    This Dealership indeed believes in the Golden Rule. It can get busy there but it's indeed worth the wait. I drove 60 miles to this Dealership and would drive 160 if I had to.

    We were referred to Bill Kolb Subaru by Costco. When we arrived there for the first time we were greeted warmly by our salesperson Evan Cano. We were guided through the ordering process in a most professional manner and placed our order. When the car was ready to be delivered we were on our way to pick up the car and we were involved in a minor traffic accident and could not get to the dealership. The next morning we asked Evan if we could be picked up and driven to the dealership to pick up the car. Evan drove from Rockland Count to Long Island to accommodate us. That is how accommodating the dealership is. When we were finalizing the lease process we met with Marty the finance manager. He was exceptionally nice and guided us through that process with recommendations on which services would be valuable to purchase. Evan’s dad Holman and the general manager Joe P were also extremely helpful during the process. Needless to say we were totally satisfied. Having previously owned Subaru’s we were familiar with the cars and their reliability in our opinion our experience at this dealership went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations.

  • VERY DISAPPOINTING

    We had a very unprofessional experience picking up our new 2023 Crosstrek. Our salesman was busy with another customer, unprepared and unprofessional. And gave us the incorrect vin # which delayed our insurance. The Financial manager was impersonal and made us feel like he was doing us a favor even though we were paying in cash. The car was not prepared properly as the antenna rod was not installed and we had to install it ourselves 2 days later. On the pro side the person assigned to show and explain the car to us could not have been more helpful and understanding. And the person who answered the general operator number was extremely personable and helpful in getting the antenna found and installed.

    Was interested in a 13 CrossTrek that just came in on trade. Rather than moving it quickly to get the sale, Holman, took the time to get it through the shop to get it up to snuff, and kept us in the loop. Instead of a quick sale, he made a good sale. Will de start here the next time we're in the market

  • Quick and Painless (Enjoyable, even)

    In the modern day of online window-shopping, I have found that most dealerships deliberately conceal certain financial details until you are in the showroom, and things are sprung on the blindsided customer; often in a high pressure environment. This is not the case at Bill Kolb Jr.! When I electronically spoke to the salesperson (named Mel), all of the information was laid out before me, clear as day. I was even a little skeptical at first, asking “no, I want to know what the *final* price would be.” I was pleasantly surprised to find that the number was the final price, and that there weren’t going to be any extra fees that I had grown so used to. I made an appointment to see the car the following day (and two days later I was driving off in an Outback!) Everything I needed for my insurance/financing was expeditiously emailed to me by the salesperson as we stayed in touch over the couple of days which spanned the sales process. Maybe it’s because I had grown so sick of the way Long Island dealerships were treating me (and their customers), but the experience I had at Bill Kolb Jr. was quick, enjoyable, relaxing, and overall very pleasant. At no point did I feel pressured or otherwise uncomfortable- it was a very good environment. To put it in perspective, I live on Long Island where we have something like eleven Subaru dealerships. There’s a reason why I drove the hour-and-a-half to Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru.

    My fiancée and I were doing a blind buy of a car under duress. The environment was very comfortable working with Evan Cano. He was very honest and forthcoming and even though it was needed, we never felt too pressured. I was given a great deal with all things considered, and Paul in finance went the extra mile to make sure the sale went through after we told him our preferred monthly payment. Overall great experience.

    Don’t have enough good things to say about this dealership even in this crazy car market. We worked with Connor Flood and made it feel like we were buying from family rather than a car salesman. Professional. Friendly. Zero pressure. Zero markup {went to numerous dealerships that were automatically tacking on at least 5grand} , actually got money OFF MSRP for a GREAT car. And Paul in finance was just as friendly and helpful. Still shocked at what a great experience we had at a car dealership.
