    Della Toyota, like it’s whole franchise/monopoly in Plattsburgh, is a horrible business. Their entire goal is to scam their customers. They set up their business in a way that the customer is interfacing with people who are not mechanics or technicians. These frontline people cannot answer any questions about the bill, the services rendered/suggested or when the car will be ready. The experience at Della is breathtakingly frustrating. I took my car in on a Tuesday for an oil and filter change and new tires. By Thursday, I still did not have my car and had not been offered a loaner. I received three calls from Della reporting 3 more things I needed done, including a new car battery - it was fine when I brought it in? They charged me $60 for a new oil filter cap, which they said was leaking, and yet I had not been losing oil. They charged me twice for my tire alignment. They charged $237 for a car battery and $71 to put it in, which took less than 20 min. I had signed off on $896 worth of repairs. They notified me, and I agreed to $400 more worth of repairs but my final bill was $2018.22. Della is a scam. They genuinely do not care about individual customers. The service attendants are friendly and kind, if difficult to reach, but they are simply messengers in an unconscionable scam. Do I sound like a fool? I am - for doing any business with Della Toyota.

    We were looking for a 2023 Toyota Tacoma in great shape and they are hard to find, but we lucked out with Della Toyota in Plattsburgh, NY. We found the truck online and contacted Heather and drove up to see the truck and take it for a ride. We got a late start and Heather said she would wait for us and don't worry. We loved the truck and Heater and Jon made the purchase friendly and super easy.

    The process of buying the car I wanted from start to finish was very easy. Heather was great as the sales consultant I dealt with, she answered all the questions I had and took the time to show me the features of the car, which I found very helpful. Mitch was also very helpful in explaining the financing and made the process easy and straight forward.

    After hitting a deer my vehicle was totaled. Just weeks before Christmas. I went in to della Toyota and was helped by Heather Garrow. We exchanged multiple emails, that she always responded to timely. I test drove multiple vehicles before I found the one I wanted.. Heather and mitch I believe was his name. Helped with everything insurance, dmv, bank all of it. Made it so easy and less stressful in a really hard time. I'm super thankful.

    Switch and Bait!! Had a Tundra already to purchase with sales manager and salesman and I asked what the new $1900 item was?- they had to check if they had applied ceramic paint cote and under coating on truck, and came back to me saying they had already applied both so the price is an additional $1,900!! After 2 days of discussions this option was never shown or discussed!!

    I've just bought 2 cars from Della and would highly recommend. In early sept we bought a Corolla Hybrid with Heather Garrow's help. Its a tough market right now to find a brand new hybrid. on 9/21 I was rear-ended in my week old car, which resulted in a total loss. After weeks of sorting things out with Insurance I emailed Heather Garrow and she found me a new car, same day. I put a deposit down over the phone, we got a head start on the paperwork online, and then on friday I drove my rental car over to get the new car. Heather picked me up at enterprise (dropping it off in plattsburg was her idea and was a brilliant huge help). Paperwork with Jon was quick and easy and he helped me get a refund for the extended warranty we had purchased on the crashed car. I cannot recommend them enough. I've told friends and family to go see them. And they will be my first call if I need another vehicle.

    I wasn't even thinking of buying a new Highlander Hybrid until my old 2012 was being serviced. Sales Rep. Heather Garrow did a great job. I spoke with her while I was waiting. She answered all of my questions accurately with no sales pressure at all. I decided then and there to put down a deposit. She then worked for me presenting some great choices until I took delivery of just the right car.

  • The worst dealership I've dealt with in my 57 years

    Beware of Della Toyota and this "family" of dealerships! The family of your nightmares. They cannot be trusted. Facts: Della did not inspect the used car we purchased from them in March and we had to bring the car back on MULTIPLE occasions before they (finally) fixed the brakes - and that cost us lots of time and money bringing it to them from out of state! Their (very) poor service was evidenced by their (ongoing) track record of shortcutting things. They should have properly inspected and fixed the car BEFORE they sold it to us. We recently learned from a professional mechanic that the tires they had on the car when they sold it to us were unsafe (cracked between the treads) AND that the rear springs were broken (and had been for quite a long time). Also, the calipers are leaking! Della pushed this vehicle out the door - without fixing what needed fixing - at our expense! They said to bring it back to them AGAIN - and then wanted to charge me approx. $2,000 to fix the issues they NEVER inspected or addressed in the first place. They are unethical, so steer clear! They prey on their customers and are exactly what's bad with car dealerships.
    • Hi Chris Roscia, We take customer complaints very seriously and I reviewed your statements as well as the company files. We are not perfect and try and make every customer happy. Here are the facts. You purchased your 2015 VW in January, 2022 and have put 16,000 miles on it since date of purchase. It passed inspection. We are not allowed to retail vehicles that do not pass NY State Inspection. You declined to add an extended warranty even though we recommended a warranty for a 7 year old vehicle. We did install brakes free of charge back in March when you complained about them. Though the brakes passed inspection, we went the extra mile to make you happy. We also indicated to you that we would assist in discounting the work now needed. You declined assistance. We wish you the best and hope this addresses your concerns.     Made a appointment for a recall notice 4 weeks ago, showed up before time, after waiting over a half hour I was told work had not started and person doing the work had a dentist appoint and I could wait 2 more hours and they hoped it would be done.

  • Poor Customer Communication

    Don't shop at Della Toyota in Plattsburgh! Why? We have been talking with them since yesterday morning. Donna told us she would cover our Ferry Fee, that was a negative upon arrival. We called before leaving St Albans to ensure the vehicle we had been talking about was still there and available. Donna had confirmed by phone that it was there and that it would be available to purchase as soon as we got there. That was also a negative after consulting with Alex. Then Alex tried talking us into getting a different vehicle that was 6 to 9 thousand dollars more and in a similar size we currently have. We emphasized that we were looking for a more fuel efficient vehicle. Thank you for wasting my time and money!
    • Hi William, I checked the timeline for you and it is unfortunate that customers were in the process of purchasing the vehicle you wanted at the same time you arrived. Until a deposit is issued, a vehicle is "for sale". This was not intentional or meant to waste your time. Highly sought after vehicl es do not last long on the lot. Alex and store management tried hard to find another vehicle that would satisfy your requirements but were unsuccessful. As far as the toll goes, you live in St. Albans and there is no toll over the bridge. Thank you for your comments and we truly wish you the best.
