Service of Excellence
by Maryann521 on 08/31/2016updated 09/12/2016Victor, the manager, was professional and comfortable to work with helping me to get the lease that I could afford. Christhofer Martinez, another professional, helped guide me with the process of the lease. He paid close attention to my… questions and needs explaining what needed to be done while apologizing for the delay in time. It was in fact a very busy day. Chris also patiently walked me through the use of all the bells & whistles of this beautiful vehicle. Last but not least Lisa facilitated the closing of the contract clearly answering any questions I had and as pleasant as the rest of the team.Honda Civic

Great Experience
by raz611 on 05/17/2015Tarrytown Honda is GREAT just bought a car from Jessica...she is awesome gave me a great deal on my beautiful new 2015 civic. Everyone that I dealt with was so pleasant they make you feel like you have known them for years no salesman BS. I… was looking for a car for awhile went to a few places and settled here just because of the great atmosphere. Go here you will be very happy!!!Awesome experience! Awesome vehicle!
by alizaburton on 02/02/2015I called Tarrytown Honda to see if they had a used CRV in my price range. Well they didn't. But they DID have a 2004 Pilot that happened to have come in that day as a trade in. The sales people couldn't have been nicer and more… helpful. I especially have a shout out to Richard Miller, who made this car buying experience quick and super easy. He didn't treat me as if I was just buying a used car, instead I felt like a valued customer. The process was easy and, having never bought a car from a dealership before, I couldn't believe I didn't have to go to the DMV, call to change my insurance or even take the plates off my old car and put them on my new one! Buying a used car has always made me suspicious, even with the ability to see a car's history with Auto Check or Carfax. Tarrytown Honda not only dispelled my fears, but made me confident in my purchase. That the car I bought was originally purchased there, was a plus in their favor as well. It speaks well of them as a dealer, that someone would trade in a car purchased there originally for a new one. Plus they have an awesome product to sell!! (You know when you buy a car, you see it everywhere all of a sudden? Well that happened to me too - only the Honda Pilots I kept seeing had Tarrytown Honda emblems on them!! That's gotta mean something!)Tarrytown Honda
by lindfre on 01/13/2015Went in and bought a CRV Ex, waiting for it to be delivered. I have left messages with the finance department and manager about the rate of loan. I filled out an application and no one calls back to confirm the loan or the rate. I want… to have everything settled by the time the car comes in. IAlso I saw on their website that 6 models were in stock. I was told that these were the cars that are expected. Three days later down to 4 models. Called to see if they are in. Again, no one calls. They took my deposit and now I am hanging in limbo.pleasant experience except for the usual Dealer missteps
by piper1233 on 03/24/2010I brought my best deal for Tarrytown Honda to beat, only because the dealer that I recieved the quote from did not have the specific vehicle I wanted. Tarrytown beat the quote by $100 and agreed to my perifial requests. They originally told… me that the car was available at a connected Dealership, after I made the deal, they were ordering the car from the factory. I didnt mind because I didnt want a car with 100 plus demo miles and the smell of countless window shoppers. The problem came when they called me to finalized the insurance, and told me to pick up the car on Friday. I made arrangements for Saturday instead of Friday and even left a message on Friday requesting a call back if there was any problems. No call back Friday, no call back Saturday morning. I arrived at the Dealership and was told that the car had not arrived yet. I was Livid. I came to an arrangement with the Manager and recieved the car the next Wednesday. Aside from them not being totally honest with me about the availability of the car, I have to say that the Salesman and the Managers were Courteous and Helpful. and the experience was not bad enough for me to condemn the Dealership.suspect used mercedes ! watch out !
by ethomas1 on 11/27/2009After test driving the 2007 mercedes C280, we found out that the car had been in a collision ! They said " It was just a small bump"..but the car had been towed away from the accident. The saleman, Mike, did not want to provide any… information on damage sustained or repairs made. Every answer was " NO " to every question. We made an offer and " Mike " was short and terse. YOU DO NOT WANT TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE !! RUN !! These guys are not to be trusted. Read the other reviews and you will get the picture.Suprisingly Pleasant Experience
by darong on 09/16/2009After a horrendous "Internet-sale" experience at another dealer, we decided give this method another try. This Internet sales department lived up to its best offer and made the buying process, including trade-in, quick and easy. And they… were simply professional in every way. The fact that we went prepared and knew what we wanted certainly helped.Canceled a binding contract without my autorization. Lied to my face.
by wnewton on 08/25/2009I purchased a car from them and entered my truck for cash for clunkers. We sighned a binding contract for the sale. They told me they just had to grab it from another dealer and that it would be in in a few days. Told me I should get my… truck ready, so I went home and cut out plow, tailer, remote start etc etc etc. Six days later they said then could not get the car. They denied my contract was anything but a purchase request at first, then told me it was subject to locating the vehicle. All Lies!!! I told them I was not canceling my contract but then they refunded my money without my permission 3 days later. Now I have no new car and my truck is destroyed. They simply tell me there is nothing they can do other then order a 2010 without any discounts. Also a lie!!! They can take a loss for thier mistake and get me the 2009 I ordered or get me a 2010 and give it to me for the price our contract is for. Now the money that was going to this car is currently going to an attorny who is researching my case.......Thanks for nothingThis statement was made by me in error. I dropped my claim with Tarrytown Honda as I do not feel they were at fault and I do not feel they deserve the rating or comments I have posted.
Low Integrity Sales Manager
by jmcauliff on 06/30/2009After accepting my deposit of $500 just before closing on a used Accord, the car was sold to another customer the following day before I could return. This ostensibly took place because after looking at Consumer Reports data later in the… evening and seeing the sale price should be $1500 less, I called and said I wanted to discuss the price. I did not cancel the order but only indicated a desire to renegotiate. Supposedly in three hours another customer came and paid for the car at a price that the sales manager would not disclose. No effort was made to contact me.There is a personal reason for our shock and dismay at the unethical way we were treated by the sales manager at Tarrytown Honda. As the sales people, and perhaps the manager (who introduced himself to us) knew, this was to be our son's first car, shared with his mom. Our son was with us during the purchase and joined me when I returned to take delivery today, his 17th birthday. Frankly I don't know if the manager received a better offer, or was nervous that we were backing out of the deal. I had not threatened to cancel the order, but certainly hoped that the price was going to be discussed as had been offered during my phone conversation with the salesman. I suppose we should credit this as a learning experience for our son, but it will not help the reputation of a dealer whose customers are our neighbors.
Very Pleased
by jefft7 on 07/26/2008[violative content deleted] When I shopped other dealers like [violative content deleted] and [violative content deleted] I didn't feel as accomodated as I did at Tarrytown Honda. Rich Miller walked me through my New Accord and pointed out… all the features and details of this great car . I got the highest trade in value of any of the 4 dealers I went to, and delivery was seamless. I would highly reccomend Tarrytown Honda. Thanks Rich!High pressure sales tactics, poor customer service
by phatphit on 07/16/2008Immediately on entering Tarrytown Honda, we felt like we'd gone back 20 years to an old-school, high pressure dealership. We never felt like we could trust anyone we talked to. The salesperson put unnecessary pressure on us to put down a… deposit immediately, and he did the phony "let me talk to my sales manager" routine and said "I can't negotiate the price of add-ons (like wheels and a nav system), you'll do that later with someone else". The car we wanted wasn't even in stock, and they weren't willing to call other dealers to see if they could get one off another lot (we had already checked and knew that two other area dealers had plenty of inventory). Instead they wanted us to put down a deposit on a car that was "on the truck" and would arrive "any day". They said "these cars are flying off the lot, you'll be lucky to get one." Maybe true at this dealer, but others had inventory. On top of this, they weren't willing to negotiate on the price (but dropped $300 off sticker after we laughed at them and threatened to leave), and the salesperson didn't seem knowledgeable about the car's features. We walked and got a great deal on the same car at a nearby dealer that same day. It's a shame because we live in Tarrytown and walked in with an interest in buying that day, and we wanted to support a local business. Tarrytown Honda needs to wake up and realize they're in a very competitive area in Westchester and they're not the only option for buying a Honda.to the contrary...
by luvhonda1 on 06/29/2008I have read the reviews of Tarrytown Honda and strongly disagree. Tarrytown Honda gave me a more than fair price when I purchased my 08 Accord, and they were the first store I shopped. Since my purchase I have changed my oil twice and… rotated my tires once. Servicing only took 30 minutes the first time and they drove me to the train station for the second as well as picked me up at 8:00 PM. The Sales staff was firendly and knowledgable and was a pleaseure to deal with. I had some credit issues (my own fault) and they were able to find a bank that could get me into a reasonable payment.DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP
by hhhhhhh on 03/03/2008This is the worst place that I have ever bought a certified car from. The sales staff are useless, uninformed and pretty much have no regard for the satisfaction of their customers. There is absolutely no customer service. They do… nothing that they promise that they will do. It is down right appalling. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else...great car, bad service
by asitmehta on 01/14/2008I went into this dealership interested in the new honda accord. This dealership has a friendly environment and staff. The salesman was kind and knowledgeable. When he asked me when I was going to buy the car I replied 3-4 weeks, because I… was comparing other cars. Quickly the salesman seemed to lose all interest and tried to get me out of the dealership. However I took a very short 5 minute test drive (the car is excellent). When I asked him about a rough price he quoted me the MSRP. I left the dealership very disappointed, I bought the vehicle at honda of nanuet a week later, where the service and of course price, was excellent.New Owner (Tarrytown Honda) Complete OPPOSITE of honest/fair Rushneck Honda
by financeguy1 on 12/07/2007Tarrytown Honda treated me like a moron and tried to rip me off for $600. Tarrytown Honda (now "celebrating" their first year) has none of the old salespeople, many of whom had been there for years. However, I went in assuming I would… still be treated fairly. AND THEN the salesman told me to lie about damage on my trade-in. THEN he offered me what he called an "aggressively" priced lease on a 2008 CRV LX 4WD. THEN I asked several questions about how the payments were calculated, to which I got vague and (I later found out) untruthful answers. THEN the Sales Mgr. came over (with a hostile attitude) and questioned me as to why I wouldn't sign after he had given me such a "great" offer. I am a financial professional. When I ran Tarrytown's numbers, I realized they were charging me $400 OVER MSRP even though Edmunds said the average price should be $200 UNDER MSRP. When the salesman called me the next day, I told him I would not do business with them and why. Five minutes later he calls again to "explain" what the confusion was about. THEN he offered me a lease rate with total payments $983 less than his first offer (which equals about $375 UNDER MSRP). However, I don't trust them and won't give them another chance to dupe me. When it was Rushneck Honda, prices were ALWAYS fair without haggling. Each time, I knew the price I would pay before I even spoke to them. There were NEVER any gimmicks, hardball tactics or fine print to worry about. Toyota North (Mt. Kisco) MAY be this kind of dealer. That's right. I'd prefer to buy a RAV4 (my second choice) than to wrestle with the Tarrytown or White Plains Honda dealers.I got [violative content deleted]
by liebo on 04/15/2011updated 04/28/2025I responded to a Honda promotion for a lease on a new 2011 CR-V, was told by salesman 'Jay' that he could get me out of the remaining 2 months on my existing lease on a 2008 in order to take advantage of the free month special offer on… 2011, then later denied he said that, thus putting me into the new lease along with commissions and me getting no free month. Management was no help at all! Never go there, plenty of other local Honda dealers!
