was a terrible catastrophe, Our first night of ownership driving off the North Shore Honda Lot; Problen after problem after problem, when me and my husband got home and were parking the car in front of our house, we had paperwork such as proof of insurance for the car that were necessary to keep in the glove compartment of the car.But as we both tried separately to open the glove compartment of the car; it would not budge to open; worse was the glove compartment lock cylinder fell out! We both me and my husband both looked at each other with total frustration of this car we just this same evening drove off the North Shore Honda Lot! We decided we would call this dealership the next day; My husband joseph called and finally after the 100th call finally got in touch with the North Shore Honda General Manager David H! Unhelpful we asked to please return this piece of junk used car from North Shore Honda Dealership. However the reply The General Manager of North Shore Honda gave us was and I will Quote him; Mr David H said "I AM SORRY BUT I JUST CANT TAKE THE CAR BACK AND RETURN YOUR MONEY".Me and my husband were appalled; We had owned the car one single night, we had called North Shore Honda the very next day to get all our money back All $17,000 of our money. It just comes to show that sometimes money does blind people to do terrible things taking all of me and my husbands savings for this terrible broken lemon car. I sincerely hope people read this and take notice. All these employees at North Shore Honda are money Hungary [non-permissible content removed]! Sincerely Mrs. S Y WhiteNo worry's new car
by fauna51 on 07/20/2014This is the second car that I have purchased at NS Honda and the netire scenario went very well.Amazing experience
by General_Lee_Si on 06/24/2014TCB for Takin' Care of Business! Phill H and Jimel A are amazing professionals. I think if you cut open their chests, their hearts would be shaped like a Honda "H" and be powered by VTEC. Not only do they know their product better than… anyone I've ever dealt with (this is my 7th Honda/Acura since 2001), they went above and beyond to get the deal done. Every facet of the deal was effortless. This is the way to buy an automobile. If you want the red carpet treatment, go see Jimel and Phill. They're legends in my mind....a case study in the way automobiles should be sold and for customer service. I cannot recommend NS Honda and this crew enough. Thank you guys!!!!!Best Car Buying experience ever!
by amandis95 on 04/10/2010We are a loyal honda Family and had been going to Honda City in the past. Over the years their customer service and gone horribly wrong and after a recent visit, we will NOT be returning there. We saw an ad in the paper yesterday for a… 4WD CRV and went in and asked for it. Charlie Gordon pulled out the ad and said, "ok, so would you like Brown, blue or Silver and would you like to pick it up today?" It was that simple. We got it for the price advertised, in the exact color I had wanted and we picked it up 3 hours later! And our trade in was given what it was worth..no arguing! I am telling all my friends about our experience and as long as i was on here writing a Bad review about [another dealership], I thought i would compliment them on their great customer service since I don't usually think to write about the good experiences... only complain about the bad ones!
