Terrible Experience
by sonicbuffalo on 06/29/2013updated 04/24/2025My wife and I went to the lot looking for a 2012 Toyota Avalon limited. The online Carfax listed the car as a limited. We test drove the car and of course right in the middle of the drive, it started pouring rain. I turned on the wipers and… a blade flew off so I had to slow down and not use the wipers any more. We liked the salesguy so we excused the problem. We ended up buying the car and after driving it home, we found that the brakes were bad and wobbled very badly. We decided we wanted out of the deal, but the sales guy, the floor mgr., and eventually the GM himself only offered to repair the brakes and of course the wipers, but were adamant that they would not let us out of the deal. The GM never called us back, only had the floor sales mgr. call us. We felt that the dealership should have let us out of this deal. All they would say is that in NC, there is no cooling off period and refused to negate the deal. I would never buy a vehicle from them again, especially after the sales guy, who we liked, called and told us that the brakes failed because someone was going fast and jammed the brakes on real hard causing the rotors to warp. He said this happened between Saturday and Monday when we brought the car back, which insinuated I was the one who caused the brake problem. The dealership, in all fairness, did replace the rotors, but would not let us out of a deal that wasn't even 1 business day old. They also didn't give us a very good price on the trade in. Ken was very knowledgeable about the vehicle when dicsussing all the features and capabilities. He also was extremely nice and patient during… our phone conversation. Ken did a great job of offering the best price on the vehicle to start with which swayed me from going with another dealer. I am enjoying my new vehicle.First time buying a car I felt at ease!

He had asked how everything was going and I explained my situation with current car having engine problems. He showed me the Dodge Darts, which are fantastic cars.… While he was waiting for more information from the banks he actually took time to teach me how to drive a standard transmission, which is amazing. I was blown away with him doing this for me. Due to my credit situation we werent able to make a deal on the Dart, but they did have something used on the lot that was about the same and worked hard on getting the pricing down for me. He didnt really make any money from the deal. But I will be dealing with him in the future as he is a great salesman and a great guy.A refreshing change

We both had gotten to the point where we didn't want to deal with pushy sales people at dealerships any more. When I was ready to burry my current every… day ride I thought I would try the internet. I knew kind of what I was looking for and did my research. I requested some pricing from Capital CJD on a Dodge Dart I saw on their web site, I also requested no phone calls. A short time later an email appeared with the information I requested and a nice note to go with it. I decided to go and take a test drive, so my wife and I went the Capital CJD and met our salesman Harry D. What a refreshing change it was t ogo to this dealership and not be jumped on coming in the door by a bunch of hungry pushy sales folks. Harry was a blessing. His and the dealerships sales style is something my wife and I have always wanted to run into when buying a car. It was just a very enjoyable experiance !!! My wife even thanked Harry on our way out the door that first day for not being pushy and giving us time to make our decision. Well being the penny pincher I am when it comes to buying cars I contacted another local Dodge dealer with a huge presence in the triangle area to try and get a better deal. Same contact as I did before asked for pricing and no calls. My request had not been in for 5 minutes when I got called by this dealership (even though I asked for no calls) and the questions started. Their pricing seemed to be a little better than Capital but the experience they created lost them a sale. If your in the market for a new Chrysler, Jeep, or Dodge, please go the extra few miles and go see Harry D and the rest of the sales team at Capital CJD the treatment you get from that team is worrth the extra 5 or 8 miles it is to get there... I will be recommending them to everyone I know looking for a car. They will deal and treat you right without the push !!! I had never been to this dealership before and wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly… surprised at how nice this dealership was. Stacy was the salesman and he was so easy to deal with. It was cold and wet outside and Stacy never let the smile leave his face as I asked to drive several different trucks. We went inside to talk money and I refused the first offer, when I told him where I needed to be he instantly went to find out if this was a deal they would allow. He came back and shook my hand and said we have a deal. He made sure I understood all the features and that my truck was clean. I thought I would have to wait till the next day to take my new truck home but Stacy and the finance guy stayed late so I could take the truck that night. It's always great to see exceptional customer service.Excellent Job

My wife and I have been shopping for the past couple of months and were planning on making a purchase within the next 4 weeks. Everybody in this… business met me with a smile and a handshake. Ken went out of his way to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted in a vehicle. He made every effort to make sure I was completely satisfied with the entire experience. I walked in for the first time, and within a couple of hours, was on my way home with a new 2013 Dodge Durango. From Ken, to Mike (sales manager), to Curtis (Financing) the entire transaction was seamless and pain free and pressure free. They even delivered the vehicle back to my house in Greenville, and were more than happy to add that service with a smile. I look forward to many more years of business with these folks. I was having some car trouble and was looking around to find a place that accepted trade-ins in my area. Nick Nichols answered the phone when I called, when I… arrived he was very positive and just as excited as I was about getting what I thought would just be a new to me car. I was originally looking to get into another used car but Nick suggested I look at the new ones. I deliver pizza for a living and getting into another used car would just be another car I would have to pour money into in the next year or two. He told me with a new car, if properly cared for, would last me a long long time. So I looked around, found a few that I liked. After talking to the bank found out I was only able to get into the Dodge Avenger. So that is the one I test drove, and fell in love instantly. Nick took his time and spent all day with me. I have had my car for 1 week and 2 days and I still have the hugest smile on my face every time I see it. Our buying experience was without fail the best one we have ever had. All that was promised was delivered without any senseless games and haggling. by thompson11 on 01/22/2012updated 04/24/2025I purchased a new 2012 RAM 2500 Laramie. I located the vehicle using the RAM website new inventory tool. I emailed the dealership and received a reply the same day. There were two almost identical 2500's available on the lot. I had many… questions which Harry and Michael were proficient in providing prompt accurate answers. The price advertised online for the vehicle I purchased was competitive with other dealers. I was offered a better price via email. I did two more days worth of research looking for a better deal. Finally I called Harry and told him I wanted it but I wanted to trade out the drop in bed liner for MOPAR sidestep rails. I offered to pay the difference in price. It was almost closing time so the following morning we agreed no problem with the swap. It was now Friday and I live in Virginia so I told them I would be there to pick it up at 2 pm on Saturday. Harry said come on down. He even offered to get me a trailer to pull my Jeep home if I needed it. I arrived at the dealer on time, very nice looking dealership by the way. I was greeted at my car. The sales team was professional and courteous throughout the entire transaction. There was no haggling, the incredible price quoted was the price I paid. The 2012 RAM 2500 Laramie was fully prepped and ready. My wife, my daughter and I all enjoyed the time spent at the dealership. I put 250 miles on the truck getting home that evening. I could not be happier. I am telling all my friends and family about this dealership. He stopped at nothing until he got me what I wanted. The only truck fits my need is about 3 hours driving away. Sorry to hear this was not handled to your satisfaction. We do not have a policy for returning cars. Our first call to action would be to try and fix the problem. In this case we did as you mentioned in your review. I think the salesman just used the wrong words in trying to ask you if you had jammed on the brakes. That is what we felt may have caused the issue with the brakes and it did not really matter when it happened (before or after you purchased the car), we were going to take care of it. Again sorry for any inconvenience.
