The KIA Optima is a great car, but I was ready for an more Luxury upgrade and I can't say enough about how AWESOME the Cadenza car is. My sales agent was Todd Adams and… he was very knowledgeable and informative and I strongly recommend him. Todd and the Finance , Tarek Hikki were a pleasure to work with. by JoeR on 08/11/2017I purchased my car here in 2016. All was good until I had a issue with the car. When I press the fob to open the doors the mirrors pop out but the doors don't open. The issue happen sporadically. Some days it works and some days it does not… work. I had it in for service 3 times and they can't seem to find out the issue. They told me they the only way they can find out what it is, is to bring the car in when it's happening. I have taken my car there 2 times when it was happening and both times I was told they are to busy to look in to it I should come back next week if it happens again. They told me it's not a safety issue. I am thinking how do you know if you don't know what the issue is. I will never buy a KIA and again nor will I buy any car from Hendricks dealers.Diane Fortenberry

by fultonadam1152 on 05/03/2017The whole adventure started with an internet search. My family was in the market for a larger vehicle and I found one on the Hendrick Cary Auto Mall used car site. It was going to be an hour or so drive to get there so I called the day… before to see if the car was still available and set up a test drive. I was told the vehicle was still there and I could test drive it the next morning. Once I arrived, I was told the car was in South Carolina (6 hours away). I should have taken this as a sign but I decided to continue looking around. I left and returned later that day and ended up on the Hendrick Kia pre-owned lot. My sales rep was very nice and pleasant to deal with. I decided to purchase a vehicle and left that evening. (Fast forward three weeks) I still had not received my actual license plate and my temp tag was almost expired. I checked with the local license plate agency and there was no record of my vehicle in the system. This is when I started making phone calls. The first call was received with a 'we will handle everything, have a nice day'. 4 more days pass, nothing; the state still has no record of the vehicle purchase. I proceeded to call 6-7 times over the next three days and left multiple messages but with no reply. When I finally got in touch with someone, it took one day to get my license plate but I had to drive the hour north to pick it up. No offer to bring it to me or anything. When I arrived, they put my plate on, with my help and I asked them if they would be willing to help me out with a spare key for my Jeep (the purchase only came with one and new ones are $200 plus a program fee of $50-$60. The finance manager had me go to the Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealer across the street and ask for Matt Moody and he would get me a key at cost for my troubles. At this point I was satisfied with my experience since sometimes things happen that a company cannot control (the person who was responsible for registering vehicles quit and caused a big mess). However, when I went over to the service department at Dodge, Mr. Moody (I think that's how you spell it) treated me like I was some P.O.S. that had no business talking to him. When I told him why I was there, he quoted me a price double what the Chrysler dealer near my home quoted me for everything. Needless to say, I mentioned this to Finance Manager at Kia pre-owned and he seemed disturbed but what happened but failed to make it right before I left. While I know this will not change anything, I will never purchase a car from Hendrick because there is no reason for a company that big to treat their customers like that. Just F.Y.I., I spent $30,000 on my vehicle; imagine how I would have been treated if I bought something far cheaper.Beware they will lie and pull your credit non stop
by Lori042378_ on 01/21/2017I had a 780 credit score. Ramone the finance manager and Angel in sales told me they would do one soft credit pull and be able to get rates from that. I clearly told her NOT to pull my credit. More than once. They pulled my credit multiple… times tanking my score. They clearly are clueless about what a soft pull and hard pull is. Then the lies when confronted and said they had my permission. I have credit hits from banks I have never heard of. Stay away. They are self serving [non-permissible content removed] who do not care about their customers.Exceptional Employee: Andrew Sweet

I usually never received good and speedy service from your… location. It is not uncommon that I feel ignored and disregarded. When I usually ask for updates after significant periods of time, I feel like I receive insincere comments to keep me momentarily satisfied. My husband and I purchased two vehicles from Hendrick, and have had an array of bad experiences. Other than previously purchased services, we vowed not to return back to your facility. After my experience today, I have changed my opinion. Your employee, Andrew Sweet was not only polite and exceptionally speedy, I felt like I was in good hands. He acknowledged me as soon as I walked in the door with a smile on his face and processed everything with exceptional speed. He kept the entire process as transparent as possible and made sure he could make every effort to help me with what I needed. After 4 to 5 years, this is the first time I have walked out of your facility feeling completely satisfied with my experience. I feel like it is not easy to fully measure the performance of employees at a company, but I hope that my comments will help you recognize that you have a valuable employee representing your company. Andrew Sweet has changed the opinion of a disgruntled customer. I now plans to return back to your facility for future vehicles and services.Best sales advisor ever-Rick Umstead!

Rick was kind, warm, patient, knowlegable, caring, and without him I would be without a car. He spent 9 hours… with my husband and I and we felt like we were the most important people at the dealership to him. With his guidance I have a beautiful new car that suits my needs. by schastain on 06/27/2016I found a car online that was exactly what I wanted for the price that I wanted. It was at Terry Labonte Chevrolet in Greensboro, a Hendrick Dealer. After clicking that I was interested in the car online, I got an onslaught of phone calls… from various Hendrick dealers, of which I scheduled an appointment with Hendrick Kia of Cary (which is really Hendrick Used Cars nextdoor). I met with Nikola, who was awesome to deal with and the only positive part of the entire experience. He got me started and even called my bank to find the payoff information and get paperwork going... assess my trade-in, etc. He took my information over to the manager and this is where things went downhill. They came back with a trade-in value of $8500, which is significantly below blue book value. He explained it was because it had a manufacturer recall. Thats when I told him that the dealership is going to fix it for free anyway when the airbags become available so that shouldn't affect the value. The manager (I believe his name was Ron) then came over and said all he could do was $9000, still significantly below value. I wanted to see if they could make up for the decreased trade-in value elsewhere so I continued. Made it very clear that I was not going to pay over $300 a month as a payment. He wrote down on the sheet $300-$400. I told him no, less than $300. Several times he said $300 to $400 and each time I said that I wouldn't go below $300. I have another car payment and $300 is my limit... period. They then asked to run my credit. I explained that I already had a loan set up through my bank, which the manager said it didn't matter... I had to run my credit through them before they could make an offer. I wanted this car so I went with it. He then came back and showed me the offer... the monthly payment was $70 more than I told them I was comfortable with AND they were going to require me to put a payment down. I finally told them there is no way I'm taking that deal. The trade in was garbage and the fact that they ran my credit when I told them I had a loan already set up didn't sit right with me. Yes I signed the paperwork authorizing it but I had more hope in them. Definitely wrong. The manager came back over and just kept telling me there is no way I could get below $300, no way I can get a better trade in, no way I'm getting a better deal on the car, they couldn't take off the $195 transfer fee, I had to put money down no matter what. 2 days later I walked out of Autopark Honda with the car I wanted, traded my CR-V for $10,750, 2 year comprehensive warranty, and now have a $280/month car payment. No money down and they never once ran my credit when I told them about my pre-approved bank loan. EVERYTHING they told me at Hendrick Used Cars turned out to be wrong. They were the definition of a bad used car experience and sales techniques that make people hate car buying.ZERO STARS

So I've been searching for a 2013 or above Honda Crosstour V6 EXL and decided to take a look on the Cary Auto Mall site… Specifically Hendrick Chevrolet. and to… my surprise is saw the car I was looking for however, it was on the used Kia lot. immediately I sent an email to show I was interested in the car and around 9:00am Saturday morning I received a call from Diane and made an appointment about coming to view the 2013 Honda. About 45 mins after speaking with her a man called and introduced himself as a sales manager ( I didn't get his name) he thanked me for my time and told me that he appreciated me scheduling an appointment with Diane. Then about 45 mins after speaking with him another guy called me and asked did I schedule and appointment and to call if I needed to change the appointment time or anything. I explained to him that i've already spoken to 2 other members from the dealership. I arrived at the auto mall at about 6:24pm. originally I was at the Kia New Car building and they directed me to the Used Car side . I entered the building and asked for Diane and they told me she was with a customer and she'll be just a couple of minutes. So I decided to walk outside to view the car externally. I walked around the WHOLE lot and to my surprise I couldn't find the car. I thought to myself well maybe somebody purchased it. I walked in and spoke to a heavier man with a stoneISH color shirt on it was like a light blue he was sitting at the last computer to the right. I asked him about the Honda and his exact words was " I just saw it . it' should be out there". hmmmmm i thought thats weird but whatever. he asked me if i some to Diane Keep in mind I never even seen the lady so I wouldn't know how she looked . I asked do she have grey hair because as I was searching the lot for the car I saw a woman out back speaking to another employee he said "yes" you can walk out back and see if she speaking with someone. I begin to walk and thought to myself ( well darn they don't have enough decency to even call her on the intercom) got around back she wasn't there and i walked back to the front and in the building I saw who seemed to be dian walking to me she introduced her self and I asked if I can see the car . She took me to the counter and the same obese man told her and me "she can look at it but she can't drive it because the seals are being fixed" (which mean it was a leak) "and service is already closed for the day . She can start her paper work though" . I saw it he said I drove it from Honda and It's clean It looks good" what ? i thought Why didn't he say this at first. I went to check out the car and it was far from clean it had dents and the back seat had a hole or a burn in it. ( i couldn't really see because it was tinted and it was parked in the back right in front of a tree so the shade didn't make it better. I was thinking what a waste of my time!!!! but i decided to give them the benefit of doubt and go in and get more info. after about an hour and a half Diane came back to me and said you can start your paper work but the car wouldn't be ready until July!! honda can't fix it until then but you can buy it still now if you like. i immediately got offensive because I MUST have STUPID written across my forehead! i asked her why did she call me and schedule an appointment if the car wasn't ready and why is it on the site isn't that false advertisement . I'm confused I drove 30 mins away from home without traffic to purchase and seal this deal and this is what you tell me? they wouldn't at all drop the price! the car was 17,988 it wasn't worth that and not when you have to buy it and wait a month to drive it. I was completely flabbergasted at the fact that when I walked in the man at the counter knew all of this information and didn't say a word. I asked to speak to Rhodes but Dian said he was busy doing deals he was right in the office where I was standing. The sad part Diane looked as if she was in her later 60's .First Time Buyer

Me being a first time buyer was kinda scary because I knew my credit wasn't that great and I always thought I couldn't go to a "Real Dealership "… (anything other than a buy here pay here type place and always had to look into a pre-owned car. Mr.Morales was beyond great he put me in a brand new 2016 Kia Soul, made me feel comfortable when it came to buying a brand new car. He answered all and any questions I had and helped me get the best deal so I want to thank him and I DEFINITELY would recommend any to go to Kia of Cary and deal with Mr.Morales personally. Todd Adams had a car warming, and awaiting our arrival! He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and passionate… about the KIA Soul. David, the financial man, was very friendly and helpful as well, especially because of the late hour! There was also an older gentleman working there, I am sorry I did not catch his name, but is worth mentioning his warm, and helpful assistance. Every member of the Hendrick KIA of Cary's staff was very pleasant! We drove our KIA Soul home with a huge smile and a sense of amazement of how pleased we were from beginning to end. I asked for a couple of business cards, because I would recommend Todd and Hendrix KIA to anyone I know! Word of mouth advertising is priceless.
